US President Donald Trump said he is planning on making a 'major statement' on Russia on Monday. This comes on the back of US preparing to send new American weapons to Ukrain via purchases from NATO allies. "I think I'll have a major statement to make on Russia on Monday," Trump told NBC News in a telephone interview, news agency Bloomberg reported. In the interview, he also reiterated his criticism of Russia President Vladimir Putin and the country's continued attacks on Ukraine. He said he expects the senate to pass a tougher sanctions bill on Russia, sponsored by a close ally, Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina.

This will be a very difficult war to stop. Putin intends to conquer Ukraine, cares nothing for the dead Russians or destroyed economy and massive military equipment losses, and the Ukrainians want to resist being enslaved to Russia again.

The Ukraine war is now Trump’s war. I really do not want to pay for the pensions of Ukrainian retirees and bureaucrats. We need peace with Russia now a Christian Orthodox country while the Ashkenazi Zelenskyy has evicted Orthodoxy. We are inexorably drawn into WW III and our president cannot stop the military-congressional-industrial complex march. Ukraine will destroy this big beautiful presidency. Not a red cent for Ukraine. Let Germany pay, grow, and take over Europe.

Putin's never intended to respond to Trump's peace offerings. Putin thinks he will get all of Ukraine, even though he is unable to take it on the battlefield. Ukraine is being destroyed, but so is Russia. Russia is losing their male population, which will leave them an ever growing minority in Russia. Putin is a fool.

At this late date in the war, it's becoming possible to foresee how it ends: With the complete and total collapse of the economy of the Russian Federation. President Trump has taken action to unleash the American energy sector and -- in conjunction with the Saudis -- to drive down the price of a barrel of oil below Russia's break-even price. Once that threshold is reached, nobody will want to buy Russian oil, and when the price stays under the threshold for awhile, the Russians will eventually even cease drilling. Combined with the fact that their foreign currency reserves are believed to be down to the $30 billion range, the Russian war machine will run out of money within a year or so. After that, collapse, chaos, and anarchy will follow. And Putin will lose power as well, whether he remains alive or not. At this point, opportunity: President Trump may consider an offer that Russia may not be able to refuse: We (the USA) buy out Russia's nuclear weapons -- all of them, thus rendering Russia a denuclearized state -- and in return we'll help rebuild both Russia and Ukraine. Fail to take that deal, and Russia will be paying WWI style reparations to Ukraine for the next half century. If the Russians are smart and wish to eventually become a peaceful exporter of energy to the rest of Europe (their pre-war biggest customer), they will take the deal.

The media’s desire to make themselves the main character in the story reached the Platonic level on Wednesday as CBS correspondent Scott MacFarlane joined former moderator of NBC’s Meet the Press, Chuck Todd, on his appropriately named podcast: The Chuck Toddcast. According to MacFarlane, he was diagnosed with PTSD after the first assassination attempt against President Trump, not because of the shooting, but because of the reaction of Trump supporters. Meanwhile, Todd thought this was a completely reasonable thing to claim. MacFarlane recalled, “For those of us there, it was such a horror because

New polls show President Donald Trump’s approval among Republicans has risen—not fallen—despite nonstop social media backlash over the Epstein case. CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten admitted this week he was surprised to find that Trump’s standing with Republican voters has strengthened despite widespread complaints on social media about the Epstein files. “You might think his approval ratings were going down with Republicans—if anything, they’re going up,” Enten said, referencing recent polling from CNN and Quinnipiac. According to CNN’s numbers, Republican approval of Trump rose from 86% in the previous poll to 88% this week. Quinnipiac’s poll showed a similar jump, from 87% to 90%. “He is at the apex

Emil Bove’s nomination to serve as a judge on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals is headed to the Senate floor after Democrats walked out of the Senate Judiciary Committee meeting in protest. The panel voted Thursday morning with only Republican support to advance Bove’s nomination, as every Democrat abstained from recording a vote either way. Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) shouted over the proceedings as the roll was called, imploring colleagues to continue debate and accusing committee Chair Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) of failing to follow Senate rules. All Democrats, barring Booker, left the hearing room during the votes to advance Bove and other nominees pending before the committee.

Zohran Mamdani is running for mayor of New York City at exactly the right time in American history. The confluence of a shattered Democratic Party, an electorate wild for change, and a bitterly divided opposition will make the 33-year-old socialist the next mayor of New York City. As long as he doesn't self-destruct, that is. We're going to see if Mamdani can keep his foot out of his mouth in the next three and a half months and avoid making his support of an "intifada" against Jews any larger of a campaign issue than it already is. Otherwise, there doesn't appear to be anything that can stop his election victory.

California's embattled high-speed rail project suffered a major setback after Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced the termination of $4 billion in unspent federal funding by the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). Citing 16 years of failure, no completed high-speed track, and escalating costs, Duffy declared the project, dubbed the "train to nowhere," a mismanaged and over-budget "boondoggle." "This is California’s fault. Governor Newsom and the complicit Democrats have enabled this waste for years. Federal dollars are not a blank check – they come with a promise to deliver results," Duffy said in a statement.

Democrats are counting on a big victory in 2026 to bring their party out of political purgatory, but things aren't exactly going according to plan. CNN's data guru, Harry Enten, offered a "reality check" on Wednesday, citing the current polling numbers compared to what we were seeing in 2018. Traditionally, out-of-power parties have an advantage across multiple fundamentals in midterm elections. That's not materializing, though. Not yet, anyway, and as I'll discuss, that's a big problem for Democrats for one simple reason. I have to wonder how much Enten is liked over at CNN, given his job often becomes quashing the unbridled narratives of his left-wing colleagues.

The U.S. Department of Justice has fired Maurene Comey, the daughter of former FBI director James Comey and a federal prosecutor who worked on cases against Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jeffrey Epstein. The reason for her firing remains unclear. Maurene Comey, an assistant U.S. attorney in the southern district of New York, most recently led the prosecution of Sean “Diddy” Combs. The rapper was convicted of a prostitution-related charge this month but acquitted of more serious charges. Maurene Comey had previously prosecuted Ghislaine Maxwell, the former associate of Epstein who helped the financier run his child sex trafficking ring.

The first officer, who was flying the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, asked the more experienced captain why he moved the fuel switches to the "cutoff" position seconds after lifting off the runway, the report said. Late-night dramatics and surprise defections capped off the push to advance President Donald Trump’s multibillion-dollar clawback package through procedural hurdles, but now lawmakers are nearing the finish line. Lawmakers cruised through hours of debate on Trump’s $9 billion rescissions package Wednesday morning and are now entering into another vote-a-rama, where both sides of the aisle can offer an unlimited number of amendments to the package. At stake are clawbacks that would yank back congressionally approved funding for foreign aid programs and public broadcasting, which Senate Democrats, and some Republicans, have admonished.
