Joe Biden's post-presidency has been rough, to put it mildly.
Nearly nine months after Donald Trump reclaimed the White House, Biden is holed up in Wilmington, Delaware, grappling with a reality that must feel like political exile. He's dealing not just with the sting of losing power, but also the inability to sell access and enrich his family. Though he won’t admit to the latter.
The irony couldn’t be thicker. After years of attacking Trump and using the Justice Department in a desperate bid to put his successor behind bars, Biden now finds himself being told by his own advisers to stay quiet and act like a traditional ex-president.

I think of the example of George Bush who has stayed out of commenting on politics. Biden should follow his example.

Biden struggled with his congressional duties and he struggled with his presidency. It's no surprise that he can't cope with normal life either. Give him a hammer and nails and tell him to go build a library or something.

While they want us to feel Joe's pain, his lack of marketability, state of poverty, and need for financial aid, he does have three homes he could put on the market. He could invest the proceeds and live in a more modest dwelling like Warren Buffet. Problem solved.

Just set up a podium and bright lights for the ol' boy and tell him he's still president and needs to give speeches every couple of days. If he wants to watch his speech on TeeVee, show him a rerun of himself from a few years ago. He'll never know the difference.
What? Is that cruel?

From the beginning in 1973, FJB never had any smarts or marketable talents--only a marketable office from a state with a majority of dumbassed voters. He marketed the hell out of that office, sold his soul for political power, and wishes he still had it it, illegitimate though it was. (He was cheated into office in 2020.) Never forget that if he had had his way, he wanted a second term so Obama and Co. could continue running the USA toward Second or Third World status. FJB has no socially redeeming value whatsoever. History will be brutal to him, as it should be. He damn well knows that.

I’m just getting around to reading “Breaking Biden” about all his financial shenanigans. The family has blown through millions of dollars over the years. Family members have held few, if any, legitimate jobs since 1972. They’ll all be hurting big time before long.

When you've grafted all your life and now can graft no more, the ennui sets in. And when you're set in a dirty diaper 'cause the "doctor" is busy with her gin, then it gets worse. And where is the smartest man he knows? Passed out in a bus station restroom stall?
But I blame the DimoKKKrap party- they should have elected a pineapple instead of Old Sloppy Joe. Only then would Kamel A Hairass have possibly looked like an improvement.
If Sloppy Joe were still alive, he would be mortified to see how an energetic, knowledgeable, talented, and properly motivated POTUS lives his life and term in office. As do Obumbum, Bush, and Clitton. Big Mike is now DEEPLY scornful of Bajax OBumbum.

Joe, you reap what you sow.
I hope you and your family saved some of the money that was laundered through all those LLCs. You no longer have anything of value to sell to the political jackals.
You may be the only modern day president who cannot afford to build his library.
I am sorry you have cancer and I will continue to pray for you, but I also pray you stop worrying about money and power before it is too late.

I doubt Joey is sentient enough to know what a pariah he is. As #11 said, Jill probably feels it more than Joey. No more Vogue covers, rubbing elbows with the fashion glitterati, invitations to give platitude-riddled speeches to the gullible, and to add insult to injury, stuck spending her days with a senile, incontinent, diaper-wearing jerk.

I don't understand the reason to wait so long to start cancer treatments. Then add the dementia. Would a 'DNR' be a better treatment for comfort?
But, alas, no matter his state of mind or health, he is more profitable to his family while he is still breathing.

Poor Joe Biden is struggling? Please excuse me ladies and gentlemen because my give-a-Schiff-o-meter is way past broken in regard to this individual. I'm not going to remind everyone of what Biden has done as a Senator and Vice President. I'll just go into more recent history when he became my Commander-in-Chief. Everything thing he did was to the detriment of not only We the People and my beloved country but ONE man. He used every trick in the book to destroy the person who and many like me feel actually won in 2020. What's also pathetic is as way back when Biden went to DC in the early 70s the media ran cover for him. That was of course when everyone got their news from the so-called big three networks ABCNBCCBS. Plus, newspapers like the NY Slimes, Washed Compost and the Associated Pressed. He was given a pass for things that we'll be dealing with long after he's gone. One example is the border. Allowing millions of illegal alien criminals to flood into my beloved country like a plague of locusts. Now PDJT is trying to clean up that huge mess. I read somewhere that he's struggling with cancer. All I'll say is that hopefully he beats that because even though I detest the man I don't wish that disease on my worst enemy. I want Biden to live long enough to see what his four years as President has done to the USA. He can struggle with that.

Just put poor old Joe on a train with a caregiver every morning, and then have him come back on a return train. That would be familiar for him, he'd get the same amount of work done as when he was in the WH, and he could have as much tapioca as he wants.

I really don't think Joe knows much of anything that goes in the world anymore. Any remarks he makes will be written for him. It's "Doctor" Jill that will miss the limelight and (unearned) plaudits.
Hunter's protection is also mostly gone, and he could be sweating a few bullets right now.

#16 Excellent question. Especially since I just read in the last couple of days that daddy paid junior $120,000/month the four years they were in our White House. Also that Momma Jill was his cocaine supplier and that she was the worst spender of any of the First Ladies. Cocaine can be pricey, I guess.

The tens of millions dollars in bribe money paid to Biden, Inc. by various and sundry foreign bad actors still exists, parked in numerous surreptitious overseas bank accounts from countries with solid banking secrecy. You can be sure that not a cent of it has been reported to the IRS, not a cent of income tax paid on it. If Joe, Jill, Hunter, Ashley, or anyone else in the family tree tries to have any of it wired into the USA, tax evasion and bribery charges will soon follow. They didn't earn it legally. Easy come, easy go. It would really suck to have no salable talents or skills, but if you were a Biden, you'd know what that feels like. It runs in the family.
