New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) is declaring “war” on Republicans over plans in Texas proposing a new congressional map, likely resulting in five pickups for the GOP.
Hochul ranted about President Donald Trump and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R), deeming the governor a “co-conspirator” and asserting that they both are eroding democracy and “drag[ging] us toward authoritarianism.”
“Now what Texas and Republican states are doing at the direction of Donald Trump, I say, is nothing short of a legal insurrection against our capital,” she said. “Legal meaning, they’re using the legal process — [it] does not mean it’s legal, and it must be stopped.”

Such heroism, mouthing off behind her blue state walls. New York'ers couldn't even handle Texas' illegal overflow. C'mon down here Hochul and see how loud you whine. Even Crockett is elsewhere cursing Trump while she's out of state.

Proving that liberalism is a mental illness... Can't say socialism is bad but conservatives are.. quietly shaking in her shoes as NYC is @ 40% of the state budget...

Well go ahead, little lady. (In my John Wayne voice) I'm sure Texans are in desperate need of a New Yorker coming down and trying to run their state. After all, look how great New York is right now. Right? /s

What a vile creature. She is using her state not to represent the people of NY, but the DNC. Tough news is NY state has gerrymandered the Hades out of the Refublican party and there isn't a lot of room for Dem gains. One wonders if Refublicans will challenge in court any new districts based on her now documented motivation. Also, the Supreme Joke recently opened up the possibility of review its previously mandated black quota districts. If the Supreme Joke reverse is previous discrimination against other races other than black, it could prove a real dilemma for fascist. Imagine all the Refublican states that have had to enact quota districts suddenly able to gerrymander like DeMS-13.

By her declaration of war I presume that New York state must be gerrymandered in favor of the Democrats and she is scared of redistricting.

Just downloaded the congressional districts map for New York. Not as bad at Illinois but there's definitely already some gerry mandering in NY. Especially upstate. Rochester, Albany... liberal cities are districts unto themselves possibly to keep from being threatened by all the surrounding 'red' voters.

The blue states are already gerrymandered to the max so if they try to squeeze out any more seats it will likely come out red.

The surprising thing to me is you don't even realize how bad things are in NY state and yet weigh in on politics in Texas like you are some astute major deep thinking leader of popular leftist causes.
So clueless.......

Pennsylvania went through redistricting before 2024 but somehow the Philadelphia area swings the entire conservative state toward the democrats and we get stuck with a tax-happy governor.

Texas can't redistrict but she can. Does she listen to herself?

The Crockett dim bulb holds a Federal not a State office so whether or not she is in or out of Texas doesn't affect this matter. However the ultimate outcome of the redistricting will likely mean she will no longer hold a Federal office. That might, hopefully, raise the collective IQ of the House by a tenth of a point.

The NY and CA dimocraps are loudly protesting TX redistricting —none of their business. The situation proves the electoral college is a necessity!

#9: I think you've put your finger on the pulse of the problem: The blue states are already gerrymandered as hell and they can't do anything but bluster. I would watch California, however, where Gov. Hairgel is blasting out hot air that he will somehow further gerrymander CA so that the 9 Republican congressional districts (out of 52) go away. I think that might lead to an insurrection within that state, as 40% of the population is Republican and it is presently represented by only 17% (9 of 52) of its state's seats in the U.S. House.

The entire country, even the world, must endure this mental patient, because for DECADES, NY state has been the spring for DNC voter fraud. NO politician, President, and certainly the RNC, bothered to check out the well documented fake registration, and illegal votes the rats in NY manufacture every single year. Freaks like this are the end result of ignoring or worse yet, giving up, to the rats and media. There are MANY illegal things she has done, and other rats have done. INVESTIGATE and prosecute these freaks.
