A federal judge on Tuesday granted a temporary restraining order blocking President Donald Trump’s firing of Federal Reserve governor Lisa Cook for now.
The ruling means Cook will remain on the board of the central bank until her case is heard at length. She is allowed to continue carrying out her work during that time.
In granting the order, U.S. District Judge Jia Cobb said that "the Court will enter an injunction directing [Fed Chair Jerome] Powell and the Board of Governors to allow Cook to continue to operate as a member of the Board for the pendency of this litigation."

EXCLUSIVE: A top aide and confidante to former Obama official Lois Lerner who targeted conservatives and conservative groups received a notice of proposed removal from the Internal Revenue Service, Fox News Digital has learned. A notice of proposed removal, also known as a "pink slip," is a formal letter from a federal agency informing a federal employee that the agency intends to terminate their employment. As is standard in the process, the official, Holly Paz, has 30 days to respond. She remains employed by the IRS and is on administrative leave pending a final decision regarding her employment status.

Poland placed its air defenses at the highest stage of alert early Wednesday after up to 10 Russian attack drones entered Polish airspace. We hear a lot of vague accusations these days of misdeeds in presidential elections. Voter fraud this, voter fraud that. The U.S. Supreme Court agreed on Tuesday to decide the legality of Donald Trump's sweeping global tariffs, setting up a major test of one of the Republican president's boldest assertions of executive power that has been central to his economic and trade agenda.
The justices took up the Justice Department's appeal of a lower court's ruling that Trump overstepped his authority in imposing most of his tariffs under a federal law meant for emergencies. The court swiftly acted after the administration last week asked it to review the case, which implicates trillions of dollars in customs duties over the next decade.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday temporarily allowed the Trump administration to hold on to billions in foreign aid funds that it wants to cancel, setting up a high-stakes battle over the president’s power to unilaterally cancel funds mandated by Congress.
The one-page order, signed by Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., paused the part of a lower court ruling that required the government to pay some $4 billion of the $4.9 billion rescissions request that the Trump administration sent to Congress last month.
The Supreme Court order also asked the initial challengers to the funding freeze to respond by this Friday.

Common sense is apparently on an extended vacation. Men and boys, under the banner of "trans inclusion," have waltzed into women’s private spaces and sports, leaving chaos and concussions in their wake. This is dangerous absurdity and, while some battles are being waged, the war on women and girls is getting uglier.
One recent story covers volleyball, where three brave women from Santa Rosa Junior College filed a Title IX complaint to boot a transgender, male-born player from their team. Why? Because this “trans-female,” Ximena Gomez, allegedly smashed a volleyball into a female opponent’s face, sending her crumbling with a concussion. These women are not alone.

In Brussels on 2 September, in front of an audience of 600 people, former French President Nicolas Sarkozy chose to be frank, humorously stating a few truths. What exactly did the former president say?
1. French Prime Minister François Bayrou is finished
Sarkozy gives Bayrou exactly zero chance of staying on at ‘Matignon’. He considers Bayrou to be a fake smart aleck, unreliable and talentless. His amused contempt made the audience smile: ‘Give me the brushes, the tubes of paint, the Bruegel canvases, and I’ll paint you a Sarkozy. Give my speeches to Bayrou… He’ll do a Bayrou (laughter).’

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has become the rare figure who draws as much raw hostility from Democrats as Donald Trump ever has. That fact alone is remarkable.
Democrats once celebrated Kennedy as the scion of a legendary political dynasty. They now treat him as a menace to society. His break from the blue ranks last year, and the populist movement he has built, mirrors Trump’s earlier rebellion against establishment Republicans. That similarity explains why both men are uniquely loathed by Democratic insiders.
The fury stems not just from Kennedy’s decision to leave the Democrat party, but from how he left.

Appalling: While Lyles now pretends the blackout was to show “respect for Iryna’s family,” her statement two weeks back to a local news reporter makes it plain her concern was for the vagrant arrested for the deadly stabbing.
Bull: Lyles wanted the video out of sight not because she cares for how the family feels, but because it exposes the corruption and menace that lurks right under the surface in our crime-ridden cities.

The U.S. Supreme Court will soon decide whether or not President Trump’s tariffs will stand. On September 3, Trump’s Solicitor General asked the court to expedite its review of the case “to the maximum extent feasible” because the case’s presence on its docket was interfering with international negotiations.

The key issue will be whether Trump’s tariffs qualify under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). Navarro argued that Trump has been using tariffs to address not just one, but three different emergencies:

The War of the Murdochs appears to have come to an end.
The media sector’s prominent Murdoch family settled a long-running dispute Monday that will leave Lachlan Murdoch in control of voting shares that govern both News Corp. and Fox Corp. while selling off stakes in the company attached to founder Rupert Murdoch’s other children who had challenged their father’s ability to restructure his heirs’ oversight of both corporations. Fox Corp. and News Corp. both said Monday that the family had terminated all litigation tied to the elder Murdoch’s efforts to assign control of the family’s shares to Lachlan, who currently oversees both corporations.
