Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts has handed a temporary victory to President Donald Trump by keeping in place the Trump administration’s freeze on foreign aid for the time being. The decision puts nearly $5 billion in funding on hold. Trump told House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) in a letter at the end of last month that he wouldn’t spend $4.9 billion in foreign aid that Congress approved. It’s what we call a “pocket rescission,” in which the president requests that Congress not spend certain approved funds. “This case raises questions of immense legal and practical importance,

It's money we don't have to give away. People in debt do not hand out money for no reason, they do not donate to worthy causes when their own cause cannot be met. And which of these causes is actually worthy? What country ever donated to aid us.?

Staying a ridiculous ruling until a higher court can rule on it is the least the Supreme Court could do. This is good but it's not a big victory.

Sudan's brutal civil war... is not just a clash between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and their former military allies turned rivals, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). It is a calculated power grab by the Muslim Brotherhood, which appears to be using the SAF as a Trojan horse to dominate northeast Africa and the Red Sea, a critical artery for global commerce. The Muslim Brotherhood, sponsored by Qatar, appears to be hijacking the SAF to stage a takeover, recycling old alliances under new guises. Despite recent concessions to the United States and Egypt,

Charlotte, NC Mayor Vi Lyles says she’s disappointed that the video of the shocking murder of Iryna Zarutska “is now public” and thanked media outlets for not “sharing” the brutal footage. Appalling: While Lyles now pretends the blackout was to show “respect for Iryna’s family,” her statement two weeks back to a local news reporter makes it plain her concern was for the vagrant arrested for the deadly stabbing. Bull: Lyles wanted the video out of sight not because she cares for how the family feels, but because it exposes the corruption and menace that lurks right under the surface in our crime-ridden cities.

The deranged homeless man charged with butchering a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee on a Charlotte train was free on cashless bail after a magistrate released him with just a “written promise” to show up for court — despite a nearly two-decade history of violence and mental illness. Decarlos Brown Jr., 34, was arrested at least 14 times in North Carolina for crimes ranging from assault and firearms possession to felony robbery and larceny dating back to 2007. His own mother told local TV station WSOC that her son was schizophrenic and should never have been allowed to roam the streets.

When Donald Trump touches down in London next week, he will be greeted by the best of Britain. Dinner with the king, a golden carriage and all the impossible pomp that the royal family make look so effortless. Sliwa, during a wide-ranging interview with The Post, attributed his current frosty relations with the nation’s top Republican to zingers he made on TV or during his long stint as a radio talk show host on WABC-AM and other outlets. “Every week for 13 years I was on NY1 and would do political satire,” he said. “We talked Cuomo,

France’s government was toppled in a vote of no confidence on Monday, forcing President Emmanuel Macron to search for his fourth prime minister in 12 months — and throwing the EU’s second largest economy into chaos. Premier François Bayrou was ousted overwhelmingly in a 364-194 vote against him, losing an apparent gamble that lawmakers would back his push for France to slash public spending to repay its debts. The 74-year-old centrist was instead voted out, ending his short-lived minority government after being appointed by Macron in December. France, which has the European Union’s most powerful military and only nuclear arsenal,

There are some really serious acts of gender-based violence being committed against women in Great Britain today. Take the horrendous case of Paloma Faith, who appears to be both some kind of singer, and some kind of self-appointed campaigner for women’s rights. In her tell-all memoir, released last year, Paloma revealed an appalling example of abuse at the hands of a fellow celebrity judging panellist on TV caterwauling contest The Voice UK, who violently raped her, live on television, before an applauding audience of millions and millions of evil sexist white men.

The left weighs in on anything that Trump is against, which drives it to lionize criminals like Abrego Garcia, champion open borders, and oppose increased oil and natural gas production. And they are against anything Trump is for. So often, they did not care much about big-city crime rates, supported biological men’s usurpation of women’s sports, and opposed taking out the Iranian nuclear threat. However, recently, some former and, no doubt, current Trump opponents now seem to support both what Trump is for and what he is against—at least in a few areas. So this past week, Donald Trump hosted some of the richest,

Undersea cable cuts in the Red Sea disrupted internet access in parts of Asia and the Middle East, experts said Sunday, though it wasn’t immediately clear what caused the incident. There has been concern about the cables being targeted in a Red Sea campaign by Yemen’s Houthi rebels, which the rebels describe as an effort to pressure Israel to end its war on Hamas in the Gaza Strip. But the Houthis have denied attacking the lines in the past. Undersea cables are one of the backbones of the internet, along with satellite connections and land-based cables. Typically, internet service providers have multiple access points and reroute traffic if one fails,

His assassination not only devastated many members of Congress who knew the activist personally, but unleashed sadness, confusion and anger among lawmakers in the Capitol on both sides of the political spectrum.

During MSNBC’s coverage of Kirk’s shooting, anchor Katy Tur asked Dowd about “the environment in which a shooting like this happens.” Dowd responded with the following about Kirk: “He’s been one of the most divisive, especially divisive younger figures in this, who is constantly sort of pushing this sort of hate speech or sort of aimed at certain groups. And I always go back to, hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions. And I think

It calls for mandating more detailed disclosures of side effects. This initiative, spearheaded by HHS Secretary Robert F. But, political strategists and officials from both parties told NBC News, that’s not the path Trump appears to be taking. Trump has been both a target of assassination attempts and a fount of vitriolic rhetoric. He knows firsthand the passions that drive American voters and, were he to renounce partisan attacks and call on others in both parties to do the same, that gesture could potentially send a healing message.

Asked if Kirk was in the hospital, President Trump told The Post somberly, “He’s not doing well…yes, it looks very bad,” adding that he was feeling “not good” about the shooting.
