WASHINGTON — Joe Biden was never diagnosed with prostate cancer until last week, and the last time he was screened for it was more than a decade ago, a spokesperson for the former president said Tuesday. “President Biden’s last known PSA was in 2014. Prior to Friday, President Biden had never been diagnosed with prostate cancer,” the spokesperson said. (Snip) In recent years, doctors have increasingly begun screening for the disease in older patients. President Donald Trump, 78, received a PSA screening as recently as this year, according to medical records released by the White House. Since he revealed his

Federal judges have recently halted a number of President Donald Trump’s executive orders and White House initiatives, setting off a firestorm of debate over how far judges’ power should go. As it turns out, most Americans of virtually all political persuasions think that judges should have the power to delay a president’s moves, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows.
In its April 30-May 2 national online poll of 1,400 voters, I&I/TIPP posed the following statement and question: “Federal district judges are appointed by the president, confirmed by the Senate, and serve lifetime terms. There are currently 677 such judges in the U.S.

MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace claimed Wednesday on “Deadline” that President Donald Trump humiliated the people of the United States during his Oval Office meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Wallace said, “Another day for the history books today from Donald J. Trump. An astonishing display from him in the White House today Donald Trump meeting with the president of South Africa and attempting to ambush and humiliate that leader inside the Oval Office. But what he did instead was embarrass and humiliate the people of the United States of America again, in his meeting with President Ramaphosa,

Congressional Republicans are the absolute worst, for many reasons, but this time, it has to do with the “big” and “beautiful” tax bill that’s working its way toward Donald Trump’s desk—Republicans, despite holding both houses, as well as the Oval Office, are set to retain hundreds of billions of dollars in Green New Deal provisions, if they get their way.[Snip] Mike Johnson, like the serpent he is, craftily he touted the “$500 billion” in cuts, but ignored the hundreds of billions he and his cohorts retained or worse, expanded:

Well, my my my. The Washington DC establishment sure seems determined to distance itself from the obvious media and political cover-up of the past four years. No one exemplifies that establishment as Sally Quinn does. Not only is Quinn the doyenne of DC 'society,' she also has a columnist gig at the Washington Post for decades. Quinn was married to legendary Post editor Ben Bradlee for 36 years until his death in 2014, and has long been a formidable figure in the nation's capital, both politically and socially.
So when Sally Quinn throws someone under a bus, it means something --

A favorite Lily Tomlin line was made for this moment: “No matter how cynical you get, it is impossible to keep up.”
She could have been talking about the Biden White House.
Those of us who were long convinced that aides were hiding the president’s cognitive decline weren’t cynical enough. We also needed to believe they were hiding other serious ailments, such as prostate cancer.
Hmm, what else didn’t we suspect that we should have?
Whatever it is, the odds are soaring that we are going to find out.

Megyn Kelly was tough but fair. It was a reckoning that was long overdue for an industry that did work to cover up Joe Biden’s apparent health issues. The mental health scheme was something we’ve been saying for years. A minor fall—okay? But the incidents where Joe Biden exhibited signs of aging, dementia, and a degrading memory are too numerous. Something was wrong. We were right, and the legacy press was wrong. This is often the case, but this one was the equivalent of no one noticing the elephant in the room. No, it was knowing the elephant was present

An effort to sink President Donald Trump’s pick to head the IRS found a Democrat senator closing with an allegation of recorded conversations.
Since the president’s return to the White House, the left has seemingly jumped at every opportunity to obstruct the America First agenda with lawsuits and delay tactics. Tuesday, as the Senate Finance Committee considered the nomination for IRS commissioner, ranking member Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden (D) saw fit to level an allegation in his closing remarks.
“Our staff investigators have on tape now, tax promoters saying you met with him at the inauguration and promised him a favorable private letter ruling,”

President Donald Trump forced the President of the Republic of South Africa to watch videos of the country’s leaders calling for the genocide of white farmers during a meeting in the Oval Office on Wednesday. South African president Cyril Ramaphosa visited Trump for a bilateral meeting as well as a private lunch. In the middle of their public conversation, Trump ordered his staff to dim the lights and play videos of “genocide in South Africa” for attendees of the meeting. The video montage showed different clips of political leaders from the minority party in South Africa calling for killing the Boers...

Several years ago, I was getting ready to travel to Austin, Texas, for a conference. Just out of curiosity, I looked into getting there by train. Amtrak was the only option, of course.
My trip to Austin would take 36 hours, and the route was something like Atlanta to Washington to Chicago to Austin. It would also cost twice as much as flying. Needless to say, Amtrak was totally out as an option.
Despite its impracticality and expense, the left loves to romanticize train travel. I think much of it because left-wing media types all live in the Acela corridor, where passenger rail infrastructure is plentiful.

Democratic Rep. Gerry Connolly of Virginia has died at the age of 75 after a battle with esophageal cancer, his family said in a statement Wednesday. “It is with immense sadness that we share that our devoted and loving father, husband, brother, friend, and public servant, Congressman Gerald E. Connolly, passed away peacefully at his home this morning surrounded by family,” read a statement posted on Connolly’s X account. Connolly served as the top Democrat on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform until late last month, when he said he would step down because his cancer had returned.
