The family of Sheridan Gorman, the 18-year-old Loyola University Chicago freshman gunned down near the campus by an illegal alien, unleashed a blistering condemnation of anyone suggesting she somehow contributed to her own killing by being in the "wrong place at the wrong time."
The damning response comes as Chicago Alderwoman Maria Hadden suggested Gorman and her friends may have unintentionally startled the armed suspect.
"The kids were out doing normal things people do in the neighborhood," Hadden told Fox 32. "They may have been in the wrong place at the wrong time, running into a person who had a gun."
"They might have unintentionally startled this person

An Air Canada flight arriving at LaGuardia Airport crashed into a rescue truck on Sunday night — leaving two pilots dead and two Port Authority cops seriously injured, according to sources.
Emergency vehicles swarmed Runway 4 at the Queens airport after a regional jet en route from Montreal struck a rescue truck responding to a separate incident just before 11:40 p.m., according to the Port Authority Police Department, the FDNY, and footage captured by the Citizen App.
Images showed the front of the commuter plane smashed and tilting in the air. Sources told The Post that the pilot and copilot aboard the crashed jet were killed.

The Supreme Court ‘s conservative majority on Monday sounded skeptical of state laws that allow the counting of late-arriving mail ballots, a persistent target of President Donald Trump.
The court heard arguments in a case from Mississippi that also could affect voters in 13 other states and the District of Columbia, which have grace periods for ballots cast by mail. An additional 15 states that have more forgiving deadlines for ballots from military and overseas voters also could be impacted.
A ruling is expected by late June, early enough to govern the counting of ballots in the 2026 midterm congressional elections.

Dems have been playing fast and loose with our elections for quite a while now. They keep testing every gimmick they can think of. Whatever they can do to make voting drag on longer, feel less secure, and leave more room for “funny business.” Of course the one thing they don’t want to do is the most obvious: voter ID.
Their schemes are always sold as some kind of better “access” or more “convenience,” but what they’re really doing is turning a civic act into a chaotic, messy process that Americans don’t trust.

For nearly a decade, Americans were told that powerful institutions had been weaponized against a sitting president and his supporters. Intelligence agencies, federal law enforcement, and political operatives were accused of bending the machinery of government toward partisan ends. The promise from President Donald Trump was clear: expose it, clean it up, and drain the swamp. Now more than a year into Trump’s second term, many voters are beginning to ask a simple question: Where are the results?

Former President Barack Obama sparked a social-media firestorm with his post praising former FBI Director Robert Mueller’s “commitment to the rule of law” after his death Saturday.
Mueller, who died at 81 on Friday night, was the special counsel tasked with investigating allegations that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election to benefit President Trump – a claim the current administration asserts was part of a “treasonous conspiracy” orchestrated by the Obama administration to “subvert” Trump.
“Bob Mueller was one of the finest directors in the history of the FBI, transforming the bureau after 9/11 and saving countless lives,”

There are many qualities you look for in a director of the National Counterterrorism Center, but an active imagination isn’t one of them.
Joe Kent, though, has shown since his high-profile resignation that he has one, and not the kind of imagination that makes for a great Elizabethan poet or a compelling noir novelist but the sort of fevered fancy that fuels the Candace Owens podcast.
Kent says, apparently quite sincerely, that President Trump may have launched the war against Iran because he feels threatened from shadowy forces connected to Israel.
In other words, what the combined military might of Israel and the ...

Donald Trump just dipsey-doodled the Democrats.
Only Trump can find leverage in the Democrats' TSA defunding — turning those broke, unpaid TSA agents and the disastrously long lines at the nation's airports into a teachable, brilliant, GOTCHA moment to behold. When Democrats figure out what hit them, they'll be so tattooed with this disaster, even the leftist screechers will lead the effort to restore TSA funding.
Things will change soon because local media in the woke cities are covering the increasing freak out by leftists because Donald Trump is replacing missing, unpaid, TSA agents with paid, and perhaps even masked, ICE agents

Viral video of a woman being nabbed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers at San Francisco International Airport sparked mass online fear-mongering about Trump’s deployment of immigration agents to help ease the TSA security crisis.
Video captured the moment ICE agents began handcuffing a crying woman on Sunday at around 10 p.m. inside the airport’s Terminal 3.
The officers were met with backlash from multiple passengers who filmed the scene and yelled at them, as the woman continued to cry with a young girl standing beside her, also sobbing.
“This is un-American,” one passenger is heard yelling.
“What is your badge number? What is your name?”

An Air Canada flight attendant was violently thrown from the plane that crashed into a fire truck at LaGuardia Airport on Sunday night — and was still strapped into her jump seat when she was found, sources said.
“It’s a complete miracle,” the woman’s daughter, Sarah Lépine, told Quebec outlet TVA Nouvellas.
“At the moment of impact, her seat was ejected more than a [300 feet] from the plane,” Lépine said of her flight-attendant mom, Solange Tremblay. “They found her, and she was still strapped into her seat. She had a guardian angel watching over her. It could have been much worse.” Tremblay suffered multiple injuries,

There is a cognitive bias called the Dunning–Kruger effect, which -- in my opinion -- would be better called the Obama-Mamdani effect today. Dunning-Kruger describes a delusional mindset where “People with low knowledge or skill in an area tend to overestimate how competent they are.” In biblical terms, this kind of hubris is defined by Paul in Romans 12:3 as one “...think[ing] more highly of oneself than one ought.” That Scripture verse captures the essence of two popular, similar politicians who, despite having little knowledge or skill, have convinced many Americans of an expertise that simply doesn’t exist

The Wall Street Journal recently reported on the growing divide between blue and red states when it comes to income taxes. What it failed to mention is that this shows the genius of the nation’s founders.
“Republican-led states are racing each other to flatten, cut, and eliminate individual income taxes, with 23 states lowering their top income-tax rates since 2021,” Richard Rubin and Jeanne Whalen write.
And, indeed, this year, nine states – all Republican – either cut their top marginal tax rate or lowered their flat tax rate. Ohio became the 14th state to adopt a flat tax.
“Democratic-controlled states are moving the opposite way
