Roy Cooper, the leading Democrat for North Carolina's open Senate seat in 2026, says one of his major "accomplishments" as the state's governor was the creation of a "racial equity" task force that pushed to eliminate cash bail for certain crimes. That policy led to the release of career criminal Decarlos Brown not long before he senselessly murdered Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska on a Charlotte subway train. A Cooper campaign website highlights his creation of the Governor's Task Force for Racial Equity in Criminal Justice in June 2020 as one of his major "accomplishments" during his service as North Carolina's governor from 2017 to 2025. The whole "equity" premise behind facilitating the rapid release of black offenders is questionable. The majority of their victims are black and the neighborhoods they are set free to menace again are usually largely black as well. In Brown's case his own family though he and the community would have been better served by incarcerating him and attempting to address his apparent mental issues.

When politicians care more about getting mentally ill criminals released than getting them treatment, it's nothing to be proud of. It should be obvious to any thinking person that someone with 14 prior arrests isn't getting the treatment he needs. The task force focused on "racial equity" but could that focus have prevented a more serious look at prioritizing treatment and public safety?

Cooper and his fellow Marxists are NOT soft on crime. They are pro crime. They do things that facilitate criminal activity; therefore, normal people conclude they want the criminals out in the public committing criminal acts.

A trio of rising Democratic Party stars are slated to speak at an anti-Israel convention this week alongside a deep roster of Hamas sympathizers and anti-Semites. Michigan Senate candidate and former CNN contributor Abdul El-Sayed (D.), Rep. Ro Khanna (D., Calif.), and Michigan lieutenant governor Garlin Gilchrist (D.) are listed in the lineup for ArabCon, an event hosted by the American-Arab Discrimination Committee (ADC) in Dearborn, Mich., a majority-Muslim town dubbed "America’s Jihad Capital" because so many of its city and religious leaders have sided with Hamas against the United States and Israel. All three of the Democrats are running—or likely running, in Khanna’s case—for prominent political offices.

The Trump administration is warning migrant sponsors to take financial responsibility for them or expect to be slapped with steep fines, lawsuits, or even prosecution. American citizens who sponsor migrants that end up using taxpayer-funded benefits like food stamps or housing assistance will be held financially liable and could even face criminal charges, according to a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) memo obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. The announcement, which is intended for all migrant sponsors across the country, marks the latest policy crackdown by the Trump administration.

Here's what went down. Back in December of 1992, two dozen of Sherrill's fellow midshipmen were expelled from the Naval Academy after it was discovered they had obtained and shared the answers to an electrical engineering exam.

The poll of roughly 2,000 Americans and 2,200 foreign workers was conducted by Blind, which is a bulletin board for tech-sector professionals, most of whom are white-collar migrants. The site reported 56 percent of the Americans polled said “they view H-1B visa holders as direct competitors for jobs.” Sixty percent of U.S. citizens said that “U.S. citizens and green card holders should be given hiring priority.” “I think the number is much higher,” responded Kevin Lynn, founder of U.S. Tech Workers, which lobbies against

Donald Trump’s future presidential library will be housed in downtown Miami at a location selected, in part, because of its proximity to the Freedom Tower, a landmark that played a significant role in helping Cuban refugees migrating to Florida. Trump’s team has for months been eyeing Florida, where the president is a resident, as the location for the library, which they also hope can be part of a larger development that will include an adjacent hotel. It would be the first presidential library to also be home to a hotel development.

I beg your pardon? Let's recap, shall we? Fourteen months ago, Donald Trump got shot and Corey Comperatore got killed by an assassin in Butler County, PA. A few weeks later, another assassin got captured on Trump's Florida golf course. Just this week, people have fired shots over political issues more than once, and oh by the way, the event yesterday memorialized someone who'd been assassinated for his politics. With all of that as background, plus the fact that both the President and Vice President would be participating in the event, the Washington Post cast a skeptical eye on the expense ahead of the event:
