Hundreds of peonies were vandalized at a University of Michigan garden at the peak of the flowers' bloom time. The vandalism happened late Saturday and was discovered Wednesday at the WE Upjohn Peony Garden in the Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum. The University of Michigan Division of Public Safety and Security said officers found that about 250 peony plants of the garden's roughly 800 peony plants had most of their flowers appear to have been intentionally cut and left behind on the ground, with the scene surprising both garden staff and visitors. University police say no group has been identified or taken credit for the vandalism, but

World leaders and organizations are learning quickly in the second Trump administration that things aren't business as usual when it comes to how they treat the U.S. and its allies.
Sure, when President Joe Biden was behind the Resolute Desk, they could say and do what they wanted willy-nilly. One of those orgs. that got the wrong message is the International Criminal Court (ICC).

It's been a mixed year for Second Amendment advocates, but on Thursday, came a significant win from the Supreme Court on that front. The Court announced a decision in "Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc., Et Al. Petitioners v. Estados Unidos Mexicanos." In this case, Mexico in effect sued American gun manufacturers for the plague of violence that is sweeping Mexico. The Supreme Court, in its decision, noted that Mexico's case runs afoul of the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, or PLCA.

Ed wrote a great piece this morning about the "reviews" of Karine Jean-Pierre's book, which is currently vaporware.
It's not the book that is the target of all this bile pouring forth, but Karine Jean-Pierre herself. After years of pent-up anger, the opportunity to strike out at her has attracted all comers. Ed's piece focused on the "external" reviews--Scott Jennings and Stephen A. Smith taking KJP apart. And they were hilarious. After all the "now it can be told" books basically ignored KJP's role in Biden Brain Boondoggle, the actual appearance of KJP has reminded people of why they hated her so much.
