The Trump administration on Wednesday announced plans to retake control of Washington, D.C.’s Union Station — its latest measure geared at combating crime in the district.
“Instead of being a point of pride, Washington’s Union Station has fallen into disrepair,” Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said in a statement. “By reclaiming station management, we will help make this city safe and beautiful.”
While the Department of Transportation has owned the historic station since the 1980s, it has allowed a nonprofit, the Union Station Redevelopment Corporation, more control over the station year after year.

Britain's Royal Air Force scrambled spy planes as it joined NATO in a huge hunt for a Russian submarine suspected of threatening a US aircraft carrier off Norway.
In what defence sources are calling a 'highly unusual surge' of activity, NATO allies have deployed at least 27 specialist submarine-hunting sorties since Sunday in an urgent bid to track the vessel.
The operation, which insiders insist is not a drill, comes as the USS Gerald R. Ford - the most advanced and expensive aircraft carrier in the world, worth around £11 billion, carries out exercises with the Norwegian Navy in Arctic waters.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., on Tuesday confirmed to President Donald Trump that his department is still on track to publish information identifying "interventions" that are contributing to a rise in autism. Kennedy first announced a joint research effort to find the root causes of autism in April as part of the Trump administration's "Make America Healthy Again" mission. One-in-36 children have autism spectrum disorder, according to a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report in 2020.

President Donald Trump called for leftist billionaire and mega-donor George Soros and his son, Alex Soros, to be prosecuted under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act due to their financial support of violent protesters in the United States. In a post on Truth Social, Trump accused Soros and “his group of psychopaths” of causing “great damage” to the United States. Trump added that his administration would not “allow these lunatics to rip apart America” any longer.

A few days ago, Vice President J.D. Vance in an interview was asked why the Democrats are getting behind criminals and blocking prosecutions and police protection. He responded (to be kind) that the politicians have lost touch with their constituents. But although this might be true of some, he did not get to the real reason. When Barack Obama was elected president, he indicated that he wanted to fundamentally change America. To that end, he fundamentally changed our health care system, in which many now acknowledge a lack of personal care, as our doctors have become employees of hospitals and large medical groups.

St. Lucie County, Fl. - New Mexico State Police today released body cam video showing HarjinderSingh speaking limited English with a state trooper who pulled him over for speeding in July.
After days of speculation over how much English Singh understands, the fact that Singh was speaking English, however limited, represents a major development in the case.
Singh remains in the St. Lucie County Jail without bond after investigators say he made an illegal U-turn in his semi-truck on Florida's Turnpike on Aug. 12, resulting in a crash that killed three people in a minivan. Singh used a translator in his court appearance.

The $250 million ‘Feeding Our Future’ free food fraud in which Somali groups stole a quarter of a billion dollars while claiming to feed hundreds of thousands of children who never existed seemed like the biggest case of welfare fraud in Minnesota, but it may be just the beginning.
Somali autism fraud, partly linked to the ‘Feeding Our Future’ scam, may be even bigger and after the FBI raids of autism clinics last December, the scale of it is still being put together.

We need to mark this one freeze frame, this digital data point in time, as that moment leftist lunacy was fully exposed in its utter moral collapse.
We think we've seen it before in the election losses, the USAID money laundering scandal, the cheating vote counters, the Beria school of malpractice at the Justice Department, and cheering for criminals. However, this moment, this snapshot, says it all.Like a controlled demolition of an old relic of a building, the scene in a Mexican restaurant captured on video showed a piece-by-piece, trope-by-trope implosion of the leftist superstructure built on the foundation of bigotry, lunacy, and hearsay.

The deranged gunman who slaughtered two children and injured at least 17 others who were attending morning mass at a Catholic school in Minneapolis has been identified — as a disturbing video believed to have been posted by the shooter shows “kill Donald Trump” and “for the children” scrawled on gun magazines.
Robin Westman, who is in his early 20s, opened fire through the stained glass windows of Annunciation Catholic Church during a celebratory back-to-school Mass filled with children, around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Police are investigating whether a series of sick YouTube videos shared on an account hours before the shooting was connected to Westman, law enforcement sources told The Post.

One reason that many Republican voters took a shine to Donald Trump in 2016 was the way he showed no respect to the national chattering classes of the Democrat-media complex. George W. Bush was a kinder, gentler Republican -- and they compared him to Hitler. No matter which flavor of Republican was elected, the "objective" media savaged him.
We've reached the 20th anniversary of deadly Hurricane Katrina in the Gulf of Mexico, which killed an estimated 1,836 Americans. But misinformation landed first. NBC and MSNBC tremendously hyped Democrat Mayor Ray Nagin's "Today" show estimate of 10,000 dead in New Orleans.

Chicago’s mayor spent the weekend thundering about “democracy,” “fascism,” and the Constitution. Then he showed up on MSNBC and—under the hottest spotlight of his tenure—stumbled over the simplest question in public safety: would more cops on the street make Chicago safer? Joe Scarborough asked it five times. Brandon Johnson couldn’t say yes. He filibustered about housing, mental health, and youth jobs until he was forced to mutter that the police must be “fully supported.” Translation: with Trump threatening federal muscle, even the most progressive mayor knows he can’t keep sneering at cops.

Trump has well and truly broken the Democrat party.
How do we know the Democrat party is broken?
Because Trump has them defending the indefensible, all manner of criminals – rapists, child molesters, murderers as well as robbers, wife-beaters, shoplifters, vicious gang members who travel in packs in cities like D.C., Chicago, New York City and Los Angeles -- creating chaos and carnage; not to mention the millions of illegal aliens who have flooded so many cities and changed the culture of those communities.
The Democrats love them all.
If they’re illegal, they want them to stay, criminal or not. We all know that is because they need their votes

In July, inflation came in lower than expected, which “defied fears of further price increases as a result of President Donald Trump’s tariffs.” That’s been happening a lot lately.
So, what’s a Trump–hating news media to do? Admit their fear-mongering was wrong? Or, invent a new term to make even good news sound ominous?
Over the weekend, CNN Business ran a story headlined: “‘Sneakflation’: How Trump’s tariffs are gradually raising costs for American consumers.”
The article admits that “inflation has remained relatively tame” this year. “To this point, consumers have been mostly shielded from starkly higher prices.”

Her comments come as Trump’s federal crime crackdown continues to show results. As of this month, violent crime in the nation's capital has dropped significantly following Trump’s deployment of federal resources and direct coordination with law enforcement. Repeat offenders are being prosecuted, gang activity is being dismantled, and high-crime areas are seeing a return to order.

Trump revealed the plans to pursue the death penalty in D.C. homicide cases during the White House Cabinet Meeting on Tuesday. If somebody kills somebody in the capital, Washington, DC, we’re going to be seeking the death penalty. And that’s a very strong preventative, and everybody that’s heard it agrees with it,” he said. “I don’t know if we’re ready for it in this country, but we… have no choice.”

The biggest, boldest lie of every welfare state is that the goods and services it is providing to its citizens are "free." Those of us with brain cells and an aversion to lying know that this is not only untrue, but also impossible. Politicians are fond of throwing taxpayer dollars around like drunk Kennedy cousins on summer break in Monte Carlo in order to make voters love them. Despite being full-throated advocates for "sustainability" when it comes to almost anything else, socialist welfare state types are committed to an economic system that simply cannot go on forever. Arguably, the institution’s interpretation of this ugly period in our history is delivered from a left wing perspective. The exhibits, by failing to tell the whole story about slavery, paint the picture of a sin that, but for the existence of whites, would never have thrived; such a tale makes for revisionist history.

This is California under Democrat control: big promises, bloated budgets, and nothing to show for it.

When Democrats do something wrong, the story is always that Republicans are "seizing" or "pouncing," as if the criticism is unfair or simply a political ploy to take power away from our rightful rulers.
It's just a fact of life. Pravda exists to harm Republicans and put Democrats in power, so they have to distract from the fact that Democrats are ruining things.
I wrote a few days ago about how the Democratic establishment--not Democrat politicians or activists, but the people whose job it is to win elections--see Trump's moves on fighting crime as a "trap."
