As PJ Media previously reported, an illegal immigrant whom the Biden administration had caught and released at the border — and whom Democrat-run local authorities turned loose again after he committed a crime in Chicago — went on to murder Loyola University freshman Sheridan Gorman. He approached her, raised a gun, and opened fire as she tried to flee. She was pronounced dead at the scene. This is what sanctuary policy looks like in practice. Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson have made it a point of pride to shield illegal immigrants from federal immigration authorities, even when those immigrants have criminal records.

This story is wild. I’ll leave this here for y’all to comment below, but apparently, former National Counterterrorism Center head Joe Kent offered to testify in the trial of Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin, Tyler Robinson, for the defense. Michael Shellenberger of Public wrote a post about these allegations, specifically that Kent felt the FBI didn’t properly investigate the crime, believed there was a “foreign nexus,” and yes, Israel was part of this crazy story, although Kent couldn’t provide anything conclusive. In February 2009, the future Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar married a man named Ahmed Nur Said Elmi. It was her first legal marriage. The marriage ceremony was conducted by a Christian ministesr. There is no dispute about these facts, which are recounted by the Post.
All available evidence points to Elmi being Omar’s biological brother. No evidence points away from this fact.
But I have never understood the fixation on motivation. As with my “motive unclear” series, the alleged inability to confirm a motive does not erase the underlying act.
