California is a beautiful place.
But it has had horrible leadership in the Democratic Party for years, from folks like LA Mayor Karen Bass to Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Instead of being concerned about things he should be focused on in the Golden State, he's already spending a lot of his time gearing up for a run for president in 2028, doing things like attacking his likely competition in Vice President JD Vance. Having such leadership has made it hard for the people who have had to live there and deal with things like the Pacific Palisades fires or the crime in Los Angeles.

Interestingly, we have an Ldotter who posts frequently about nightmarish conditions in Tennessee.

Well, to be honest? In my state, with four gigantic urban areas, we have some nightmarish places too. From all I have heard and read, Franklin is an amazing and lively bright cherry red spot for those new headquarters!
Go In and Out Burgers. I wish you much success !!

The article is a bit unclear. They are opening an outlet in Tennessee next year, and she says then will close their Irvine (CA) headquarters and consolidate it into their Baldwin Park (CA) headquarters. She may be having a home in TN. Sounds as though she'd like to live there.

It's hard for me to imagine Newsom as a Presidential candidate.
If it comes to pass it will seal the assumption that Democrats would vote for a pile of horse dung with a D posted on it.

Geez, when you're a billionaire how can raising a family ANYWHERE not be easy? Lynsi is an interesting character: 3 ex-husbands, recovered drug addict, born-again Christian, helicopter pilot, drag racer, and smart businesswoman who took her first job with the company as a teenager, working anonymously behind the counter at one of the stores. Glad to hear her say that expansion is based on warehouse availability in order to keep everything fresh. Oh, and Kalifornia was a difficult state in which to do business long before Brylcreem became governor.

#5 gets it. ynsi did not found the company. She fell into it and became a very wealthy woman. The state government notwithstanding In-N-Out was a gold mine and Californians made trhat happen. There are three outlets near our home and all three have long double lines at almost any hour of the day or night on any day of the week. Plus hundreds of walkup customers. My now-adult grandchildren do not visit here from Northern California without stopping for In-N-Out at an outlet on the way out of our valley. The loyalty factor is huge and in the restaurant business loyalty is priceless. She'll find out.

Franklin TN is in a very deep red county just south of Nashville which is in Davidson Co. Williamson along with just about every other county around Nashville Davidson Co are red Trump country and very business friendly. They will fit in well here. So many other companies have moved out of CA and the NE to Tennessee.
We used to live in Nashville but their string of commie mayors (they are on #3 or 4 in a row now) along with a more and more progressive city council have and are causing all sorts of issues. Nashville for as long I remember had tended to choose more business friendly moderate old school Democrats for mayors but not anymore. We moved North several years back to a nice old country town with lots of history, charm, and a no nonsense view of crime plus up here (unlike Franklin) we have a lake.

Go ahead on. I live in northwest Alabama about 25 miles south of Fame Studios. This is great news. I always made a stop at In-N-Out when I would visit my family in Pheonix. Six months of Trump and now this. Life is good.

I visited Franklin some years ago. Very nice town. We had gone to tour the battlefield which was a disastrous loss for the Confederacy. We Lost Patrick Cleburne, one of the best generals the South had along with four others. The museum is also well worth a visit. The town has attracted some wealthy people and entertainers who don't want to live in Nashville. I can see why she would want to live there.

They're opening the TN store and eventually moving the whole operation to TN.
The Irvine HQ will close by 2030 to give a long lead time for those executives and families to get their affairs in order.
She's not the only rich person to leave the state of CA where they're broke due to massive number of government employees obtaining higher than market salaries, benefits and a pension most would die for.
They essentially bribed workers with the salaries and pension to ensure they voted Democrat.
They aren't able to fix the problem because it would upset one group or another of their coalition.
The ONLY reason many middle class are able to stay is Prop.13 holding property taxes to a fixed number (1% of the purchase price of your home with only 2% increase per year allowed) which prevents being taxed out of your home when you're on the fixed income.
