The Knives Are Out for KJP

Original Article

This is gonna be fun to watch. Ed wrote a great piece this morning about the "reviews" of Karine Jean-Pierre's book, which is currently vaporware. It's not the book that is the target of all this bile pouring forth, but Karine Jean-Pierre herself. After years of pent-up anger, the opportunity to strike out at her has attracted all comers. Ed's piece focused on the "external" reviews--Scott Jennings and Stephen A. Smith taking KJP apart. And they were hilarious. After all the "now it can be told" books basically ignored KJP's role in Biden Brain Boondoggle, the actual appearance of KJP has reminded people of why they hated her so much.

How can they keep their knives in the drawer?? Here they are, after they pushed this lamebrain, ignoramus and total embarrassment on the country, just because she checked off all the boxes [a relatively presentable lesbian black chick with oriental ideas and addiction to leftist Kool-Aid]. Void of original ideas or coherent convictions, she was the perfect emblem of the Biden era. They put her on the map, paid her lavishly for her obeisance, protected her job ....... only to come up empty as soon as she could fly the coop. I find her obnoxious to no end, but can fully understand that losing her gig had to be traumatic enough to push her to write a book. Now, she needs to sell that book, taking a cue from all preceding press secs: write a "tell-all" story and push it in the MSM if you hope to get a job going forward.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) threatened Friday that his state would stop tax payments to the federal government, after news reports suggested President Donald Trump was thinking of cutting funds to the state. As Breitbart News noted earlier in the day, reports emerged suggesting that the Trump White House was considering cutting federal funding to California due to its challenges to, and defiance of, federal policy. Breitbart News reported: President Donald Trump is reportedly considering ways to pull more federal funding from the State of California, as Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) continues to defy White House policies, despite needing money.

The Supreme Court on Friday handed the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) two major victories in its expanding legal battle over drastic efforts to reshape the federal bureaucracy. In two separate emergency rulings issued simultaneously, the court lifted a block on DOGE personnel accessing sensitive Social Security Administration (SSA) systems and wiped a ruling forcing DOGE to turn over discovery in a records lawsuit. Both rulings appeared to be along the Supreme Court’s ideological lines,

Employers in the United States added 139,000 workers to their payrolls in May, the Department of Labor said Friday, and the unemployment rate was unchanged at 4.2 percent. Economists had been expecting 125,000 jobs and an unemployment rate unchanged at 4.2 percent. President Donald Trump’s program of shrinking the federal government is showing signs of progress. Employment in the federal government fell by 22,000 in May and is down 59,000 since January. The private sector added 140,000 jobs, more than the 120,000 forecast.

Everybody has been laughing at CNN's skydive without a parachute, and we all had a chuckle when the ratings came out that showed that CNN's viewership is now about 1/6th that of Fox News. After all, who would have predicted that the publicity push for Jake Tapper's "Original Sin" (apologies to Alex Thompson, who co-wrote the book and is an actual journalist, but nobody cares about non-celebrities anymore) wouldn't give CNN a bump or two in the ratings? I expected it would have, since any publicity is good publicity if you are looking for ratings. So it's funny that the more people see Jake Tapper, the less interested they are

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has confirmed that Israel is arming clans in Gaza that he says are opposed to Hamas. His comments came after Israeli media reports quoted defence sources as saying Netanyahu had authorised giving weapons to one particular group in the south of Gaza. Several Israeli politicians have accused Netanyahu of endangering Israeli security. "What's wrong with this?" Netanyahu says in a short video he's tweeted. "It only saves the lives of Israeli solders", he continues - "and publicising it only helps Hamas".

Texas on Tuesday removed BlackRock (BLK.N), opens new tab from a list of companies seen as boycotting the energy industry, a step the New York asset manager won only with steep cuts to its climate ambitions. Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar said the decision reflected BlackRock's retreats from industry climate groups like the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative. He also noted how the firm has lowered its support for shareholder environmental resolutions and backed a new Texas Stock Exchange. BlackRock "has acknowledged the real social and economic costs, both here in Texas and globally, that come from limiting investment in the oil and gas industry," Hegar said in a statement.

Former President Bill Clinton said Thursday on ABC’s “The View” that he was “worried” the “courts won’t hold until we have the midterm elections” when asked about his concerns over President Donald Trump. Co-host Sunny Hostin said, “Mr. President, I agree with you, we need to talk about the future. And beyond President Trump’s big, beautiful bill, he is working to dismantle, in my view, our foundational institutions, right? He’s intimidating law firms and universities, he’s stifling media, he’s illegally disappearing people and deporting people. And he’s now threatening to impeach judges. So are you confident that the courts will hold? And what concerns you most about what he’s doing now?”

World leaders and organizations are learning quickly in the second Trump administration that things aren't business as usual when it comes to how they treat the U.S. and its allies. Sure, when President Joe Biden was behind the Resolute Desk, they could say and do what they wanted willy-nilly. One of those orgs. that got the wrong message is the International Criminal Court (ICC). RedState previously reported extensively on the ICC, The ICC has already suffered some fallout for its prosecutors from the U.S., including for the Hague-based international justice body's lead lawyer: (emphasis added) The US has already sanctioned the ICC’s chief prosecutor, Karim Khan, because of his role

It's been a mixed year for Second Amendment advocates, but on Thursday, came a significant win from the Supreme Court on that front. The Court announced a decision in "Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc., Et Al. Petitioners v. Estados Unidos Mexicanos." In this case, Mexico in effect sued American gun manufacturers for the plague of violence that is sweeping Mexico. The Supreme Court, in its decision, noted that Mexico's case runs afoul of the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, or PLCA. Best of all, the decision was unanimous. Here's the main point of the decision: Because Mexico’s complaint does not plausibly allege that the defendant gun manufacturers aided and abetted

In the debate about which U.S. President has the record for deporting the most illegal aliens, it looks like former Pres. Obama still holds the title. The UK Independent did an in-depth look into the question in late 2024, just after Trump was elected to a second term. The outlet produced this confusing graph. For our purposes, the red bars at the bottom are what we would consider to be deportations: involuntary departures facilitated by a formal order. “Returns” come in a variety of flavors and include people leaving voluntarily (a good thing). The rest of the figures in the blue, light blue, and pink bars represent

Military families homeschool their children at about twice the rate of the general population. About 12% of military kids are homeschooled, pointing to the many advantages of giving children continuity in a job given to frequent relocation. Otherwise, the same issues that drive non-military parents to homeschool their kids apply, including academic quality, ideology, flexibility, and safety concerns. Realizing this, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a memorandum in May directing subordinates to conduct a review of what their departments are doing to support homeschooling in the military. "Homeschooling offers an individualized approach for students and highlights the significant role parents play in the educational process. I hereby direct

A third Biden autopen was discovered on Thursday amid a federal investigation into “who ran the United States while Biden was in office.” House Oversight Chairman James Comer is also spearheading a congressional investigation into Biden’s health coverup. Facing a federal investigation into his use of an autopen to sign executive actions, former President Joe Biden insists he was in control of the White House for the past four years. “I made the decisions about the pardons, executive orders, legislation, and proclamations. Any suggestion that I didn’t is ridiculous and false,” Biden said in a statement on Wednesday. President Donald Trump declared his predecessor’s last-minute pardons void early this year after the Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project discovered the pardons were signed by a mechanical autopen rather than by the president’s own hand.

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk on Thursday ordered his aerospace company to immediately decommission its Dragon capsule, which NASA uses to service the International Space Station, amid a public feud with President Donald Trump. The cancellation is retaliation for Trump's proposal to end government contracts and subsidies it has with Musk's companies in order to balance the federal budget. The feud between the former allies escalated in the past 48 hours after Musk publicly slammed the president's "big, beautiful bill" as a "disgusting abomination" for its failure to address deficit spending. Musk first started the fight last week when leaving public service.
