A man believed to have been a part of a Romanian criminal organization was sentenced to 10 years in prison last week after he stole tens of thousands of welfare cards across California and New York. Catalin-Marius Graur, 43, was sentenced after pleading guilty to one count of bank fraud. When he was arrested at a New York City Airbnb in 2024, he had over $37,000 in cash and nearly 1,500 stolen account access numbers in his possession, according to the DOJ. Graur would steal EBT card information by attaching “sophisticated skimming devices” to ATMs and other sales machines. Once the victim entered their card, the device captured their information

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) on Monday said former President Clinton’s alleged ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein should be uncovered during his testimony before members of Congress.
“Everybody in America wants to know what went on in Epstein Island, and we’ve all heard reports that Bill Clinton was a frequent visitor there, so he’s a prime suspect to be deposed by the House Oversight Committee,” Comer said Monday during an interview on Newsmax.
“So, hopefully we’ll win that court battle with that subpoena and see President Clinton in October,” he added.

The FBI concluded numerous legacy news media stories that crafted the false Russia collusion narrative contained illegally leaked classified intelligence but failed to definitively identify the leakers. But agents did force a stunning admission that ex-FBI Director James Comey used a special conduit to the Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times in his bid to polish his image and push for a special prosecutor to take down President Donald Trump.
Columbia University law professor Daniel Richman admitted to agents in interviews he routinely communicated on behalf of Comey, his longtime friend, with Times reporter Michael Schmidt, whose work was among the newspaper's 2018 Pulitzer-winning stories on Russian election interference.

Attorney General Ken Paxton has asked a Texas district court judge to jail former Rep. Beto O’Rourke over his fundraising pitches connected to the state’s intensifying redistricting battle.
Paxton’s request accused the Texas Democrat of violating a court order that the judge, Tarrant County’s Megan Fahey, issued last week that barred fundraising by O’Rourke and his nonprofit Powered by People intended to bankroll the efforts by Texas Democratic lawmakers to derail the redistricting effort.

As predicted, the Texas Democrat legislators who fled to blue states to deny a quorum for redistricting have folded. Still, I'm not sure anyone expected them to fold this soon.
According to ABC News, the runaways who claimed to be saving "democracy" are heading back to their home state early, claiming to have accomplished their goal of raising "awareness" about gerrymandering. That's a very polite way of saying they failed miserably. ABC13 has confirmed with multiple sources that House Democrats will return to Texas.
Eyewitness News has not confirmed the date, but we do know that Democrats believe they've accomplished their mission by killing

On Thursday, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced a $50 million reward for any information leading to the arrest of Socialist Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro.
“Maduro uses foreign terrorist organizations like [Tren de Aragua], Sinaloa and Cartel of the Suns to bring deadly drugs and violence into our country,” Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a video posted on X. (X) According to Bondi, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has already seized over 30 tons of cocaine connected to Maduro and his network — including nearly seven tons directly tied to Maduro himself. This illicit trade, she said, serves as a critical revenue stream for powerful and deadly cartels

Can you imagine what a victory it would be for all Americans if, merely through his successful leadership, President Trump were able to get the basement-rated Jimmy Kimmel to self-deport?
We already have a partial victory based solely on the fact that the Late Night elitist is putting the pieces in place to make it happen.
Former comedian Jimmy Kimmel was a guest on former comedienne Sarah Silverman’s podcast on Friday, and the two of them discussed fleeing the country due to Trump.
“A lot of people I know are thinking about where are they going to get citizenship?” Silverman said.
Kimmel then broke this glorious news: “I did get Italian citizenship.”

The Texas Senate approved new congressional lines on Tuesday in a rare mid-decade redistricting effort that could aid Republicans in their effort to keep control of the U.S. House of Representatives after the 2026 election. The vote was 19-2, with nine Democrats absent after exiting the Senate floor moments after the maps were taken up, a show of protest against what they framed as a "corrupt process." "This mid-decade redistricting isn’t about fair representation—it’s about politicians picking their voters instead of voters choosing their leaders," the Senate Democratic Caucus said in a statement. "And it doesn’t stop here. If they can gerrymander now, they can

Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been inundated with applications in the two weeks since it launched a major recruitment campaign. The Department of Homeland Security announced Tuesday morning that ICE has received 100,000 applications in less than 15 days from “patriotic Americans who want to help remove murderers, gang members, pedophiles, and terrorists” from the United States. In order to attract more recruits, ICE lifted age restrictions on hiring. Previously, applicants were limited to a minimum age of 21 and could be no older than 40. New hires will be eligible for a one-time bonus of up to $50,000, up to $60,000 in student loan repayment, and other incentives

CNN host Abby Phillip compared President Donald Trump to Batman on Monday night while criticizing his efforts to clean up crime in Washington, D.C. However, social media users thought the comparison made Trump look "cool." During the intro to CNN's "NewsNight," Phillip mocked Trump as the "crime-fighter-in-chief" of the nation's capital and compared him to the comic book character after the president's announcement earlier in the day that the federal government would be cleaning up crime in the city.

The state of Oklahoma is undertaking a first-in-the-nation initiative emptying jails and prisons of criminal illegal immigrants by sending them directly to federal immigration authorities at the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Over the past nine months, the state has developed a plan for turning over more than 500 locked-up criminals to ICE for deportation. It sounds like a simple task, but Gov. Kevin Stitt (R-OK) has said he wants to cut through the red tape — and in some cases, sentences — to save taxpayers money and get what President Donald Trump’s administration has referred to as the “worst of the worst” out of the state and country.

Beijing is quietly discouraging Chinese firms, particularly those tied to state and/or national security interests, from using Nvidia's H20 AI chips, even after the Trump administration reversed a U.S. sales ban in exchange for 15% of related revenue. The move follows Beijing's concerns over a potential "backdoor" in the H20, an allegation Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has rejected.
The report comes from the Financial Times, which states that regulators at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) instructed tech companies, such as Alibaba and ByteDance, to explain why they need H20 chips instead of sourcing domestic alternatives.

Is Moms for Liberty a "hate group" on the order of the KKK?
The Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee thinks so. Not even the infamously anti-sanity NGO, the Southern Poverty Law Center, which never saw a conservative-leaning group it didn't despise, has gone so far as to label Moms for Liberty a hate group, although they do call them "extremist." When even the SPLC can't conjure up enough evidence to indict you as a hate group, your worst crime is loving puppies and kittens.

It's pretty generally acknowledged at this point that President Trump won the 2024 election with help from a lot of working-class voters who'd previously cast votes for Joe Biden. The Democratic theory about how they could return to power was that Democrats would drive Trump's numbers down with constant criticism and soon enough those voters would see the error of their ways and return to the Democrats. In short, Democrats were counting on a backlash to save them.
But so far it's not happening. Trump's numbers have gone down but Democrats numbers haven't really gone up. The voters who left the party don't see a good reason to go back.

As a part of the White House press pool, I crammed into a frigid van on Saturday morning, toward the back of President Trump’s motorcade en route to his Virginia golf course. We passed a grimy tent encampment on our way out of the city, and I wondered to myself whether Trump was peering out the window. My question seemed to be answered the following day. On Truth Social, the president posted pictures likely taken from the motorcade that morning or the next, as he returned for another round of golf. Alongside images of roadside tents and trash, Trump wrote, “We’re having a News Conference tomorrow in the White House.

Inflation increased in July and moved further away from the Federal Reserve's target rate as central bank policymakers assess the health of the economy amid the president's calls for interest rate cuts.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics on Tuesday said that the consumer price index (CPI) – a broad measure of how much everyday goods like gasoline, groceries and rent cost – rose 0.2% in July compared with last month, while it was up 2.7% from a year ago.
The monthly figure was in line with the estimate of economists polled by LSEG, while headline was slightly cooler than the 2.8% expected.

An unidentified man was shot and killed Monday, several blocks from protesters rallying against President Donald Trump and his decision to deploy the National Guard in Washington, D.C., in order to combat crime.
Trump’s announcement on Monday during a press briefing comes after a series of high-profile attacks in the city this year. The Metropolitan Police Department told the Daily Caller News Foundation that officers responded around 7:01 p.m. to the 1200 block of 12th Street NW, where they found an unconscious adult male with multiple gunshot wounds.
After lifesaving efforts by D.C. Fire and EMS, the man was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The rise of courtroom media has provided the public with hundreds of glimpses into that supremely tragic moment when a felon, sometimes just a teenager, learns he is sentenced to life imprisonment. Then, despite their efforts at bravado, there is no hiding the shock and disbelief. His life is over. The possibility that he blotted from his consciousness has actually become unbearably real.
What happens next, when the convict is borne away to his cell to ponder what Anglo-Irish writer Edward Plunkett called the thoughts of the newly dead? Thanks to criminology, we know that many replay in their minds the moment of their downfall, often obsessively, especially in the

President Donald Trump called Mamdani a "communist lunatic" back in June, and he isn't wrong. Every time some old social media post of the Democrat mayoral nominee resurfaces, he's boasting that "the end goal is seizing the means of production," complaining that capitalism is theft,

Democrats in the Texas Legislature were carted to Illinois to try to prevent the Texas Legislature from considering redistricting in the Special Session called by Texas Governor Greg Abbott. While there, the AWOL Texas Democrat legislators, and other prominent Democrat politicians all over the Country, claimed the effort by Texas Republicans to redistrict is “cheating,” “outrageous” and a “threat” to democracy. As usual, the Democrats are guilty of what they accuse Republicans. Democrats are the ones who conduct partisan redistricting all over America. When they gerrymander districts, however, they claim that is “democracy at work.” Here is the truth.

Here is a suggestion: Instruct the Justice Department to open a criminal investigation into Tan. It is time to establish accountability in corporate America when it comes to the People's Republic of China.
The sales were illegal under U.S. law — the university was added to the Commerce Department's Entity List in 2015 — and Cadence in late July pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit export control violations. Additionally, the company agreed to pay a fine of more than $140 million.
To establish accountability, the Justice Department must investigate Tan's role in Cadence's long series of sales to the Chinese military.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned allegations of famine in the Gaza Strip as the product of a “global campaign of lies” in a speech on Sunday, while defending his government’s plan to take military control of Gaza City. He also promised to “bring in more foreign journalists” to Gaza, who have not been permitted beyond military embeds in 22 months of the war between Israel and Hamas.
Netanyahu rejected international allegations that, by denying the entry of aid into Gaza, the Israeli military has inflicted famine upon its population, turning attention toward Israeli hostages still being held by Hamas. “Despite Hamas’s obstacles, two million people
