Disney: Welcome back, Jimmy Kimmel!
Sinclair: Not so fast ...
The return of Jimmy Kimmel will not be a universal experience, it appears. Not long after Disney announced that they would restart his Jimmy Kimmel Live! tomorrow night, one of ABC's largest affiliate groups balked. Sinclair Broadcasting announced that they would run news programming in that slot instead: Can they do that? CBS brought on a media expert who claimed that pre-empting the show could cause a breach of contract for their network affiliation. Left unspoken, though, is who that would harm the most -- the network, or the affiliates?

President Trump signed an executive order Monday designating the shadowy, left-wing group Antifa a “domestic terrorist organization,” according to the White House.
The order comes after Trump teased slapping a terror label on the radical “anti-fascist” group last week.
“I hereby designate Antifa as a ‘domestic terrorist organization,’” read the president’s order. “All relevant executive departments and agencies shall utilize all applicable authorities to investigate, disrupt, and dismantle any and all illegal operations – especially those involving terrorist actions — conducted by Antifa or any person claiming to act on behalf of Antifa, or for which Antifa or any person claiming to act on behalf of Antifa provided material support,

Not surprisingly, Disney has announced that late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel will return to the airwaves Tuesday night after an "indefinite" suspension that only lasted a few days.
As we reported, Disney's statement noted that their original decision to suspend him was "made because we felt some of the comments [made about alleged Charlie Kirk assassin Tyler Robinson] were ill-timed and thus insensitive."
"We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday," they also wrote.

People celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk are worse than sick—they’re downright evil.
Has there always been this much evil? Or is it worse than it used to be? The answer is not only is it worse, it is much worse, because the philosophical basis of our country has been deteriorating for years.
The United States was created by men of the Enlightenment. The Enlightenment, also known as the Age of Reason, was an intellectual movement in the 17th and 18th centuries that used reason as the primary source of knowledge. In essence, the United States was based on reason, and it is reason that has been abandoned due to bad philosophical

As time continues to pass following the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk, the left is doing everything it can to obfuscate the motive of the killer. The reason for that is obvious. Tyler Robinson's ideology was not ambiguous. It was not a confusing hodgepodge of random conspiratorial positions. Why he pulled the trigger is not some grand mystery.
Robinson, who is now facing capital murder charges, is a left-winger with a furry fetish and a trans-identifying boyfriend. He thought Kirk was a "fascist" who spread "hate" and thus was irredeemable. It was a political killing carried out by a person who believed he had a license to shoot

Sinclair Broadcast Group abruptly cancelled plans to air a Charlie Kirk tribute last week after the company’s local ABC affiliates received multiple violent threats — forcing the firm to move the program to YouTube just minutes before it was scheduled to begin, The Post has learned.
The Baltimore-based local TV giant, which owns more than 40 ABC affiliates, yanked the Charlie Kirk tribute late Friday after it was alerted to “local threats directed at specific local ABC stations resulting from [the] ABC suspension” of late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, a source close to the situation told The Post.

The Supreme Court cleared the way for Donald Trump to fire the sole Democrat on the Federal Trade Commission, raising doubt about a long-standing precedent that has limited the president’s power over independent agencies.
In its ruling, the high court set the question of whether Trump could fire the commissioners for oral arguments in December, and whether a 1935 decision, Humphrey’s Executor vs. United States, should be overruled. The court also granted a stay that will allow Trump to dismiss the commissioner in the meantime.

For months, Democrats and their allies in the media have been clinging to the idea that Donald Trump’s underwater approval ratings would somehow guarantee them a triumphant showing in the upcoming midterms. But on Monday, CNN’s own numbers-cruncher threw cold water on that narrative, reminding viewers that Trump’s poll numbers don’t magically translate into Democratic victories.
CNN anchor Kate Bolduan asked Chief Data Analyst Harry Enten what the data really shows about where things stand politically.
And boy, Enten didn’t sugarcoat things at all for the Democrats.

Every time I write something about our current entanglement with Venezuela lately, something else explodes just after we publish it. Sometimes literally. On Friday, I gave a little update on, among other things, how many cartel boats out of the South American country that our military has blown up and then walked away from my computer for the day, only for President Donald Trump to announce via social media that we got another one. This time, we killed three narco-terrorists.

There are two epic battles going on in the wake of the assassination of Charlie Kirk. One is the battle to define Kirk. The other is the battle to define his killer. There are significant voices trying to portray Kirk as a hateful, divisive figure. At the same time, there are voices trying to portray Kirk’s alleged assassin, Tyler Robinson, as a confused, apolitical young man. In simplest terms, the point for both is to absolve Kirk’s political adversaries — Democrats, the Left, progressives, antifa, trans warriors, furries, whatever — of complicity in Kirk’s death. If Kirk was divisive and hateful,

There is a saying that exactly fits the reactions of the right and the left to Charlie Kirk's memorial service: one screen, but two movies.
Over 100 million people tuned in to see at least some portion of the memorial service, and many millions more will watch clips from various speeches or the commentary around the event. A hundred thousand people, more or less, were inside the building, and tens of thousands were at the site of the event and couldn't get a seat inside. Two planeloads of White House officials attended, including the President and Vice President, both of whom spoke. The vast majority of the content focused

Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show is returning to the air this week, Walt Disney Company said on Sept. 22.
“Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country,” the company said in a statement to news outlets. “It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive. We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday.”
A Disney spokeswoman did not immediately return a request for comment.

Jimmy Kimmel is getting back on the air. The ABC late-night host is returning to broadcast on Tuesday following a brief-but-monumental suspension that sparked a national debate over the Trump Administration’s pressure tactics and the modern limits and consequences of free speech. “Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country,” ABC parent The Walt Disney Company said in a statement Monday.

Indian government officials expressed full-blown outrage over a Trump administration proclamation that dramatically hikes the fee for securing H-1B visas.
President Donald Trump signed an executive order Friday, slapping a $100,000 fee on new H-1B visas, making it incredibly difficult for U.S.-based employers to favor foreign nationals over American workers. The Indian government, which benefits from the H-1B visa program more than any other country, quickly denounced the move and called for the Trump administration to address its concerns.

ABC This Week usually opens with some manner of editorial commentary from its rotating hosts. Today was not the exception. Jon Karl opened the broadcast by rightfully and poignantly condemning the brutal assassination of TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk. Charlie Kirk’s memorial service — and what a beautiful, sorrowful, unforgettable service it was — signaled the closing of one chapter and the beginning of a new one. Because, for a solid decade, Charlie’s journey and the Make America Great Again movement were indistinguishable; Charlie’s mission was MAGA’s mission — his path was MAGA’s path.
Then, on the fateful day of Sept. 10, Charlie earned a new path.
And today, he’s walking hand-in-hand with Jesus Christ; his horrible wounds cleansed, healed, and purified. Charlie’s earthly mission is now complete; his eternal rewards await.

At least, that was until last Sunday. Now that posting has been removed.
Before setting sail earlier this month, Thunberg said: “This project is part of a global uprising of people standing up…

I'm fond of saying that we solve today's problems with tomorrow's technology. Now, we have a brilliant example of just that, and better still, this piece of tomorrow's technology that is under development today is not only a great discovery, it's a thumb in the eye of one of America's major geopolitical rivals - China.
That's an unalloyed good thing.

Roughly a month ago, The New York Times dropped a damning story about the current state of the Democrat Party. The main takeaway of the extensive report was that America’s leftist political entity is facing a massive voter registration crisis.
Buried within the article, however, was a tacit admission that, “For years, the left has relied on a sprawling network of nonprofits — which solicit donations from people whose identities they need not disclose — to register Black, Latino and younger voters.” Although these groups claim to be “nonpartisan,” the outlet noted, “the underlying assumption has been that most new voters registering would vote Democratic.”

President Trump wrapped up his speech at Charlie Kirk’s memorial by embracing Kirk’s widow Erika.
It was a moment of paternal tenderness after Trump vacillated between extolling Kirk as a “martyr for American freedom” and not so subtly suggesting he and his administration would avenge the murder.
In his 42 minutes of wide-ranging remarks, the president described Kirk, who mobilized the youth vote and is credited with helping deliver the electoral victory for Trump, as a “giver much more than a taker” and “master builder of people.”

It’s been amusing to watch the left’s reaction to ABC giving the boot to Jimmy Kimmel.
Not because of their rank hypocrisy when it comes to censorship. Or their claim that firing a low-rated late-night “comic” means “authoritarianism has arrived.” Or the fact that they are far more outraged that Kimmel lost his time slot than that Charlie Kirk lost his life over things they said.
What’s most amusing is how blissfully ignorant they are about how the news and entertainment industry works these days.
First, let’s dispense with the censorship ruse. ABC is a private company and is entitled

It’s always problematic when a relativist claims to be the sole source of truth. ChatGPT defines relativism as: “Relativism is a philosophical stance suggesting that truths, values, or knowledge are not absolute but are instead relative to a specific cultural framework, historical context, or individual perspective.” Trust me, no one makes it clearer that his “truth” is based on a particular, secular, cultural framework, distorted historical context, and above all a twisted individual perspective on life than the current cultural pontificator, Barack Obama.

Beautiful, gracious, courageous, and good Erika Kirk gave the most powerful, bravest speech we will ever witness at the memorial service to her husband in a packed stadium in Glendale, Ariz.
We see clearly why Charlie Kirk chose her to be his wife.
“My husband Charlie, he wanted to save young men just like the one who took his life.
“On the Cross, our Savior said: ‘Father forgive them for they not know what they do.’ ”
Looking up at a giant image of her husband overhead, through sobs, and swallowed anger, Erika Kirk said: “That young man, I forgive him.”

Gov. Kathy Hochul deserves kudos for putting the brakes on New York’s decades-long experiment with deinstitutionalization of the mentally ill: She is adding beds to the state’s psychiatric hospitals.
Bravo for acknowledging reality, Governor.
Community-based treatment, supportive housing and mental health homeless shelter policies have had 70 years to prove they can work.
But the city’s streets, subways and jails remain filled with seriously sick people who desperately need real treatment.
A new report from the Manhattan Institute reveals that closing the big mental hospitals in the 1950s and ’60s and steadily eliminating psychiatric hospital beds in the following decades led to “transinstitutionalization” —

France and Saudi Arabia hope to use this year’s gathering of world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly and the increasingly horrific war in the Gaza Strip to inject new urgency into the quest for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Those efforts include a new road map for eventual Palestinian statehood in territories Israel seized in the 1967 Mideast war, and moves by several Western countries to join a global majority in recognizing such a state before it has been established.

Israel's airstrike in Doha was directed against Hamas leaders, not Qatar. There is no reason why the leaders of a terrorist organization, responsible for murdering thousands of Israelis and Palestinians, should feel safe anywhere.
The war could have ended long ago had Hamas agreed to release the hostages, whom it should not have seized in the first place, lay down its weapons, and relinquish control over the Gaza Strip.
Such a celebration could not have taken place without the approval of Qatar's rulers. Qatar's media especially Al-Jazeera, to this day, have been enthusiastically praising Hamas's attacks, as well.

Before last Friday’s House vote on a symbolic resolution condemning the assassination of Charlie Kirk and all forms of political violence while honoring his life, the purported leaders of the Democratic Caucus informed its members that they would support the measure. Yet, in a truly vile floor speech prior to the vote, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y) called the resolution “reckless” and claimed Kirk’s “rhetoric and beliefs were ignorant, uneducated, and sought to disenfranchise millions of Americans.” In the end, less than half of the Democrats voted for the resolution. The rest stood with AOC.
