Not surprisingly, Disney has announced that late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel will return to the airwaves Tuesday night after an "indefinite" suspension that only lasted a few days.
As we reported, Disney's statement noted that their original decision to suspend him was "made because we felt some of the comments [made about alleged Charlie Kirk assassin Tyler Robinson] were ill-timed and thus insensitive."
"We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday," they also wrote.

People celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk are worse than sick—they’re downright evil.
Has there always been this much evil? Or is it worse than it used to be? The answer is not only is it worse, it is much worse, because the philosophical basis of our country has been deteriorating for years.
The United States was created by men of the Enlightenment. The Enlightenment, also known as the Age of Reason, was an intellectual movement in the 17th and 18th centuries that used reason as the primary source of knowledge. In essence, the United States was based on reason, and it is reason that has been abandoned due to bad philosophical

Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show is returning to the air this week, Walt Disney Company said on Sept. 22.
“Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country,” the company said in a statement to news outlets. “It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive. We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday.”
A Disney spokeswoman did not immediately return a request for comment.

It’s always problematic when a relativist claims to be the sole source of truth. ChatGPT defines relativism as: “Relativism is a philosophical stance suggesting that truths, values, or knowledge are not absolute but are instead relative to a specific cultural framework, historical context, or individual perspective.” Trust me, no one makes it clearer that his “truth” is based on a particular, secular, cultural framework, distorted historical context, and above all a twisted individual perspective on life than the current cultural pontificator, Barack Obama.
After Charlie Kirk’s brutal assassination, Barry hung up his paddleboard to post this on X:

Through clever innuendo and seemingly noncommittal suggestion, Barack Obama has spent two decades subtly dividing America socially, racially, and politically.
Obama is known for making his points with surgical precision. No one can deny that, armed with a sharpened teleprompter, an emotionally detached Barack Obama appears as a methodical, unemotional speaker skilled at disguising deep-seated hostility as civility.
The former president’s detached eloquence bears resemblance to that of the fictional character, serial killer and cannibal Hannibal Lecter.
Hannibal had a complex psyche that could be hidden behind a refined manner of expressing rage, with his wrath concealed behind a façade of feigned grace and collegiality; that is precisely what Barack Obama does.

A number of show business, news media, and political personages have proclaimed vile comments, cheering the murder of Christian conservative Charlie Kirk.
So, too, have entertainment-industry has-beens who grab for modern relevance. None will be named by this writer, who doesn’t wish to aid miserable lost souls’ quests.
I believe there are at least two reasons some celebrities acquit themselves so despicably.
First, unfortunately, a hatred market exists. Just as there are garbage-hearted people with wallets, there breathe conscienceless graspers with big eyes. Whether someone is selling a candidacy, a movie ticket, a TV program, a recording, or any other commodity, market cultivation is surely a consideration.

On the internet the big story seems to be the indefinite suspension of Jimmy Kimmel by ABC. I confess to being somewhat at a disadvantage. The last time I looked at network television my set had four dials: on/off, vertical, and horizontal, volume, and channel. In this I’m not alone. Kimmel’s show had fewer viewers than a number of online podcasters, sponsors were fleeing, and local stations represented by affiliates Nexstar and Sinclair wanted out. The great Iowahawk nailed the flight from network television:
“Anyway, I see people debating who should replace Kimmel in the coveted late night talk chair, and it's like debating who should move into the empty

California Governor Gavin Newsom sparked an uproar on Saturday after his team posted a cryptic message to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
As TGP readers know, Newsom has made himself the leader of the resistance against the Trump Administration, particularly on the issue of illegal immigration. This feud has been heightened ever since Trump sent ICE agents to LA to round up illegals earlier this year.
Perhaps with this in mind, Newsom’s press team posted a tweet that many read as a threat on Noem’s life. It was certainly vague enough to be interpreted that way.
The post reads, “Kristi Noem is going to have a bad day today.

We're more than a week out from the assassination of Charlie Kirk and all but the most die hard online leftists have come around to the fact that his shooter was on the left and seems to have been motivated by left-wing political concerns. Frankly, it's not clear if the truth has penetrated to the party's base. As of last weekend, many of them were still convinced the shooter was right-wing. Given the partisan bubble they live in, many of them may still believe that even now.
To say that reality isn't going down well on the left is putting it mildly. It has been a tough 10 days

The pieces of this puzzle are starting to come together, and what emerges is a picture that makes perfect sense when viewed through the lens of raw self-interest. Hunter Biden, a man who has spent decades leveraging his father's position for personal gain, may have personally engineered his own presidential pardon.
Why do I think this may have been the case? Well, Biden’s former chief of staff, Jeff Zients, revealed during his House Oversight Committee testimony this week that Hunter Biden wasn't just sitting on the sidelines during those crucial final weeks of his father's presidency—he was actively participating in pardon discussions, attending multiple meetings with White House aides.

The city of Chicago has a crime problem. Everyone knows it, including Chicago's mayor, Brandon Johnson, and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker.
Pritzker himself said crime is just a part of big city life, just after a bloody Labor Day weekend where 54 people were shot and seven were killed. Mayor Johnson took a more theological approach, saying jailing criminals is "racist, unholy and doesn’t lower violent crime rates."
That was on August 25, a week before all the mayhem in Chicago. We're now halfway through September, and Mayor Johnson continues to object to putting criminals in prison. (X) As one X user said, "Imagine saying that to the families

The new liberal website, The Argument, conducted an interesting poll of Trump 2024 supporters, Harris 2024 supporters, and those who didn't vote.
One question was about free speech on campus.
"For each of the following, do you believe they should be allowed to give a speech at a college campus?"
Nearly 50% of Trump voters would oppose a transgender rights activist speaking on campus. 86% of Harris voters would support it.
Nearly 55% of Harris voters would oppose Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu giving a talk. 63% of Trump voters would support it.
Over 67% of Trump voters would oppose a Palestinian activist who calls for the abolition of Israel. 53% of Harris voters
