Gavin Newsom bets antisemitism is the
Democratic Party’s future

Gavin Newsom endorsed the lie Tuesday that Israel is an “apartheid” state — a damning sign of where the Democratic Party is headed, and how far it’s already sunk. At an event promoting his new book, the California governor said Israel’s critics are “appropriately” calling it an “apartheid” state — i.e., a knockoff of South Africa’s old segregationist regime. This is a lie — one so egregious that many deem it a form of antisemitism. Apartheid South Africa denied blacks the vote and forced them to endure separate hospitals, separate schools, and even separate bathrooms. Arabs, 20% of Israel’s population, vote and serve in the government and even the military; there is no segregation

Amazing as it seems, Jews tend to support dems, with votes and money. I suspect that both will dry up for a party that overtly supports anti semitism. We will see.

The ironic part is that Shapiro is the only sane Dem 2028 candidate on their bench, and they will refuse to support him.

More disinformation from the Sparkle Beach Ken. Arabs constitute just over 21% of Israel’s population and have all the rights and benefits of Israeli citizenship, including freedom of religion and representation in government. The truly “apartheid” side is the so-called “Palestinian,” who want Israel and Jews wiped off the face of the Earth. How, in God’s name, can any reasonable person not make this distinction??!!?

The real gift to the GOP was Gov. Newsom's admission the other day on Kimmel's show that California is over regulated. Over regulation plays an enormous part in affordability. Regulations are how Bureaucracies grow which requires even more tax monies, fees, etc.. to support. The larger the size of government plays an enormous part in affordability. They need to run numbers to show how much less taxes would be required if government was say 30% smaller than it is today in California. A side note, the City of Los Angeles shifted a large number of employees over to the Port of Los Angeles since the Port had revenues to cover their expense but are likely not working at the Port but still functioning in their old City jobs. So, Republicans need to start running on affordability and illustration how Democrats have created an unaffordable California over the past 20 years.

By blocking a Senate vote that would let the SAVE Act become law, Democrats are setting themselves up for big trouble — since their arguments against voter-ID are so transparently absurd. Per Pew, 83% of all American adults support requiring some form of ID to vote in US elections — and that includes 71% of Democrats. Which explains the massive alliance of left-wing groups mobilized to fight the voter-ID measure that should appear on the ballot this fall in California, a state Democrats now completely dominate. The ACLU, Common Cause and so on would love to derail the measure before it faces a vote, even though

Critics who call Operation Epic Fury folly or a distraction are missing the point: Iran is just one front in an ongoing, evolving global contest that includes Russia and China. It stretches to other fronts as well, though President Donald Trump has shut down the one in Venezuela and looks to have Cuba headed the same way. But Tehran is much more entangled with Moscow and Beijing, exchanging arms, technical know-how and intelligence. Even now, Russia is giving Iran high-quality intelligence to target missiles on US installations, experts conclude: Such precision is beyond the limited capabilities of the Islamic Republic’s handful of military-grade satellites.

We should all be concerned about serious problems with our elections, the heart of our democracy. But we can’t fix problems that we refuse to face. There was no better example of the head-in-the-sand attitude than what was recently demonstrated by Kristen Welker of NBC’s prestigious Meet the Press, as she held forth with House Speaker Mike Johnson in February, regarding, among other topics, the 2020 presidential election in Georgia. In the wake of the Trump administration’s FBI seizure of 2020 Georgia election records, Welker barked at Johnson that raising questions about the validity of the 2020 election is dangerous to our democracy.

Former President Joe Biden told mourners at Rev. Jesse Jackson’s memorial service Friday that he is "a h--- of a lot smarter than most of you," a pointed remark that stood out during his tribute to the late civil rights leader. Biden made the comment while recounting how he was mocked as a child for his stutter and how speech impediments are often mistaken for a lack of intelligence. "If I told you I had a cleft palate or clubfoot, none of you would have laughed," Biden said. "But it’s OK to laugh at stuttering. … It’s the one place where people think you’re stupid.

Perhaps we forgot what it’s like when politicians act on their promises. Perhaps our enemies forgot as well. For decades, American presidents — Democratic and Republican — have said the theocratic dictatorship in Iran cannot have nuclear weapons. For decades, those same administrations were strung along by the ayatollahs. American negotiators — like their European counterparts — sat through years of negotiations. And every time, the revolutionary government in Iran got closer to the bomb. Well, not this time.

The potential appointment of Mojtaba Khamenei is proving what Israel has long known: It has no intention of ever abandoning its destructive doctrine: Death to America, and death to Israel. Mojtaba Khamenei, the second-eldest son of former Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei, is reportedly set to succeed his slain father as Iran’s next supreme leader, as the Islamic Republic moves to preserve continuity while battling Israel and the United States. He has long been considered his father’s chosen heir apparent. He is reported to have formed close ties with the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and is thought to have gained increasing control over the regime’s decision-making

State Rep. James Talarico said just that on Tuesday night — "A little bit of hope is a dangerous thing" — and he meant it as a call to action, a summons to the faithful. But the line lingers in the Texas air for a different reason. Democrats are about to invest a great deal of time, money and, yes, hope in the notion that a young state legislator from Round Rock is the man who will break a nearly four-decade winless drought for his party in the Lone Star State. Hope can animate. It can also delude.

The beleaguered Iranian regime, with very few international allies, has been counting on Moscow's support amid the ongoing US-Israeli strikes, but so far it has been left deeply disappointed. Just hours after Israeli and US bombs started hitting Tehran on Saturday, Russia came out with a blunt statement, with the country's permanent representative to the UN, Vassily Nebenzia, calling it an "unprovoked act of armed aggression against a sovereign and independent UN member state." Moscow is one of Tehran's few but staunchest allies, and a possible collapse of the Iranian regime could be a blow for its geopolitical and economic interests. Then why has it not come to Tehran's rescue?

A major talking point among Democrats and their media handmaidens is that President Trump launched a “war of choice” against Iran. Given American casualties and the earth-rattling impact, the criticism could be a powerful political argument in the midterm elections — if it’s true. But it’s not true. In fact, we now can be certain that the war on Iran is not a war of choice. It is instead a war of American self-defense and maybe even a war of survival for Western civilization and Israel.

American gasoline prices continued to rise on Friday and are up the most of any week since 2022. Iran widened attacks on energy-producing countries near its borders and the Strait of Hormuz remains closed to shipping, dashing hopes for a quick resolution to a crisis sending shockwaves through global markets. The United States last Saturday began a military campaign in Iran, one that has continued throughout the week with aggression. Friday at 1 p.m. Eastern, the U.S. national average price for regular gasoline had jumped approximately 35.9 cents per gallon from the same time in the previous week, reaching approximately $3.34 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.

A significant number of House Democrats voted “no” on declaring the Islamic Republic of Iran a “state sponsor of terrorism.” Sponsored by Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL), the resolution passed the U.S. House on Thursday by a 372-53 vote. Two Democrats voted present. While squad members like Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) were expected to vote “no,” a full 53 proved somewhat surprising. The resolution said nothing about President Trump’s strikes on Iran, while saying the regime “remains the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism and provides substantial financial and military support to groups including Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis,”

The argument against the war with Iran boils down to two points. The first point is that this war was initiated by the hated President Trump, and so it should be opposed. That point cannot be rebutted because it is not a point at all; it’s simply a reactionary expression of hate by people who scarcely bother to conceal their hope that Iran wins. So, let’s move on to the second point. The second point is that we were able to handle Iran’s aggression for many years without going to war, and so we could have continued to handle its aggression for many more years without going to war.
