President Donald Trump is not happy with NATO allies over the issue of the Iran war and their refusal to escort oil out of the gulf region. President Trump criticized the EU member nations for refusing to support U.S. military efforts in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump is then asked questions about if he would reconsider the U.S. relationship with NATO, warning it’s “not good for a partnership,” and signaling possible reconsideration of U.S. ties with NATO. The Europeans are used to appeasement. It's all they know. Even WWII didn't re-align their thinking. Why? We did their fighting for them. Since the EU focuses its spending on social programs and on costly but useless infrastructure, there is nothing left to build a defense program. Hence, all they can do is throw verbal insults to their adversaries and hope their adversaries don't gasp for air during laughing fits.

Our so-called NATO allies aren't doing all that much, are they? Britain, France, and Germany are overrun with Muslims so the white liberal politicians are scared to death of offending anyone with a burkha or a beard. This alliance is only convienient for Europe when it suits their interests poltiically, and any friendship based upon convienience isn't much of a friendship at all. They need us waaaayy more than we need them. How about the US not pull out of NATO , but also not contribute one red cent, just like Europe did for decades. We'll see who cries uncle first.

In gamesmanship, the best way to win is to echo your opponent's move. If they support you, you support them. If they stab you in the back, they get stabbed in the back. PDJT 2.0 has bent over backwards to support the UN and NATO. They've only stabbed him in the back. It's time they get stabbed in the back. Also, since most EU nations have sizable Muslim populations and they are out to destroy Western Civilization, there is no need for us to defend them while they seek to destroy us.

Thousands and thousands of our soldiers buried in Europe. 11,000 alone in the American Cemetery at Normandy. I have been there. Crosses and crosses. Enough to bring tears to your eyes. The EU can go to hell. Pull our money and if they don't like it, pull our bases and the accompanying payrolls and buying power. Tell the Euros to man up and defend themselves. They wouldn't be much help anyway. The French would drop their rifles and run and the others have minimized their militaries so they can spend more on welfare spending and immigrant leeches leaving the US to pick up the slack.

Had President Trump not presented the European allies with a fait acompli, in which they had no prior knowledge or input, the matter of securing the strait might have been enthusiastically embraced. Considering our history of failure in mid-east adventures, Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya, I can hardly blame other countries' leaders for not jumping into yet what might turn out to be another dud. I certainly support Trump's assault on Iran and do think that he can pull it off. As to NATO, it should be discarded and all our troops removed from Europe, Japan, South Korea and anywhere else. Stop complaining, Donald, just do it.

Cali Dems thought they had everything all figured out. They had a plan, and it was working like a finely oiled machine. Until it suddenly wasn’t. Years ago, Dems rolled out the “top-two” primary system with one assumption baked in for good measure: no matter what happens, two Democrats would likely always make it to the general election. It was supposed to lock in control, sideline Republicans, and keep everything nice and predictable. And for a while, sure, it worked. But these kinds of machines only work if your side stays disciplined. You need a clear front-runner, maybe two, and everyone else falls in line. But that’s not what’s happening now.

Does Election Day actually mean Election Day? That’s the key issue the U.S. Supreme Court is going to consider when it holds oral arguments in a pivotal elections case next week.Known as Watson v. RNC, the legal dispute centers around a challenge to a Mississippi law allowing election officials to accept mail-in ballots up to five business days after Election Day so long as they are postmarked on or before the day of the contest. The issue of accepting late-arriving ballots has become a prominent issue in elections in recent years, with more than a dozen states permitting such a practice.
