Paramount has wrapped up long-running negotiations that will bring the entirety of the South Park catalog to its Paramount+ streaming service, but it’s going to cost them. The media company has agreed to pay the production company owned by South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker $1.5 billion for the global streaming rights for the next five years. HBO Max previously held the streaming rights to the show. Paramount has, instead, aired South Park original films on its streaming service.

Chances are that South Park makes money. Colbert loses money. CBS would be wiser to pay off Colbert and his minions and run South Park or Midnight Sermonette in its place untilMay. Might actually make a buck.

South Park is rude, crude, and socially unacceptable. But it's also hilarious, and it makes money for the network, something Colbert can't do. So I'm with #5. It was a good business decision to keep South Park going. It was also a good business decision to cut loose fanatical leftist Colbert, who is about as funny as a communicable disease.

I used to have it on in the control room back when I was working, just for background noise. It was disgusting. Luckily it was so insipid I could miss 90% of an episode and not miss anything.

Cartman would make a better talk show host than ColberT. The network could show Gilligan's Island or Lucy reruns and get better ratings than ColberT.

Smart move. Unlike Colbert, South Park is actually funny and very popular with Gen Xers. Unlike most entertainment in the US, Stone and Parker ridicule everyone and everything, not just the right.

The whining over Colbert’s show cancellation, most obnoxiously by Colbert himself, is veering into psychotic. This is not an NGO, a charity, or a social experiment. It’s a business. Colbert has no entitlement and should have no expectation of being left on the air losing $40 million a year of Paramount’s money because liberals love his Trump bashing. The idiots claiming this should never be running anything ever.

Sounds good to me. I don't watch South Park very often but the few I did watch were funny. I raised two boys by myself, dad took a hike, so I watched a lot of the stuff they did. My goal was when something not right happened, and Dennis Leary comes to mind with his filthy jokes, I'd tell them he did that for money, but it wasn't right. Anyway, Buh Bye Colbert. We won't miss you.

You know why they paid that? Because people LOVE South Park and will watch reruns as well as all the new content they churn out. It is basic math, it is cheap to produce and turns a huge profit.

On Sunday, the second Trump administration turned six months old. President Trump’s first four years in the White House were already a big success, which is why I fought so hard to bring him back for a second go-round. Yet I think Trump’s second has already surpassed it in just one-eighth the time. Completely and instantly securing the U.S.-Mexico border after the four-year Biden invasion is one of the most important and impressive accomplishments in American presidential history. TV news said the president’s tough trade talk would crash the economy in days; instead the stock market hit record highs this very week and blue-collar wages are rising faster than

The Justice Department recently acknowledged that it is conducting a criminal investigation of both former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey. The current CIA director, John Ratcliffe, made a criminal referral to the DOJ concerning Brennan. Many believe that referral involves perjury on Brennan’s part when testifying before Congress or during Special Counsel John Durham’s inquiry. The precise criminal offenses concerning Comey are not clear at this point. But there was certainly plenty of malfeasance and misfeasance by both these agency heads starting with the inception of the Russia collusion fiasco.

"In America, we don't do kings." That was the message of the leftist protesters who swarmed the streets nationwide on June 14 in opposition to President Donald Trump and his agenda. "Trump must go now!" they chanted, waving signs that likened the president to a dictator and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to his Gestapo. Their complaint was alleged despotism. But if Democrats really opposed authoritarianism, they wouldn't be celebrating its emergence in the courts.

At this point, you would be hard-pressed to find any reasonably informed American who honestly thinks President Joe Biden wasn’t in a state of serious cognitive decline at the end of his term in office. Yet the New York Times has at least two reporters who are willing to pretend they believe this. On Sunday, the Times ran a piece by notorious Russia collusion hoaxer Charlie Savage and Tyler Pager about the thousands of clemency decisions recorded with autopen in the final days of the Biden administration. The piece is meant, on the surface, to be a defense of Biden and his administration’s use of the autopen.

Democrats were virtually salivating as they unanimously voted against Donald Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill two weeks ago, which certainly should give pause to Republicans as they prepare for the midterms and the 2028 elections beyond. What gives the Democrats hope that they can campaign effectively against Trump’s mega-bill? Is it the fact that Republicans were able to make permanent the 2017 tax cuts? Are they planning to campaign against the “no tax on tips” provision that even Kamala Harris supported? Will they claim that funding border security and mass deportation of illegal aliens is somehow bad for the country? No, no, and no.

Barack Obama has broken his silence on calls from Donald Trump for him to be prosecuted by unequivocally rejecting his successor’s accusations that he tried to engineer a “coup” following Trump’s 2016 election victory by “manufacturing” evidence of Russian interference. Obama’s office took the unusual step of issuing an emphatic refutation after Trump told reporters that his predecessor had “[tried] to lead a coup” against him and was guilty of “treason” over intelligence assessments suggesting that Russia had intervened to help Trump defeat Hillary Clinton in the campaign. “Out of respect for the office of the presidency,

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard released further evidence Wednesday morning, which she claims shows the Obama administration's direct involvement in the 2016 post-presidential election Russia hoax. Gabbard, describing the plot as the "most egregious weaponization and politicization of intelligence in American history," posted a series of lies which have, in her view, been debunked by declassifying a 2020 House Intelligence Committee report. The report was an assessment of how the Obama administration manufactured a January 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment, which portrayed Russia as having influenced the 2016 election in favor of Donald Trump. That assessment was "false," Gabbard writes,
