WASHINGTON — Former Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith told lawmakers in a closed-door interview on Wednesday that his team of investigators “developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt” that President Donald Trump had criminally conspired to overturn the results of the 2020 election, according to portions of his opening statement obtained by The Associated Press.
He also said investigators had accrued “powerful evidence” that Trump broke the law by hoarding classified documents from his first term as president at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, and by obstructing government efforts to recover the records.
“I made my decisions in the investigation without regard to President Trump’s political association,

What do you expect this corrupt lying donkey's rear end to say - that he is a corrupt, lying donkey's rear end and that's why he manufactured all the "facts" and evidence.

First of all, he got the "developed" part right. Secondly, if you think these people are just going to leave Trump and us alone after Trump is out of office, you're an idiot!!!!!

Then WHY wasn't such evidence found? Because we know you'd have used it if that were true. You are a liar, Jack. But then, we already guessed that to be true.

He might be right in that PDT did "attempt" to overturn the 2020 election. But was such an effort illegal? Maybe as Chief Executive he was simply trying to enforce the law of the land.

This is classic liberal deception.
You get a politician or two to say something. No proof, just a statement. The propaganda media picks it up and reports it. Then the media asks a Deep State operative, "Is it true?" and of course the operative says yes, again without proof. They are a chain of liars.
The problem they face now is that the credibility of the media is diving for zero and the Deep State has been identified and discredited. The dems are running around with ping pong paddles and are too stupid to believe. The only people that believe this insanity is the hard Left.

How is it "closed door" testimony, if AP gets to publish parts of it? Open the doors and let's hear it all, not just the parts filtered through a Marxist news organization.

Why was this hearing behind closed doors? One of the major reforms which must be applied to both Houses of Congress is no more closed door hearings. We the citizens have a right to a completely open government. As usual the republicans are showing who they really are by having this interview hidden from us. Another reform badly needed is all meetings with lobbyists be televised on the internet. No more dinners, trips, secret meetings, free this and free that from lobbyists. We demand a completely transparent government.

Closed door depositions are common. Each side gets an uninterrupted hour of questions by members and committee attorneys.
Open testimony are 5 minutes for each committee member. And for Dems, that means 4:50 of an anti-Trump monologue followed by a yes or no answer -- or no answer at all from the witless witness.

HE "alleges" 'proof beyond a reasonable doubt' , the courts disagreed...he uses a standard for a conviction that HE did not achieve, has not been upheld, and in fact has been adjudicated unfounded/untrue. The FBI both in Washington and Miami gave Multiple "Reasonable" reasons for doubt, before the warrants were drawn up, during the process, after the process, after the warrants were served, and since then in returning much of the stuff to Trump, and or The Archives. The FBI and the DOJ had no "reasonable" role to play in anything the Archives wanted from Trump, as none of THAT was a criminal matter in any way.
So the facts seem to Be, Smith et al made unreasonable legal claims, took reasonable actions, without standing/jurisdiction to do so, and performed an "Unreasonable Search and Seizure".

Of course there was proof beyond a reasonable doubt in Jack’s. Adam Schiff said so, and a gunslinger was hired to enforce the party line. Now that evidence is showing the work to be a wet dream of the Democratic Party, he has to find a stance where he cannot be blamed

"...Smith lawyer Lanny Breuer, told reporters. “Let’s be clear: Jack Smith, a career prosecutor..."
Two things:
1. Career prosecutors are the bottom scum of the whole lawyering racket.
2. Former prosecutor Lanny Breuer, Jack Smith's sponsor & mentor in Eric Holder's Justice Department, was also Sandy Berger's (Clinton's document burglar) defense attorney. Word is, that even in Washington he's despised.
