Iran has been urgently signaling that it seeks an end to hostilities and resumption of talks over its nuclear programs, sending messages to Israel and the United States via Arab intermediaries, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday, citing officials. The report quotes officials as saying that Tehran has told Arab officials they would be open to returning to the negotiating table as long as the US doesn’t join the hostilities. They also sent messages to Israel saying it is in the interest of both sides to keep the violence contained.

As soon as iran's nuke program is fully eradicated, hamas, houthi, and hezbollah are eradicated, and the enriched uranium has been confiscated, and Khamenei is dealt with, then maybe can "talk". Until then, No Deal.

This proposal certainly is worth studying. Set up some bipartisan committees in both houses of congress and take a good close look at the process of creating peace in the middle east. Shouldn't take much more than six months to arrive at a position paper on whether or not to proceed, and how, maybe. Meanwhile, let the party continue.

Doesn't anyone else see Iraq 2.0 unfolding before our eyes? We know they have a nuke program. We know they'll never give it up. We know theyll agree to anything and then incrementally cross every red line and impede inspection access. Then what? Pray tell. Because if we invade them and kill their leaders we'll be stuck in another regime change war. Exactly like Iraq which is now derided as a colossal screw up.

Oh, HELL NO! Don’t talk to them. Keep bombing and raining missiles down on them until all the mullahs, and all their military leaders, are dead. Then, bomb the roads leading out of Tehran. Then, bomb the electric power stations and the cellphone towers. They want to live in the 7th century - let’s arrange that for them. We can arrange for a cease-fire with whoever might be left. In the meantime, get some arms to the opposition leaders.

They had 60 days to negotiate, i.e. stall. Day 61 >> TIME'S UP! This is a CRITICAL lesson to Iran and the world. Take Trump seriously or risk serious consequences. Iran has never negotiated in good faith and it's a waste of time and risk to lives to let them keep pretending to be "reasonable". They are NOT! As others have said, once their nuclear program and its masterminds are DUST, we can talk. At least One non negotiable condition, if Hamas, Hezbollah, or the Houthis launch attacks, IRAN is held responsible. They created these monsters. They are responsible for the damage they do.

The next flashpoint in President Donald Trump’s battle to reshape the federal judiciary is coming — and it’s dividing the right. Trump recently appeared to declare war on the Federalist Society, the powerful conservative legal advocacy organization that played an essential role in his election both in 2016 and 2024. After one of his first-term appointees ruled against him in a major challenge to his tariffs, Trump launched a public tirade against the former chair of the group, Leonard Leo, who Trump described as a “sleazebag” who “probably hates America” before blaming the group for “bad advice they gave me on numerous Judicial Nominations.”

Little noticed in the hyper-compressed news cycle is the minor revolt among some of Trump's strongest supporters, who are loudly dissenting from the Trump Iran policies. "Hey, I voted for peace!" seems to be the war cry. John wrote about Trump's split with Tucker Carlson last night. Both Tucker Carlson and Steve Bannon have been pushing back on Trump's support for the war, and both have been accusing Israel of betraying the United States by dragging us into the war. They are just the tip of the iceberg. A significant fraction of the "America First" MAGA influencers are inclined to see that policy as "Fortress America,"

President Donald Trump on Tuesday has demanded that Iranian forces unconditionally lay down their arms and is suggesting that American forces may target Iran’s head of state if the Islamic Republic doesn’t cease targeting Israeli civilians or targets any American forces in the region. In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote that the U.S. “know exactly where” Iran’s “so-called Supreme Leader,,” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is “hiding” and described him as an “easy target” who is currently “safe” in his current location. “We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers,” the president continued before adding:

Since the Mullahs seized power in Tehran in 1979, the U.S. has been playing for a tie in Iran. Now, it is time for President Trump to play for a win. For forty-six years, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his predecessors have been waging a war against the U.S. and our allies in the Middle East. “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” have not been just slogans but decades-long causes. Iran’s war against Washington has at times been overt, as when the regime sanctioned Iranian students storming the U.S. Embassy in Tehran in 1979. For 444 days, fifty-two Americans were held hostage. Israel will not stop fighting Iran until it has destroyed the Iranian regime’s ballistic missiles and its nuclear facilities, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Operations Directorate chief Maj. Gen. Basiuk spoke as speculation mounted about a possible ceasefire between Israel and Iran, as President Donald Trump left the G7 meeting in Canada early, and as Iran reportedly asked mediators to find an end to the war. The general’s response suggests that Israel will not leave its security up for negotiation any longer. Missile barrages have disrupted life in Israel, and highlighted the potential dangers of nuclear-armed warheads.
