I was a kid during the Watergate hearings in 1973 and 1974, after Richard Nixon's historic landslide re-election. I wasn't too interested in politics at that point - I was 12 - but my Dad made me sit and watch all the coverage with him, admonishing me that "this is history being made." This is the same man, mind you, who a year or two later made me read Aristotle's "Organon" - then quizzed me on it afterward. But I suspect my interest in politics began with Watergate, with that historic event. Now, we're seeing an equally historic event. And the legal wranglings are beginning: On Wednesday

Never gonna happen. Too many Deep Staters involved and too many DeMS-13 in congress to protect them. What I fear is a few might go to a lonely DC park in the dead of the night, use an illegal gun with the serial numbers filed off and commit Arkycide. if the number of self inflicted head shots exceeds more than 12, one might be suspicious it was Arkycide. But DeMS-13 in Congress will use the old KKK excuse that it was the most determine case of Arkycide ever recorded.

Whatever one's opinion of Bill Clinton the person, and mine is very low, he was once President of the United States. Congress issuing subpoenas to former presidents sets a bad precedent. President Ford spared our country that in President Nixon's case by preemptively pardoning him. I personally believe most of the bad things that have been said about Clinton's personal conduct before he became president, and I know all of the appalling things he did while he was president. However, there is also political reality to consider here: Should the House Oversight Committee go ahead with this, they will give Clinton the incentive and the public forum to go after them. He's smart enough to make them look bad, and he likely will. If he couldn't be successfully removed from office then, it's unlikely he'll end up in prison now.

The US Government has had so many bad actors embedded in their ranks during the Clinton, Obama and Biden administrations that they will have to build a bigger Capitol to bring them all in. Yes, it's a bad precedent to accuse a former president of wrongdoing but they had no trouble doing that to Donald Trump or Richard Nixon, who fell on his own sword. In fact, they made up things with which to accuse Trump. Clinton and Obama should be exposed for the vile people that they are. Joe Biden will get a pass for his senility, insanity and stupidity. We all know who the front-runners are but the secondary layer of criminals like Susan Rice, Eric Holder, Valerie Jarrett, Ron Klain, Alejandro Mayorkas, Anthony Fauci, etc. are just as despicable.

President Donald Trump announced a sweeping trade agreement with the European Union (EU) on Sunday, setting a baseline 15 percent tariff on European imports — including automobiles — while keeping existing 50 percent duties on steel and aluminum in place. As part of the deal, the EU committed to purchasing $750 billion in U.S. energy products. Trump announced the agreement during a press conference with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen after a private meeting at Trump Turnberry in Scotland. The EU will purchase three-quarters of a trillion dollars in U.S. energy, while also investing $600 billion into America on top of existing investments. Additionally,

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. — Eleven people were stabbed at a Walmart in Traverse City on Saturday — with six in critical condition — in what a Michigan sheriff said appeared to be a random act. A suspect was in custody, authorities said. Around 4:45 p.m., a 42-year-old man entered the store and used a folding knife to stab 11 people, the Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement on social media. A sheriff’s deputy arrived within minutes and took the man into custody, and people in the store also helped apprehend the suspect and treat victims, the sheriff’s office said. The victims’ ages weren’t immediately released.

A Stanford University-led study estimates that COVID-19 vaccinations saved 2.5 million lives from 2020 to 2024, about 17 million fewer than earlier reports suggested, primarily among older adults. That’s the equivalent of one death averted for every 5,400 vaccine doses administered worldwide during the period, according to the findings published Friday in JAMA Health Forum. Official estimates say 7 million people died from the virus worldwide in those years. Led by three Stanford researchers, the study noted that 90% of the lives saved were among people 60 or older, and 82% stemmed from vaccinations administered before they tested positive for COVID.

Pinsker Law of PR #83: “Intensity” and “popularity” aren’t the same thing, but if you spend most of your time online, intensity and popularity become utterly indistinguishable. As such, you miss the forest for the trees. Most political reporters aren’t pounding the pavement anymore, knocking on doors and buying dinner for on-the-fence sources in seedy dive bars. That era of journalism is deader than the dodo. Nowadays, reporters live, breathe, and work online; their “sources” are the voices, texts, and emails popping up on their phones.

Democrats’ approval rating with registered voters has plunged to a 35-year low, while Republicans maintain an edge on most of the top issues Americans care about, a new poll found. A whopping 63% of registered voters view Democrats unfavorably, dramatically eclipsing the 33% who had a positive impression, marking the lowest rating they scored since 1990, according to a Wall Street Journal survey. That abysmal rating for Democrats comes against the backdrop of lackluster figures for President Trump and Republicans. Trump’s approval rating sits at 46%, with 52% who disapprove of the commander in chief. The figure is higher than this point during his first term, which was 40%.

Now, it seems, they may cost the country a portion of its foreign aid from the European Union, in a clear rebuke from the bloc, once a staunch ally. The European Union said on Friday that it would withhold 1.5 billion euros, or $1.7 billion, from an overall fund of 4.5 billion euros whose disbursement is dependent on achieving good governance standards and that can’t be used for military purchases. Zohran Mamdani’s victory in the New York City Democrat mayoral primary marks a troubling shift in the Party’s relationship with Jewish Americans. Mamdani’s candidacy is not simply progressive—it is openly hostile toward Israel and indifferent to rising antisemitism. By nominating him, the party has endorsed a candidate whose record reveals not just poor judgment, but outright radicalism. After the Hamas-led terrorist attack on October 7, 2023—when over 1,200 Israelis were murdered, including children burned alive and women raped—Mamdani declined to offer a clear condemnation. Instead, he deflected by calling Israel an “apartheid regime” at a time when moral clarity was urgently needed.
