Former US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, who served during the first Trump administration, has revealed a disturbing development out of Texas. Friedman says a planned major conference, with more than 1,000 attendees expected, has now been canceled due to overwhelming threats of jihadist violence. This comes against the backdrop of a string of recent violent attacks by pro-Hamas radicals inside the United States -- from an arson attack at the Pennsylvania Governor's mansion in April, to the murder of two Israeli embassy workers at a Jewish museum in Washington, DC, to the firebombing of peaceful demonstrators in Colorado on Sunday.
And now, we learn this:

The FBI announced on Thursday that it had thwarted an improvised explosive attack and a possible mass shooting that was to take place at a Washington mall.
Federal agents arrested a teenager who is suspected of planning the assault last month, according to a press release.
A teenager, whose name will not be released due to an effort to limit public disclosure of a minor, was arrested May 22 by Columbia County Sheriff’s Office deputies after his plans to set off an explosive at a shopping mall in Washington and shoot people as they fled the movie theater there were reported to the FBI on May 19, law enforcement leaders said Thursday.

Today is the 81st anniversary of the historic D-Day invasion of Normandy, when the Allies shifted the balance of World War II against the Nazis.
From Pointe du Hoc to Omaha Beach, and from Colleville Sur Mer to Sainte-Mère-Église, the heroism of American troops was on full display on June 6, 1944. Many of the Allied leaders were incompetent (Patton aside), but our men more than made up for that with their determination and courage. Nor did the fighting and dying end on the Normandy beaches, as troops fought their difficult way into the French countryside, pushing the Nazis back.
There are countless stories of bravery

Imagine picking up every man in a medium-sized city, everything they’ll need to eat and drink and rest for a few days, any vehicles they might need, gasoline, of course, plus lots of guns and ammo, and then moving it all in a few short hours a distance of anywhere from 30 to 125 miles.
But this is no road trip. You have to move all those people and all that stuff partly by air, but mostly across heavy seas in foul weather.
Under enemy fire.
I should also mention that if you messed up any of the big details — or even some of the small ones —

Earlier this week, I said that another Biden scandal is blowing up, and that it was out of East Palestine, Ohio, where a Norfolk Southern freight train carrying hazardous materials derailed and burst into flames on Feb. 3, 2023—causing a major environmental disaster.
The Biden administration ordered evacuations and carried out a so-called “controlled burn,” sending a toxic plume into the air and blanketing the area in chemicals the Biden administration knew would pose serious long-term health risks. But the Biden White House nevertheless assured residents they were safe, downplaying the risks and stonewalling concerns in what now looks like a blatant cover-up.

A third Biden autopen was discovered on Thursday amid a federal investigation into “who ran the United States while Biden was in office.”
House Oversight Chairman James Comer is also spearheading a congressional investigation into Biden’s health coverup.
On Wednesday President Trump directed his White House Counsel, David Warrington, in consultation with Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate “whether certain individuals conspired to deceive the public about Biden’s mental state and unconstitutionally exercise the authorities and responsibilities of the President.”

Former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre reportedly wanted to be the next co-host of ABC's "The View" before she had to opt for a tell-all book to try and rewrite history and her part in the Biden cover-up.
Following the news about KJP's book, "Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines," those in former President Joe Biden's circle came out and blasted her as a grifter and more, Politico reported.
In the book, Jean-Pierre claims that she's done with the Democratic Party after working in former Presidents Barack Obama's and Biden's administrations, embracing life now as an Independent.

On Wednesday, we learned that a federal judge in Colorado has blocked the deportation of the family of the accused Boulder firebomber, Mohamed Soliman. The family is represented by a "Next Friend," Susanna Dvortsin; it was she who was the petitioner in the case wherein that federal judge blocked the deportation.
Turns out, as The Federalist has uncovered, that Susanna Dvortsin has quite the checkered past herself.
Susanna Dvortsin, the attorney trying to prevent the family of Mohamed Soliman — the illegal alien charged with setting Jewish demonstrators on fire in Boulder, CO — from being deported, has an integrity problem.
In 2019, Dvortsin was suspended from practicing law

If the terrorist attack that happened Sunday in Boulder, Colorado, wasn't infuriating enough, what we learned about the alleged perpetrator once more details emerged made it even worse.
RedState's Bob Hoge reported in the aftermath of the attack that DHS confirmed the suspect involved in what's being described as a "flamethrower attack" was an illegal immigrant. 45-year-old Egyptian national, Mohamed Sabry Soliman, "entered the country in August 2022 on a B2 visa that expired on February 2023." DHS also noted that he "filed for asylum in September 2022."
As the pro-Hamas suspect in the Israeli Embassy employee murders did, Soliman reportedly yelled "free Palestine!" during the attacks,

During a Senate Judiciary subcommittee hearing on the abuse of nationwide injunctions yesterday, Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) took direct aim at University of Pennsylvania law professor Kate Shaw, wife of MSNBC’s Chris Hayes. What followed wasn’t just a pointed exchange; it was a complete intellectual beatdown. Of course, that's what always happens with Kennedy.
Shaw, invited by Democrats as an expert, quickly found herself exposed as a partisan hack, stammering and backpedaling while Kennedy dismantled her credibility piece by piece.
Kennedy confronted Shaw over her inconsistent views on universal injunctions — condemning them when used against Democrats, then suddenly embracing them under President Trump.

When a judge starts out his opinion with Kafka, you know you're in for a ride....
This case — J.G.G. v. Trump, involving the removal of Tren de Aragua (TdA) members pursuant to the Alien Enemies Act — has already been a ride-and-a-half. There's a new twist to it, as Judge James Boasberg has now issued a new ruling on the case. And, yes, his opinion begins with Kafka:
One morning, Kafka’s Josef K. awakens to encounter two strange men outside his room.
The case, of course, involves a planeload (or two) of Venezuelans — illegal aliens believed to be TdA members —

Democrat Congresswoman Becca Balint shared her perspective that immigrant labor in America serves a rather undesirable purpose.
If we don't have avenues for people to come here legally to work or to build a home here—I'm gonna be really crude right now. We're not gonna have anyone around to wipe our a**es because we don't have enough people."
The comments came while she was speaking to constituents at a town hall in Newport, Vermont. Balint is also proudly the first congresswoman for the state of Vermont. [Video]
Contrary to the claims made by Congresswoman Balint, avenues for legal immigration already exist in the United States.
