House Speaker Mike Johnson rightly stated that Sen. Alex Padilla's thuggy behavior, lunging into the personal space of Homeland Secuity Secretary Kristi Noem as she was trying to give a speech in Los Angeles, was well worth congressional censure.
But that's not how the left saw it. The Los Angeles Times ran an op-ed by a leftwing lawyer-activist with this headline:
Trump’s war on Latinos reaches a new low in abuse of Sen. Alex Padilla
Rep. Ilhan Omar called the apprehension of the hulking apparent attacker on a slight woman giving a speech "lawless" and demanded an investigation.

He looked like someone's crazy lawn guy babbling a bunch of unhinged nonsense..
They're dragging him out and he's hollering:
"The fact of the matter is a half a dozen violent criminals that you're rotating on the Earth."
What does that even mean? That's insanity talking and those agents recognized that.

I am a California voter and would not have recognized Padilla’s face at all. The Senator did the attack on Kisty Noem so we do not confuse him with a big Mexican.

There's a proper way to do things and then there's this. You want to have words with Sec. Noem? Fine....you pick up the phone and arrange a sit-down. He was trying to make himself into some kind of martyr.

Because he is a stupid, inane, useless, attention seeking Dem who thought he would bully Ms. Noem and make political points for himself. He actually looked exactly like what he is and has helped to solidify peoples thoughts about what the Dem party has become and how low they will go for power and money, because they sure as hell don't give a damn about the American people!

There were several reasons but not one was good, polite, acceptable or honorable. He was a big stupid loudmouth who screwed up. Not what Californians or any state should tolerate in government.

"if they would stoop to this idiocy. It might be all they have now."
Not surprising for the party of pink outfits and ping pong paddles. Their subversive partners, the propaganda media, the Deep State, NGOs, ... are all crumbling and being defunded. They are losing most of their court battles. Many of the members of their party think they are ineffectual. Even their Go To rioting isn't working out so well.
They are desperate and stupid.
Yet, Congressmen acting as thugs just to spin up media stories seems suicidal. Most of the public rejects violent acts.

That seems to be their latest strategy; having "no name" communists pulling stunts to get on the news. Then the big name communists (like Schumer) can scream into the cameras and pretend to be outraged. And the suckers fall for it every time.

Well, within hours of his stunt he sent out an email trying to fundraise from it, so there’s that.

I spoke to Captain Obvious and in a very thoughtful way he listened to the question: "Why did Alex Padilla pull such a stupid, useless, inane stunt?" And after a pause he replied: "Because Alex Padilla is stupid, useless and inane."
Pure genius.

It was stupid , useless and insane had a Republican done it. Not so much for Padilla.
He got what he wanted . Notoriety, and he started a fund raiser, and the Democrats are 100% behind him.
What is stupid about that?

He's a socialist/democrat and he knew this would make great theater for the media and subsequently enhance his career not only in the demoslut party, but he would become a media superstar. Plus, he knew nothing would happen to him. No charges, just publicity.

After Trump was shot and dodged a second attempt on his life, is it any wonder that they stopped this idiot from getting close to Noem. He's lucky he didn't get shot dead.

I always thought there was a level of civility one must have to represent the people our our country whether it is a tow, district, state or our country. We now have bottom feeders being elected who either are trained to act as gutter snipes or assume the role to make people think they are brave.

The sad part is Schumer and Jeffries pretending that this was not a totally staged stunt led some people to believe that it was real.

It's Padilla's way of introducing himself to the American people, so they'll know his name when he runs for president in 2028.

The female Fox Radio News reporter apparently agrees with Padilla. I was listening to the radio on the way home from afternoon worship service when she delivered her report of the incident saying exactly what Padilla said. Everything that happened to the poor guy was for “asking a question”. No mention of the circumstances surrounding the “question”.
“Fox News - America is Listening!” Yep, and hearing misinformation. No different from the rest of the “mainstream news” outlets. That’s why I dropped television news, including Fox, years ago.
The only reason I heard her today was because the report came during my listening to a favorite music station that only plays music from back when artists could actually sing, and you could tell who was singing by their distinctive voices. Almost everyone sounds the same these days, and I think it’s being generous to describe most of it as singing.
It’s getting to be the same with news. The only way you can tell the difference is when they announce which news organization they’re with. They could be reading rom the same script. I don’t even remember her name.
