I was a kid during the Watergate hearings in 1973 and 1974, after Richard Nixon's historic landslide re-election. I wasn't too interested in politics at that point - I was 12 - but my Dad made me sit and watch all the coverage with him, admonishing me that "this is history being made." This is the same man, mind you, who a year or two later made me read Aristotle's "Organon" - then quizzed me on it afterward. But I suspect my interest in politics began with Watergate, with that historic event.
Now, we're seeing an equally historic event. And the legal wranglings are beginning: On Wednesday

Wish we could put an iron dome over President Trump. I am glad I lived long enough to see this housekeeping happening. He's going to save the greatest country in the world.

Never gonna happen. Too many Deep Staters involved and too many DeMS-13 in congress to protect them. What I fear is a few might go to a lonely DC park in the dead of the night, use an illegal gun with the serial numbers filed off and commit Arkycide. if the number of self inflicted head shots exceeds more than 12, one might be suspicious it was Arkycide. But DeMS-13 in Congress will use the old KKK excuse that it was the most determine case of Arkycide ever recorded.

I understand why Trump has said don't get distracted by Epstein. These people need to be subpoenaed, but not about the Epstein affair. It should be about the attempted coup against Trump.

Do you remember HRC's Pretty in Pink interview in 1993(?)? 'I don't know how I made 100G in cattle futures.'
Perhaps Paul Shanklin's famous 'My brains in a blender. It's jellloooo' song will make a comeback.
Will HRC act coy and wear a pastel color for her subpoena appearance?

Oh goody...more hearings.... totally geared towards wearing the public out and making us lose interest, and in the end probably nothing will happen to these criminals. This is exactly what happened back when Hillary was SecState, and is the reason I can't stand to even look at Trey Gowdy for all of his bombast and bluster that netted us nothing.

The left has been tearing down Trump for a decade. Now it is his turn. If only our government would govern. Greatest show in town since the circus left. Here come the clowns!

Whatever one's opinion of Bill Clinton the person, and mine is very low, he was once President of the United States. Congress issuing subpoenas to former presidents sets a bad precedent. President Ford spared our country that in President Nixon's case by preemptively pardoning him.
I personally believe most of the bad things that have been said about Clinton's personal conduct before he became president, and I know all of the appalling things he did while he was president. However, there is also political reality to consider here: Should the House Oversight Committee go ahead with this, they will give Clinton the incentive and the public forum to go after them. He's smart enough to make them look bad, and he likely will. If he couldn't be successfully removed from office then, it's unlikely he'll end up in prison now.

The House needs to stay out of it. They had all the time in the world to act; now they want to get in the way and help this go no-freakin-where.
Amen, poster 11, and Trey Gowdy is uber weird looking--hard to look at just in general.

Hey, House Members. Let's save everybody's time and money.
Hildabeast is the queen of "I don't recall." Don't YOU remember?
For someone like her who carries many grudges - some of them to the grave (not hers), it's pointless to interrogate.

#s 11 and 14, I feel the same way about Jim Jordan. Few days go back that he’s not on Fox, yammering about this and that.
(# 14: it’s the shape of his head, and the way he wears his hair.)

The US Government has had so many bad actors embedded in their ranks during the Clinton, Obama and Biden administrations that they will have to build a bigger Capitol to bring them all in. Yes, it's a bad precedent to accuse a former president of wrongdoing but they had no trouble doing that to Donald Trump or Richard Nixon, who fell on his own sword. In fact, they made up things with which to accuse Trump. Clinton and Obama should be exposed for the vile people that they are. Joe Biden will get a pass for his senility, insanity and stupidity. We all know who the front-runners are but the secondary layer of criminals like Susan Rice, Eric Holder, Valerie Jarrett, Ron Klain, Alejandro Mayorkas, Anthony Fauci, etc. are just as despicable.

And, who on the right will have the stones to put these people in prison, when they refuse to comply with the subpoenas, like Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon?

Notice how Obie, Billary, biden the cheater, the dim team, the deep state, and the msm have all gone undercover with the "there's nothing to see here" schtick? They do it this every time the going gets tough. Stall, deflect, and run out the clock. Yep, that's how the left operates.
