WASHINGTON (AP) — Gulf allies of the United States, led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, are urging President Donald Trump to continue prosecuting the war against Iran, arguing that Tehran hasn’t been weakened enough by the monthlong U.S.-led bombing campaign, according to U.S., Gulf and Israeli officials.
After private grumbling at the start of the war that they were not given adequate advance notice of the U.S.-Israeli attack and complaining the U.S. had ignored their warnings that the war would have devastating consequences for the entire region, some of the regional allies are making the case to the White House that the moment offers a historic opportunity

I read a very good article that the Iranian missile and related technology came from N. Korea. The USA might knock out Iran's missile manufacturing, but with oil revenue, they will only buy more from N. Korea. And where does N. Korea get all the missile expertise, likely China and Russia. In any case, finish off Iran. We have had enough of them!

I remember being an engineering student at George Washington University, studying in an old townhouse that was designated for our use, when there was a racket outside. We went to the windows and watched as a bunch of protesters for and against the Shah walked by..... one group in the middle of the street, another group on the sidewalks on either side, and two lines of police, one on either side of the 'middle of the street' group, keeping them apart.
That was around 1979 or 1980.... a long time ago.
If my memory serves me correctly, the Mullets declared War on the USA soon after.
Every president since ol' Jimmah has Kicked the Can down the road..... letting the situation fester, and fester, and fester.
Now President Trump is working to clean up the Mess!
I wish him my wholehearted support.
Oh, and now that the Saudis and the rest are on board, it would be nice it they would CHIP IN and help the American Taxpayers PAY FOR ALL THIS!
And as #1 mentioned..... if we have to send in Troops on the ground to secure and recover the enriched Uranium, it sure would be nice if the Saudis and others would send some of THEIR guys to help!

It would appear that most countries prefer Iran to be stripped of its ability to wage war.

If the Saudis and UAE are telling Trump to fight on, then they too need to join the fight. I am also in favor of putting Iran out of business forever. Prior presidents created so much damage by giving Iran money. I can't forget those pallets of unmarked cash that Obama forwarded to these monsters. Multiple questions about this money are starting to rise. President Trump please do not cave, finish this once and for all.

It would be a great gesture on their part to send some of their own troops and money to help out cleaning up their "neighborhood".

Here is an assignment for you people.
Read the biography of Tom Lehrer, a math professor and satirical song writer, of the 1950s and 1960s.
Then look at his songs.
You will laugh, and life will never be quite the same for you.
And in one song, dealing with a multilateral nuclear force (MLF) he talks about giving Germany a part in the process, singing 'we taught them a lesson in 1918, and they've hardly bothered us since then.'
The MLF song would apply to Iran, in my learned opinion.
Let me know what you think of Lehrer. Listen to some of his songs - I recommend New Math, The Elements (sung by Dr. Sheldon Cooper on Big Bang Theory) Vatican Rag, The Old Dope Peddler.

BREAKTHROUGH!!!
The Arab countries have agreed to hold our coats - - and our beer - - while we shed our blood and fortune to protect them.
You can't ask for much more than that.

Ok fine. How about a little help then. This stinks. Every country in the world will benefit from the defeat of Iran but we have to do all the heavy lifting.

IMHO,
1. Find out where they keep their long-range missiles and blow them up.
2. Find out where they keep their long-range missile launchers and blow them up.
3. Find out where the fissionable nuclear material is stored, and putting so many tons of dirt on top of it will be pointless for them to try to dig it out.
4. Inform the nations that use the Strait of Hormuz, they need to formulate a plan or strategy to keep their traffic moving and their oil flowing.
5. Inform Iran's neighbors we've done our job, and it is their responsibility to patrol and protect their own neighborhood. Or pay full freight for America's continued involvement until April 30. If they want boots on the ground, it should be their own countrymen - not American boys and girls.
6. Draw down our troops in Arab countries.
7. Get out. NO American boots on the ground.

The Gulf allies need to help by invading. The Saudis, Kuwaitis, Iraqis, and Qatari, UAE need to land 500,000 troops, yesterday.
