We have an old National Geographic magazine with a famous picture on the cover. It shows an Afghani girl with green eyes (a rarity in that area). Anyways, the exact same garbage was happening when that picture was taken 40+ years ago. They never stop fighting each other.

And what will the UN do about it? Make a resolution? Have a cocktail party? Have meetings and cry about it? Ask for more money? All of the above! Everything except take any action which actually involves helping the 100,000 displaced people because that might entail actually doing something.

No doubt the UN would send those 100,000 foreign Muslim “refugees” to the USA in a minute! In that respect, based upon their history, the leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrat Minnesota state government, if they had the authority to do so, would accept them in a minute and demand that Trump allow them into the USA!

American gasoline prices continued to rise on Friday and are up the most of any week since 2022. Iran widened attacks on energy-producing countries near its borders and the Strait of Hormuz remains closed to shipping, dashing hopes for a quick resolution to a crisis sending shockwaves through global markets. The United States last Saturday began a military campaign in Iran, one that has continued throughout the week with aggression. Friday at 1 p.m. Eastern, the U.S. national average price for regular gasoline had jumped approximately 35.9 cents per gallon from the same time in the previous week, reaching approximately $3.34 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.

A significant number of House Democrats voted “no” on declaring the Islamic Republic of Iran a “state sponsor of terrorism.” Sponsored by Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL), the resolution passed the U.S. House on Thursday by a 372-53 vote. Two Democrats voted present. While squad members like Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) were expected to vote “no,” a full 53 proved somewhat surprising. The resolution said nothing about President Trump’s strikes on Iran, while saying the regime “remains the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism and provides substantial financial and military support to groups including Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis,”

The U.S. is lifting some restrictions on Russian oil and considering more actions to “unsanction” it as the conflict in Iran raises prices globally, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Friday. Bessent told Fox Business that the U.S. would allow India to buy Russian barrels. “Yesterday, Treasury agreed to let our allies in India start buying Russian oil that was already on the water,” Bessent said. “The Indians had been very good actors. We had asked them to stop buying sanctioned Russian oil this fall. They did. They were going to substitute it with U.S. oil, but to ease the temporary gap of oil around the world,

An anti-regime protester who wanted to “show up for the Iranian people” was thrown to the ground and beaten Friday at a sparsely attended Manhattan vigil for Iran’s dead Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. While NYPD cops attempted to keep the two small groups separate, tension boiled over when Rami Even-Esh ripped down a picture of Khamenei at the demonstration in Washington Square Park. “Take this down!” he shouted, as a swarm of the dictator’s sympathizers — some donning keffiyehs — knocked him down and kicked him, according to footage from FreedomNTV. Cops quickly jumped in and placed him in handcuffs as blood gushed from the top of his nose.

President Trump warned that Iran would be ‘hit very hard’ on Saturday as the US forces’ “Operation Epic Fury” enters its second week. “Today Iran will be hit very hard! Under serious consideration for complete destruction and certain death, because of Iran’s bad behavior, are areas and groups of people that were not considered for targeting up until this moment in time,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. Trump deemed that the Iranian regime was no longer the “Bully of the Middle East” after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian apologized for attacking its Gulf neighbors.

Though most of the focus on Tuesday related to the 2026 midterm elections was on the Senate primary races in North Carolina and Texas, there were some shakeups in NC legislative primaries that saw eight incumbents - three Democrats and five Republicans - lose their reelection bids well before the general election plays out in the fall. But there is one undecided GOP primary - with a mere two votes separating the contenders - that in many ways has stunned political observers in North Carolina, one which the national media has even zeroed in on for its possible future political implications:

The name of the game is acting normal and talking like a moderate. For Democrats, that’s a stretch. James Talarico of Texas is their bright new “moderate” hope. We have some people who I think would do a good job,” he added, declining to name anyone. Trump said that he is taking steps to ensure that the people on his list make it through the war alive. That's a valid question after several NATO nations not only initially denied the use of their military bases during Operation Epic Fury, the ongoing attack on Iran, but also offered tacit support for the Islamic regime. Perhaps the most public betrayal came from Spain, whose left-wing prime minister claimed the United States was violating "international law."Given Spain's history over the last century or so, it wasn't exactly surprising that they'd take the side of Islamic fascists over the country that pays for their defense.

President Trump didn’t attend the star-studded memorial service for the Rev. Jesse Jackson but he was at the top of mind for many of its speakers. Kamala Harris, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Al Sharpton all used their eulogies to take pot shots at the president, his policies, and his vision for America. “Let me just say I predicted a lot about what’s happening right now,” Harris bragged as the crowd roared in applause. “I’m not into saying I told you so but we did see it coming."
