Denmark on Sunday ordered a ban on civil drone flights, after several unmanned aerial vehicles were witnessed at military facilities overnight, following a week in which drone sorties caused the temporary closures of several airports in the Nordic country. The Danish military said it had deployed "several capacities" in response to the overnight drone sightings. Earlier this week, drones forced Denmark to close its airports, including Copenhagen Airport, which was closed for nearly four hours on Monday. Denmark has called the drones part of a "hybrid attack" but the government has stopped short of saying definitively who it believes is behind the missions.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth summoned senior U.S. military leaders from around the world for a meeting in Quantico on Tuesday -- a rare gathering of the country's military leadership in one location. "I want to tell the generals that we love them, they're cherished leaders, to be strong, be tough and be smart and be compassionate," Trump told Reuters in an interview. "That's all that is, esprit de corps. It's about time somebody did that," he added.

Her legacy also includes numerous bank robberies, kidnappings, and armed robbery charges, most of which she walked away from scot-free until the murder conviction. She escaped the New Jersey Corrections Institute for Women and fled to Cuba, where then-President Fidel Castro granted her asylum in 1984.

“Epic” is how a lengthy article in the Wall Street Journal last week described the current investment in AI. In today’s dollars, it dwarfs the investment in the railways in the 1800s. It dwarfs the investment in electrifying America in the early 1900s. It dwarfs the investment in the interstate highway system in the mid-1900s. It dwarfs the investments in the internet at the end of the last century. So, went the gist of the Journal’s article, it must all be an investment bubble – right? – that will come crashing down the way Pets.com and other internet stocks did.

How does America survive when its citizens belong to two divided camps that believe fundamentally incompatible things? Over the last century, there has been a trend to establish “truth and reconciliation commissions” in countries emerging from periods of political terrorism, totalitarianism, or civil war. The idea is to acknowledge the crimes and atrocities that past governments officially sanctioned and to recognize the harms inflicted upon their victims. As is often the case when governments “disappear” citizens or throw them in gulags for their politically incorrect thoughts, it is the not knowing that haunts society. Survivors bereft of answers are left with inconsolable anguish.
