New York's infamous crime families are making headlines again. As the Oct. 23 arrests and indictments allegedly show in stunning detail, the old-school Italian mafia – La Cosa Nostra with its loyalty oaths, nicknames and lucrative gambling rackets – haven't gone away. (Snip) Patel − and the charging documents − detailed how mafia members used high-tech tools, along with their old-fashioned racketeering schemes, to help orchestrate major aspects of the criminal operation. "Not only did we crack into the fraud that these perpetrators committed on the grand stage of the NBA, but we also entered and executed a system of

One of the Five Families was missing. What happened to the Colombo family? Did they get left out of all the fun? Apparently, very few mobsters went straight after Guiliani successfully prosecuted the and sent them away thirty-five years ago. Criminals will be criminals.

Pritesker. Chicago. Mafioso land. 1.4 million at card table. I just wonder. Is he one of "them?" 1.4 million bucks on a card game. Surely. Maybe we'll see him taken down.

The worst of the worst. Chauncy Billups, I feel for you, pal. But getting in bed with the mafia crowd on this poker scam was a very very bad idea. All I can tell you, Chauncy, it will be best to always steer clear of two buckets filled with wet cement also known as custom-fit cement shoes. It's how the mob dispatches people who know too much. Good luck, son.

Chauncey Billups was a hood 30 years ago when he arrived on campus at Colorado University. So his connection with the mob organized rigged poker tables is not out of character. Bad behavior does not happen in isolation. Once a hood always a hood.

I know I'm going to get blasted for this comment, but I actually love this story. It brings me back to my Brooklyn/Italian roots about these bad boys. Those bad boys can be and are vicious. But, given everything Trump and our country have been put through over these last 10 years, lawfare, the assassination of Charley Kirk, the two attempted assassinations against Trump, open borders, brutal rapes and murders of beautiful American women, 300,000 missing and unaccounted children, Biden going after parents at school board meetings, Catholics that attend traditional Latin Mass, tapping the phones of republican senators and congress people, stolen 2020 election.....I could go on, this story is absolutely charming. Yes, people were swindled out of their gambling winnings but there are no deaths, well at least at this point. It's like watching a movie. And the fact that the FBI has the time to do this investigation and indictments given everything else they are dealing with, just goes to show how incredibly brilliant and competent Trump and his staff are. So sit back. and let's see where this story leads.

This basically compromises the enthusiasm for all sports ...especially pro. I now can't watch any game without wondering about the if the 'fix' is in. A total waste of time watching any game, a waste of money buying memorabilia, and certainly a waste of money & time going to any pro game. Speaking of 'fixes' ...I imagine the 'fix' is in with concession stands, etc., as the cost is on par with dinner at a 5 star NY restaurant.
Goodbye sports!!

The Mafia used to shoot each other in the streets of New York, now it's too dangerous for them to go out there.

I have wondered for some time about the relentless gambling ads during football games. Fanduel, MGM, et. al. Big money. Draws the criminal element every time. Maybe it's ALL rigged.

JB Pritzker just happened to go to Vegas on vacation with his wife.
JB just happened to "get lucky" and win $1.4 million - supposedly playing blackjack (unconfirmed)...
JB supposedly reported it to the IRS. It went public.
JB is not verifying casino where he won it.
No witnesses have come forward.
JB approves all new casinos in Illinois.
Is there more to this story?
