Hamas terrorists have started to free the last remaining hostages in Gaza Monday morning, following a historic peace deal brokered by President Trump.
The freed individuals had spent over 730 days in captivity after they were among a group of 250 kidnapped from southern Israel and dragged into Gaza during Hamas’ deadly Oct. 7, 2023 invasion. An elated mother of one of the freed Israeli hostages was able to video chat with her son for the first time since he was taken captive by Hamas during the Oct. 7 attack on Israel.
"You’re coming home! You’re all coming home!" Einav Zangauker was seen telling her 25-year-old son,

Saleh al-Jafarawi, a popular Palestinian influencer who documented the war in Gaza, but also celebrated the Oct. 7, 2023 massacre in Israel, was killed on Monday in clashes between Hamas and other Palestinian factions, according to reports.
Jafarawi’s death was cheered by many Israelis, who saw him as a Hamas propagandist, though many pro-Palestinian activists mourned him — including the wife of New York City mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani.
Rama Duwaji shared an Instagram story about “beloved Jafarawi, with four broken heart emojis.

New York City’s 81st annual Columbus Day Parade on Monday was canceled due to the governor’s state of emergency order and inclement weather spurring floods across the tri-state area.
The Columbus Citizens Foundation, which organizes the parade through Manhattan, announced the cancellation late Sunday evening, just over 12 hours ahead of its scheduled start time.
The parade won’t be rescheduled, the group added.
“Due to the Governor’s declaration of a State of Emergency this evening in response to the dangerous weather conditions brought on by the Nor’easter, including high winds, heavy rain and flooding in surrounding areas, we must cancel the 81st Annual Columbus Day Parade-

President Donald Trump pulled off a monumental accomplishment with the peace deal in Gaza.
He will be going to Israel to speak there on Monday. The hostages are expected to be released on Monday. Twenty of the remaining 48 are reportedly believed to be alive. Negotiators instrumental in the deal, Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, were in Israel ahead of Trump on Saturday. They were in Tel Aviv's Hostage Square along with Ivanka Trump and a crowd of tens of thousands of people waving Israeli and American flags, cheering what the Trump team has achieved.

In the escalating drama of the 2025 government shutdown, one thing is becoming increasingly clear: President Trump is refusing to allow Democrats to wedge the country into humiliation, inaction, or moral collapse. Recent events make clear that Democrats didn’t merely stumble into this shutdown — they *planned* it. As Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer recently admitted, “we prepared for this,” using health care subsidies and ideological bargaining chips as a cudgel. Meanwhile, Trump has struck back, refusing to let his political opponents have the sole power to define the stakes.

As this Friday is World Day Against the Death Penalty, I have been thinking a lot lately about an audio recording I made with my father when I was only six years old. In it, he said to me: “Your heart is your country and currently your country is one big prison. But there will come a day when you will see paradise, and that is when Iran will be free.” The recording is precious to me because those were among the last words my father uttered in my presence. Only months later,

President Donald Trump said Saturday that he has directed the Defense Department to use “all available funds” to ensure U.S. troops are paid Wednesday despite the government shutdown, a short-term fix that will not apply to the hundreds of thousands of federal workers who have been furloughed.
Trump said in a social media post that he was acting because “our Brave Troops will miss the paychecks they are rightfully due on October 15th.”
The Republican president’s directive removes one of the pressure points that could have forced Congress into action, likely ensuring that the shutdown — now in its 11th day and counting — extends into a third week and possibly beyond.

Black Chicagoans are taking to social media to welcome President Donald Trump’s deployment of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and national guard troops to the Windy City to clean up the city’s streets and deport criminal illegals.Recently, U.S. Border Commander Greg Bovino posted a video to social media showing Chicago residents happily shaking his hand and thanking him for coming to their city to bring law and order. While some may dismiss Bovino’s video as “propaganda,” there is no denying that many members of Chicago’s black community are grateful for his presence and that of ICE or the National Guard in their city.

During a roundtable event on Antifa with President Donald Trump, Bruner explained that he, GAI President Peter Schweizer, and their team “followed” a trail of money and “followed it to the top of what” they called the Protest Industrial Complex, or Riot Inc. Bruner explained that the so-called “Riot Inc.” was made up of many different divisions, and that “dozens of radical organizations” have received millions of dollars from Riot Inc.We found a network of NGOs, it’s not just the Soros network, the Open Society Network. It’s other funding networks, the Arabella Funding Network, the Tides Funding Network, Neville Roy Singham and his network,

Van Jones, the CNN host and commentator, recently complained that neither the global left nor the mainstream media are covering the horrific violence against Nigerian civilians by Islamic terrorists.
True, they are not reporting the slaughter.
Truer still, they should be.However, Van Jones went completely off the rails when he blamed “the Jews.”
Or as he put it, “No Jews, no news”—a stereotyped statement as anti-Semitic as it is untrue.
In truth, lots of mass violence worldwide is ignored.
Unlike Trump, neither the left nor the mainstream media cared much for the recent mass ethnic cleansing of Armenian Christians from Nagorno-Karabakh—more than 120,000—by Azerbaijani Muslims.

Tours at the Capitol have come to a standstill. The House is keeping its doors closed, while the Senate is stuck in a loop of failed votes on a rejected plan to reopen the government. President Donald Trump is threatening to mass fire federal workers and refuse back pay for the rest.
As the government shutdown enters a second week, there’s no discernible endgame in sight.
“You have to negotiate,” Sen. Bernie Sanders, the independent from Vermont, argued late into the evening on the Senate floor. “That’s the way it works.”
