Poland's Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz said the program, which he dubbed "the largest defense training in Polish history" would be available to "all Polish citizens," from primary school children to old-age pensioners. The German Interior Ministry on Wednesday banned the group "Muslim Interaktiv," which calls for a worldwide caliphate and rejects the democratic order enshrined in Germany's constitution, the Basic Law.
A ministry press release described the association "Muslim Interaktiv" as "opposed to the constitutional order and the idea of international understanding," adding: "The association will be dissolved. The assets of Muslim Interaktiv will be confiscated."
The association views the Muslim community in Germany as a minority that is discriminated against and ostracized from society.
The European Commission's latest enlargement report heaped praise on Ukraine and Montenegro, whilst criticizing both Serbia and Georgia on Tuesday.
Brussels' report is annual scorecard for countries that are hoping to join the European Union.
Ten countries are currently aiming to join the bloc — a list that also includes Moldova, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Kosovo and Turkey.
"Expanding the Union is in our best interest," the EU's foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas told reporters in Brussels.

China has tentatively agreed to curtail sales of fentanyl to Mexico and other Latin American nations. For three decades, Beijing sent the raw product to Latin American and Mexican cartels. The gangs then processed and disguised the toxic brew as less lethal narcotics and prescription drugs for export. The cartels laundered the profits with additional Chinese help, along with the feigned ignorance of the Mexican government. Since 1999, imported fentanyl-laced drugs have killed approximately 600,000 Americans through addiction and accidental overdoses. That number nears the death toll of all Americans killed during the Civil War.
Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman told CNN's "State of the Union" this morning that Democrats should immediately vote to reopen the government and avoid cuts to food stamps, Obamacare subsidies, and airport security.

The Wall Street Journal reports this morning on the aftermath of the Big Apple fight over socialism, where capital lost. Zohran Mamdani won easily last night, winning an outright majority of ballots cast by New York City voters, 50.6% as of this morning with 87% of precincts reporting. Andrew Cuomo got 41.7%, while Curtis Sliwa -- the only rational candidate still left on the ballot -- received 7.1% of the vote.
New York City has chosen socialism, and the WSJ suggests that capitalists will just have to suck it up. But is that their only option?
