President Donald Trump said he is appointing Kristi Noem as his “special envoy for the Shield of the Americas” as he announced her removal as homeland security secretary. The White House says the initiative reflects Trump’s effort to shift U.S. national security strategy toward the Western Hemisphere.
Trump is scheduled to meet Saturday with leaders from 11 Latin American countries at his golf club in Doral, Florida, for what the administration is calling a “Shield” summit. Leaders from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Panama, Paraguay, and Trinidad and Tobago are expected to attend,

Something pretty big just went down behind the scenes in the federal government, and it could end up changing the entire illegal immigration game. According to a new report, the Department of Homeland Security appears to be stepping in and taking a more aggressive role in investigating illegal employment inside the United States.
And no, they’re not politely coordinating with the IRS. They basically just told them to “take a seat.”
DHS is reportedly bypassing the IRS and using its own investigative team to dig into the relationship between employers and illegal workers. For years, everyone avoided this tactic. Why? Because the uniparty knew it would actually break the pipeline,

High-profile fatal accidents on America’s highways involving semi-truck drivers with limited proficiency in English have led to a nationwide effort to crack down on the issuing of commercial driver's licenses (CDL) to such drivers.
Statistics that the Wyoming Highway Patrol released last week show how widespread the problem is. Out of 16,676 inspections on commercial vehicles in 2025, 676 resulted in violations where drivers failed the interview because they weren’t proficient in the English language.
This was the eighth most frequent violation Wyoming officials cited drivers for, and these are the numbers for just one state.

An effort by Senate Democrats to put their prerogatives ahead of Middle East peace was defeated Wednesday night.
The war powers resolution failed 47-53, according to the Associated Press.
Although the vote was largely along party lines, Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky voted in favor of the resolution to tie President Donald Trump’s hands, while Democratic Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania voted to let Trump wage war as he sees fit. “Democrats would rather obstruct Donald Trump than obliterate Iran’s national nuclear program,” Republican Sen. John Barrasso of Wyoming said.

Federal prosecutors in U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro's office are dropping a criminal probe into whether former President Joe Biden and his aides unlawfully used an autopen to issue pardons, a person briefed on the matter told CBS News.
Two sources confirmed the existence of the probe, with one telling CBS News that the matter has since been closed because prosecutors were never able to find a legal hook to be able to pursue the matter further. CBS News has not determined precisely when the case ended.
Last June, President Trump ordered an investigation into whether the Biden administration used an autopen machine to sign key presidential documents like pardons

It’s hard for taxpayers to stomach!
The Baltimore mayor’s office spent more than $890,000 on lavish meals and parties — including crab feasts, catered “farewell” bashes and massive tabs at Ravens football games, according to a report Wednesday.
Mayor Brandon Scott’s administration blew taxpayer cash on over-the-top perks for staffers — including $52,589 on grub in the Mayoral Suite at Ravens and Orioles games — in a gross violation of the city’s “public funds” rules, according to baltimorebrew.com. One of the elaborate meals was served at a $3,636 farewell “office party” for Scott’s former campaign manager Marvin James, which featured a $324 balloon arch, a $217 cake and a $2,600 catered spread

A number of U.S. representatives like to be driven in style, billing taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars for limo service from their office accounts, an investigation by The Center Square found.
Six U.S. representatives charged taxpayers nearly $30,000 to hire chauffeured limousines in the latest twelve months for which figures are available. Since January 2019, U.S. representatives spent more than $160,000 out of their office accounts with companies that had the word limo or limousine in their name, according to figures come from the U.S. House’s quarterly disbursement reports.
U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters, a California Democrat, spent the most on limo services, according to the data.

Israeli intelligence hacked into Tehran’s traffic camera network years ago to monitor the bodyguards of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other senior Iranian officials ahead of the supreme leader’s assassination, according to a newly released report.
The Financial Times reported that Israel’s Mossad intelligence organization gained access to the cameras, which form part of Iran’s surveillance apparatus used to identify and pursue protesters and regime opponents. One camera was positioned to show where members of Khamenei’s security team parked their vehicles.
Through the footage, Israeli intelligence compiled files on the guards’ home addresses, work schedules, and protection assignments.

We all know that Gov. Gavin Newsom’s California is home to rampant waste, fraud, and abuse, and that the state regularly encounters major budget crises. That’s because the Golden State funded healthcare for illegal immigrants and a bullet train to nowhere, and regularly throws money at leftist social projects while our quality of life drips, drips, drips into the Pacific. But did you know, California residents, that your hard-earned tax dollars get used to pay for the security of a private citizen while she goes on a book tour, a tour that will make her money but has nothing whatsoever to do with governing the state?

A prominent Shiite organization in Dearborn, Michigan, held a memorial for the late Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei over the weekend, honoring him for his "martyrdom" while accusing Americans of being led by Satan.
"We're gathered here today to commemorate the martyrdom of the great leader of our time, Sayyid Ali Hussein Khamenei," said Hassan Salamey, one of the speakers at the memorial held at the Hadi Institute on Sunday, a day after U.S. and Israeli forces executed Khamenei and other top Iranian officials in Operation Epic Fury.
Footage of the service went viral after being shared by the nonprofit Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) on X.

Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss funneled millions of dollars to the left-wing organizations that are organizing the anti-Donald Trump "No Kings" protests and spearheading lawsuits targeting President Trump's immigration and energy policies, according to new tax filings obtained by the Washington Free Beacon. They reveal the extent to which Wyss, a foreign national, is central to anti-Trump resistance efforts.
The Berger Action Fund, one of two nonprofits Wyss has used to funnel hundreds of millions of dollars to left-wing causes, gave a total of $57.3 million to 11 activist groups between April 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025, the disclosures show. That includes $3 million to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU),
