Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas said Wednesday she is “strongly considering” running for the U.S. Senate, and she claimed her decision could serve as “karma” against Republicans.
Crockett made the comments during an appearance on SiriusXM’s “The Lurie Daniel Favors Show,” Axios reported.
Her remarks came as she railed against GOP-led redistricting in Texas while ignoring the fact that Democrats have long gerrymandered districts in their own states. And then the other option is every other day there’s a poll that comes out that makes it clear that I can win the primary for the U.S. Senate race in Texas,” Crockett said. “And I am looking.

Matched against most democrat senators, she is well qualified, very stupid and not afraid to show it.

Doesn't she have to resign from the House to run for a different seat? I am not sure. Karma would be if she lost in the primary and her old seat got picked up by a Republican. I also wonder if her district is getting changed in the redistricting and she is worried about a challenge there?
I am not familiar with Texas politics. Maybe a Lone Stater here can enlighten us.

Of course she could win the primary, but then she would have to run against a Republican. In Texas.

Only Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, and Texas have 'resign to run' laws. But since she has less than 13 mos remaining as a US Congress representative (being a Texas rep), she will not have to resign. However, she has less a chance to win Senate seat than did Beto and several other much better Dem candidates have already announced their running. She may have fooled her minority local Dallas constituents, but she'll never win a statewide office. Me, I say, 'Bring it on'.

#3 crotchitch's district is so gerrymandered that a conservative of any party has no prayer. Much of South Dallas county is comprised of government subsidized minority areas.
I live on in a suburb on the fringe and the proposed redistricting would remove me
from her area but it would still include parts of South Dallas which would still most likely elect a dim. The entire DFW metroplex is growing rapidly and has succumbed to the old adage that "you can run, but you can't hide" when choosing
where to live.

Please do. She probably wouldn't survive the Texas Dem primary, but she certainly would get trounched by whoever is the Republican nominee.

I encourage her to so do.
Assuming RINO Cornyn loses in the primary, to Paxton (which he should), Paxton would roll over Crocket.

The redistricting will effectively put Ms. Crockett out of a job. I’m sure she’s delusional enough to think Texas voters will elect her as a US Senator. Laughable. She’d be better off spending time working on her resume. I’m sure she can get a gig on MSNBC. She has all the qualifications.

The Dems really have nobody with any chance to win to run in Texas. Even Robert Francis "Beto-the-Faux-Mexican" O'Rourke is sitting this one out!!!
She would probably do OK in the Soviet Socialist People's Republikkk of Austin, but even liberals in Texas can't stand her. A walking stereotype of ghetto trash is not going to win in Texas!!!!! And now that her seat has been gerrymandered out from under her, my guess is that she will be frying chicken at Popey's in 2027!!!

These folks live in their own DC bubble world.
Like Kamala, she would get her butt kicked in Texas.
That being said, I hope she runs for the Senate after her district gets wiped off the map.
