Winston Churchill once warned that “appeasement is feeding the crocodile, hoping he will eat you last.” When it comes to the crocodile of censorship, history is strewn with defenders who later became digestives. Censorship produces an insatiable appetite for greater and greater speech limits, and today’s censorship supporters often become tomorrow’s censored subjects.
This week, Secretary of State Marco Rubio stopped feeding the crocodile. On May 28, 2025, Rubio shocked many of our allies by issuing a new visa restriction policy that bars foreign nationals deemed “responsible for censorship of protected expression” in the U.S.
The new policy follows a major address by Vice President J.D. Vance in Munich

Hundreds of peonies were vandalized at a University of Michigan garden at the peak of the flowers' bloom time.
The vandalism happened late Saturday and was discovered Wednesday at the WE Upjohn Peony Garden in the Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum. The University of Michigan Division of Public Safety and Security said officers found that about 250 peony plants of the garden's roughly 800 peony plants had most of their flowers appear to have been intentionally cut and left behind on the ground, with the scene surprising both garden staff and visitors.
University police say no group has been identified or taken credit for the vandalism, but

A Michigan antisemite was plotting to massacre kids at a Jewish daycare and tried to illegally buy assault weapons after hurling threats at the preschoolers, federal prosecutors have revealed.
Hassan Chokr, 35, was out on bail when he drove through the parking lot of Temple Beth El in Bloomfield Hills, outside Detroit, and shouted antisemitic slurs and threats as parents dropped off their kids in December 2022, authorities said.
He pleaded guilty to federal gun charges on May 28.
US Attorney Jerome F. Gorgon Jr said Chokr’s attempted gun purchase was part of what authorities believe was a larger plot “to follow through on his menacing threats against parents and preschoolers

The suspect in Sunday’s antisemitic terror attack in Colorado hoped to pull off a mass shooting, but his immigration status prevented him from buying a gun — and he now faces up to 624 years behind bars if convicted in the horror, officials said Monday.
Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, admitted to a detective that he initially planned on gunning down his victims, even taking a concealed-carry class where he learned how to fire a weapon, authorities said.
But the Egyptian national was blocked from purchasing the weapon because his US visa had expired, Judicial District Attorney Michael Dougherty said at a press conference Monday afternoon in Boulder.

Author and political commentator David Brooks sparked outrage and calls for the defunding of PBS after outrageous comments about Elon Musk.
The New York Times columnist likened the billionaire Tesla CEO to infamous mass murderers in history on “PBS Newshour” as he blasted the cuts to USAID under Musk’s leadership of the Department of Government Efficiency.
“So far, 55,000 adults have died of AIDS in the four months since Trump was elected; 6,000 children are dead because of what DOGE did. That’s just PEPFAR, the HIV. You add them all up, that’s 300,000 dead, and we’re four months in,” Brooks claimed.

Republican strategist Scott Jennings pushed back hard when podcast host Tara Palmeri claimed during a Sunday debate that political violence was an equivalent issue on “both sides” of the aisle.
Jennings said on “The Tara Palmeri Show” that one recommendation he would give Democrats is to dispose of their “violent tendencies,” noting the vandalism against Tesla that spiked due to Elon Musk’s involvement with President Donald Trump’s administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Palmeri interrupted to refute his claim that political violence is a left-wing problem by bringing up the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot, but Jennings noted that it was “one bad day” rather than a pattern.

Leaked medical tests reportedly show that Algerian boxer Imane Khelif, who won Olympic gold as a female boxer in Paris last year, has “male karyotypes” and may not qualify as a female for the 2027 Olympics after the new gender test requirement comes into force.
Khelif dominated all female opponents to win the gold in women’s boxing at the 2024 event. Still, the win was marred by controversy because the Algerian had been disqualified from competing as a female in 2022 and 2023 by the International Boxing Association (IBA) due to concerns about the validity of Khelif’s gender tests.

The U.S. Department of Education revealed that over $30 million in federal student aid had been distributed to thousands of deceased individuals during the past three years. The disclosure followed an internal cross-check of student aid records against federal grant logs and the Social Security Death Index.
The discovery of erroneous payments totaling over $30 million to deceased individuals raises significant concerns about the integrity of federal financial aid programs, which are funded by U.S. taxpayers. President Donald Trump's administration has been emphasizing the amount of money the government is wasting and has been trying to eliminate unnecessary expenses.

“Never let a good crisis go to waste.” The phrase is often attributed to Winston Churchill, as well as former Barack Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel.
Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin (D) is apparently taking that message to heart and is using Sunday’s tragic terror attack in Boulder, Colorado by a deranged antisemite against marchers from the American Jewish group "Run for Their Lives" to push for an agenda that has nothing to do with the assault: gun control.
If only we could get rid of those dreaded "military style assault weapons," attacks like this wouldn't happen.
The problem with his mind-boggling assessment? No guns were used in the attack.

Democrats have been demonizing and whipping up anger against ICE and other federal agents trying to do their jobs for immigration enforcement. It's despicable what they have been doing.
They've had people like Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) referring to them as "Gestapo." Goldman also attacked ICE and federal agents for wearing masks during immigration enforcement. He even questioned them for wearing plain clothes in a bizarre attack - as though police marking down a suspect would/should wear police outfits that would scare off the person they're trying to arrest.

I know we've all felt an intellectual aridity in our lives since Kamala Harris's presidential campaign ended, along with her deep cultural insights that left us all in a state of awe.
Who can forget the immortal words, "What can be, unburdened by what has been"?
What was more head-scratching than that turn of nonsensical phrase was the repetitiveness with which she said it.
I don't know about you, but my wife, in-laws and I turned it into a private intra-family laugh line, repeating it whenever we felt like cracking each other up in a group chat.
Another inside joke was our, usually hopeless, effort to repeat Kamala's Churchillian quote:

Forgery is a crime we don’t hear much about anymore since few people write checks and instead rely on electronic payment methods. It can take many forms, such as signing a check or document in someone else’s name without their permission or knowledge. Creating a false document like a driver’s license was once a teenage rite of passage, but it was much easier in my day when the license was a piece of paper rather than a hardened piece of plastic containing myriad anti-fraud provisions.

Democrats aren’t even pretending anymore. If they retake the House, they’re coming for Trump—again. On Sunday, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) openly admitted she would “absolutely” launch an impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump if given the gavel on the House Oversight Committee. No pretense, no evidence—just raw political vengeance. From Elon Musk’s role in cutting government waste to Trump’s legal fights with Harvard and high-powered law firms, Crockett is already laying the groundwork to turn routine policy and legal disputes into impeachable offenses. Her comments make one thing unmistakably clear: Democrats are gearing up to use the power of Congress not for oversight, but for retaliation.

In a rare but resounding act of judicial sanity, the Supreme Court of the United States has delivered an 8-0 ruling that reins in one of the most abused weapons in the bureaucratic arsenal: environmental obstructionism. The case, Seven County Infrastructure Coalition v. In a time when green tape has been weaponized to stall or cancel everything from pipelines to housing, this decision marks a turning point—and it’s worth celebrating.

First the cliff notes version: There’s an important detail to remember. People are laughing at the long-range Russian bombers being left out in the open, vulnerable to attack. However, the bomber visibility is required as part of several nuclear agreements between the USA and Russia (SALT and START). Our U.S. long range nuclear capable bombers, covered under the same agreements, are also visible.
Ukraine President Zelenskyy is playing with fire by targeting them, which also explains why Zelenskyy never told President Trump in advance.
The U.S and NATO have provided the means. However, #1) did Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy just exploit a vulnerability by targeting Russian long-range nuclear capable bombers?

Now that Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson have published Original Sin, which confirms what most Americans already knew — that former President Joe Biden was cognitively unfit to carry out the duties of his office — the corporate media are attempting to deflect attention from their complicity in a dangerous cover up. The “original sin,” according to Tapper and Thompson, was Biden’s decision to run for reelection in 2024 and the dishonesty of his aides. A far more egregious sin, however, was the cover-up of Biden’s decline by countless journalists who refused to report the truth.
