Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) called Secretary of War Pete Hegseth a “laughing stock.”
Host Jake Tapper said, “You’re a veteran, so I would be remiss if I didn’t ask you what you thought of Secretary Hegseth and President Trump’s discussion before the generals at Quantico?”

The Schumer Shutdown is dragging into the weekend, with neither side budging. Republicans pushed for a straightforward continuing resolution to keep the government funded through November, but Democrats chose to hold the line for their wish list of radical spending priorities—billions and billions of dollars’ worth—and in doing so, shut the government down. The media has focused on their demand for free health care for illegal immigrants, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. An FBI Agent was fired for refusing to arrest and perp walk James Comey, according to Reuters.
Per Reuters: “An FBI agent was relieved of duty for declining to arrange a “perp walk” of the bureau’s former director, James Comey, in front of news media cameras after Comey was federally charged last month, four people briefed on the matter said on Friday.”
Comey will be arraigned on October 9. His case was assigned to US District Judge Michael Nachmanoff, a Biden appointee.
