WASHINGTON — Senate Republicans on Tuesday advanced President Donald Trump’s request to cancel some $9 billion in previously approved spending, overcoming concerns about what the rescissions could mean for impoverished people around the globe and for public radio and television stations in their home states.
Vice President JD Vance broke the tie on the procedural vote, allowing the measure to advance, 51-50.
A final vote in the Senate could occur as early as Wednesday. The bill would then return to the House for another vote before it would go to Trump’s desk for his signature before a Friday deadline.

It's been an interesting day for news about investigations of Democrats.
I wrote earlier about the report that a criminal referral had been made to the Department of Justice regarding Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) for potential mortgage fraud.
Now, there's more for the Democrats to worry about. The White House has launched an investigation into the Biden autopen scandal. The investigation is being led by the White House Counsel's Office; however, they are coordinating with the Justice Department.

After a long stretch of undeserved patience for the bad faith and brutality of Vladimir Putin, President Trump is now conveying, in action as well as words, that he is done being strung along.
Trump announced Monday that, under a new arrangement, NATO would buy American weapons and pass them on to Kyiv, amounting to billions of dollars in new matériel. Trump said new Patriot batteries could reach Ukraine in days.
Trump also announced his intention to impose new tariffs if there is no cease-fire within the next 50 days, although the details are vague, and he’s made these kinds of threats before.

The White House rolled out an interactive map of the U.S. showing the savings Americans can expect from initiatives under President Donald Trump's One Big, Beautiful Bill Act on a state-by-state basis, Fox News Digital learned Tuesday. Trump signed the massive piece of legislation into law on the Fourth of July, touting that its tax cuts will make the U.S. economy similar to a "rocket ship" as Americans begin feeling its effects.
On Tuesday, the White House published an interactive map of the 50 states that provides breakdowns of how much Americans can expect to save and see in their pocketbooks compared to if the bill had not been passed

In the annals of bad judgment, Elon Musk's picked fight with President Trump over federal spending stands out as a beaut.
While it's true that the recently passed congressional budget, a.k.a., the "Big Beautiful Bill" involved a small rise in spending in the bid to get it through, which was Musk's beef, a beef so strong he ended his relationship with President Trump, it also contained critical tax cuts which usually yield more in tax revenue than congressional estimates. as the economy booms. Tim Kennedy: war hero or stolen valor fraud?
Kennedy, a former MMA fighter and a Green Beret veteran who’s a pretty popular and well-known personality in the special warfare influencer space, is taking serious heat for accusations that he lied about his military service. UFC veteran Tim Kennedy admitted in a social media post on Monday to fabricating a part of his U.S. Army history, previously claiming to have received a Bronze Star Medal with Valor. The National Guard Green Beret is now reportedly under investigation following the news coming to light.

In a unanimous vote Monday evening, the House of Representatives passed a bill that memorializes a twelve-year-old Texas girl who was allegedly murdered by two illegal aliens last year.

The vote was 372-0, with 59 lawmakers not present for the vote. The bill will now be passed to President Trump for his official signature, which would make the bill permanent law.

The Fake News Media loves to mythologize the “law-abiding illegal alien,” particularly now as ICE aggressively enforces federal immigration law. In the process, the Fake News Media often falsely claims people who entered this Country illegally commit less violent crime than American citizens. While the claim illegal aliens commit less violent crime than American citizens is wrong, the notion people who entered this Country illegally are not in violation of the law is laughable. Illegal aliens violate the law in a number of ways. Here are a few.

Consumer prices ticked up slightly, and now they’re scrambling to spin it as proof that Donald Trump’s America First trade agenda is tanking the economy. But don’t fall for the headlines; they’re not telling you the whole story.
Yes, the Consumer Price Index rose 0.3% last month, pushing the annual inflation rate to 2.7%. That’s a bit above the Fed’s 2% target and the highest since February, but it was exactly what Wall Street expected. Actually, it was better.
For starters, the Fed expected an increase in inflation,

My PJ Media colleague Matt Margolis covered the "or else" earlier today, but the executive summary is that unless Moscow agrees to a ceasefire within 50 days, Trump will impose a 100% tariff on exports from Russia and countries that buy Russian oil — targeting major buyers like China, India, Brazil, Turkey, and Europe, too. There's also a heavy sanctions bill working its way through the Senate that Trump says he's warming to.

Can CNN get worse? That's an evergreen question with an evergreen answer.
On Monday, libertarian commentator Brad Polumbo was part of the panel on Abby Phillip's primetime show, and things quickly devolved into racism after Ana Navarro couldn't form an actual rebuttal. The co-host of "The View" claimed that Donald Trump's presidency has been a "reign of terror." At that point, Polumbo rightly, and fairly politely, pointed out that such a statement is hyperbolic.
Did Navarro then provide evidence to back up her rhetoric? Of course, not. She dismissed Polumbo as a "white man" whose opinions don't matter because of his race.

Historically, they are (excuse me) as dumb as rocks, and they probably don’t even know what the word “ideology” means. Now, the Obamas, Pelosis, Schumer, etc., know EXACTLY what they are doing. They are godless, globalist, Marxist-Leninists who are deliberately trying to destroy the traditional values and beliefs of the United States of America. We’ve noted before that today’s Democrats are operating with a mental deficit. A new poll further confirms they are a broken people. While it’s good for a cheap laugh, because they are often smug, condescending and hateful to those who disagree with them, their fragile psychological state poses a threat to the republic.
A Rasmussen poll released Monday found that 60% of Democratic voters still believe “the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government to win the 2016 election.” As disturbing as that is, 69% of those who self-identify as “liberals” believe Donald Trump conspired with Moscow to beat Hillary Clinton.

Tonight, the 2025 Major League Baseball All-Star Game will be played at Truist Park in metro Atlanta. It’s a celebratory event—four years overdue—but few in the media or the commissioner’s office want to talk about what happened last time.
In 2021, Commissioner Rob Manfred yanked this very event out of Georgia over a so-called voting rights controversy fueled by Stacey Abrams and her political machine.
The justification? Georgia’s election law, Senate Bill 202, was labeled “Jim Crow 2.0.” The damage? Nearly $100 million in lost revenue for local businesses. Yet, this story started long before SB 202.

Major League Baseball (MLB) made a scheduling decision regarding the 2021 All-Star Game in Atlanta. The decision was a political statement because of mounting pressure from the Biden Administration, Stacey Abrams, and a litany of virtue-signaling CEOs. In one decision, MLB removed any doubt that it didn't have the baseballs when it moved the All-Star Game to Denver, Col. Why were the wolves howling four years ago? Because the state of Georgia had the temerity to pass an election integrity bill, Senate Bill 202. Democrats, without any evidence, described the bill as "Jim Crow on steroids." The awards to Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, and xAI – each with a $200M ceiling – will enable the Department to leverage the technology and talent

The Lone Star State has boosted tax incentives for Hollywood to $300 million every two years, with guaranteed funding for ten years.
According to my public school math, that’s $1.5 billion in corporate welfare for an industry that hates Texas, hates Texans, and opposes tax cuts for everyone else.
Why do this?
Texas has two reasons, per the far-left Los Angeles Times…
Well, first off, Texas believes Hollywood business boosts other businesses — hotels, restaurants, etc.
Okay, but what business doesn’t boost other businesses? Nothing makes film, TV, and advertising uniquely special in this regard. Here’s what drives me insane about this rationalization to give taxpayer-funded handouts to people who hate taxpayers, especially Texas taxpayers.
