The Great Land's senior Senator, Princess Lisa Murkowski (R, supposedly - AK), is in the news again, this time suggesting that she might consider bailing on the Republican Party and becoming an Independent. That's not surprising to those of us here in the Great Land who have followed Princess Lisa's career; I'm not enamored of the term RINO (Republican in Name Only) as I think it's far too liberally (hah) applied, but in this case, it certainly applies. As an example, I might point out our last election, in which Princess Lisa tossed Democrat Mary Peltola some props at the cost of Republican Nick Begich III, who ended up winning.

In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court has issued a big win to the Donald Trump administration. The ruling pauses an order from a lower court judge that required the administration to give illegal immigrants a warning before sending them to other countries with which they have no prior ties.
The program, called “third-country removal,” was shot down by a federal judge in May. U.S. District Judge Brian Murphy blocked the administration’s attempt to deport a group of immigrants to South Sudan. Shocker: Murphy is a Joe Biden appointee.

Before I complete the first sentence of this article, I'm confident that most if not all who read it can agree on at least one thing: The United Nations — the UN Human Rights Council, in particular —has not only disproportionately condemned Israel, for decades; it has also been inherently adversarial to the United States with respect to many U.S. positions and initiatives, for decades.
That said, it comes as zero surprise that United Nations Secretary General António Guterres has condemned President Donald Trump's attack on Iranian nuclear sites over the weekend, while saying zero about the radical Islamists intentionally targeting Israeli civilian areas, including a civilian hospital.

A year ago, the regime in Tehran had the Biden administration cowed into suppressing Israeli action against the country.
Iran has told the United States that it will attack Israel directly unless the Biden administration secures a ceasefire in Gaza, according to an Arab diplomatic source who spoke with Jadeh Iran.
The ultimatum follows an Israeli attack on an Iranian diplomatic facility in Damascus last week. The source told Jadeh Iran that a ceasefire could also lead to progress on other aspects of the U.S.-Iran relationship. This comes following mediation by Oman between the U.S. and Iran.

Did the B-2 bomber strikes on Fordow accomplish its intended mission -- to shut down the nuclear-weapons development site? Some wondered at just how much damage the strikes caused after the US released before-and-after aerial photos of the redoubt. Apart from six neatly spaced holes in the ground, very little surface disruption could be seen, causing some to question Donald Trump's claim to have eliminated Fordow's capabilities.
Not so fast, Rafael Grossi testified today. The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency delivered an assessment of the situation in Vienna, and it should remind everyone of two salient points. First, the GBU-57 bunker busters are designed to create underground damage

Israel hit key Iranian targets in a fresh series of devastating airstrikes Monday, attacking the headquarters of the country’s elite military police force and blowing off the front of its most notorious, brutal prison.
The most intense bombing yet of government sites around Tehran came a day after the US joined Israel’s war on thwarting the Islamic Republic from being able to build nuclear bombs.
“The Iranian dictator will be punished with full force for attacking the Israeli home front,” Israel’s Defense Ministry said of the latest attacks. Shocking security footage shows one missile strike blasting open the doors of Evin Prison, where the Islamic Republic held its opponents and critics

Jeffrey Goldberg wasn't on the Signal chat this time; hell, there wasn't even a Signal chat between Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and top defense officials that we know of leading up to the Iran nuclear strike on Saturday night. The operational security surrounding the meticulously planned and flawlessly orchestrated strikes on Iran was on such close hold that they were over and our bombers out of Iranian airspace before the mullahs knew about it. It was over before the media knew about it. It was front-page news before most congressional Democrats found out about it.
And they're really steamed over it.

Hundreds of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) members were killed by Israeli strikes across Tehran on Monday, an Israeli official told The Jerusalem Post.
"Over 50 fighter jets" targeted and struck "military command centers belonging to the Iranian regime. The sites struck included missile and radar production sites and missile storage infrastructure in Tehran," the IDF later confirmed.
During the strikes, Israel targeted various locations in Tehran, which included the Basij headquarters and Evin Prison.
The Basij is a paramilitary militia part of the IRGC. The United States designated both the IRGC and Basij terrorist entities.

Up until now, President Donald Trump has stopped short of calling for regime change in Iran, but after he ordered the massive U.S. strikes on the Islamic Republic’s nuclear sites Saturday evening, he appears to have changed his tune. If the current despotic, extremist regime can’t make “Iran Great Again,” perhaps it’s time for someone else to do it, he suggested: Posting to Truth Social Sunday afternoon, he argued that it’s time for “MIGA”:
It’s not politically correct to use the term, “Regime Change,” but if the current Iranian Regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn’t there be a Regime change??? MIGA!!!
