Older adults are being warned against receiving the chikungunya vaccine before traveling. The Ixchiq vaccination, developed by Valneva to prevent the mosquito-borne chikungunya virus, was approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in November 2023 as the first of its kind. The approval applies to anyone aged 18 and older who has a risk of being exposed to the virus. But the FDA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a safety notice on May 9 recommending that adults over 60 years old pause use of the vaccine due to fatal complications. FDA and CDC will continue the evaluation of post-marketing safety reports for Ixchiq,"

I used to think anti-vaxxers were nuts until the mRNA "vaccine" came along. Now, for all intents and purposes, I've joined them. I refuse to take any vaccine unless it completely prevents a disease. I don't believe the "less severe case" nonsense peddled by big pharma, and I don't trust their testing methods.

I had the early shingles vaccine. I asked my doctor whether I should take the shingrix vaccine and he said the degree of protection it offers is not worth it since I have had the older shot.

I took the Moderna vax a few years ago at the insistence of my children (you are old, dad, and Covid will kill you). Still got it anyway. Not fun for a couple of days but then fine. Wish I hadn't even taken those. Childhood vaccines like polio, diphtheria, smallpox etc. were effective and well worth it. The covid vaccines were forced on everybody, even our military, and are still killing people today. Seems like our gullible sheep-like and foolish populace panicked when it first came out, and it was considered to be worse than the black plague...masks everywhere even on people driving alone, 10 feet apart, businesses being closed and going broke etc. It was or could be deadly, but our response was overwrought and provided the deep state a reason to seize more power.

President Trump previously stated that Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and U.S. emissaries Steve Witkoff and Keith Kellogg would be traveling to Turkey as part of the U.S. support group to assist in negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. However, the Kremlin has announced the delegation that will represent Russia’s interests and President Vladimir Putin is not attending. Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously said he would be attending the negotiations, yet doubted Russian President Putin would be present. It appears that prediction by Zelenskyy is accurate. The Kremlin announcement IS HERE.

In an interview on CNN on Wednesday, Democrat Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) was called out for helping to cover up former President Joe Biden’s rapid cognitive decline while in office.CNN host Wolf Blitzer opened up the questioning by pointing out that Biden did not recognize left-wing actor and activist George Clooney at a fundraiser that he was hosting for the president. "Why should voters trust Democrats when it's clear so many in your party went to great lengths to keep Biden's condition hidden from the public?" Blitzer asked.

The Supreme Court on May 15 grappled with how far federal judges could go in issuing sweeping blocks on policies such as President Donald Trump’s order restricting birthright citizenship. Their comments came during oral argument over the administration’s request that the high court remove three nationwide injunctions on Trump’s order. Those nationwide blocks are among the many issued by federal judges that have halted a range of Trump administration policies.U.S. Solicitor General D. John Sauer, who argued for the Trump administration, told the justices that nationwide injunctions had been used in ways that exceeded judges’ authority under Article III of the

In the weeks surrounding President Trump’s inauguration, America’s propaganda press relentlessly cited leftist claims that 15,000 trans-identifying individuals would be booted from the military under the new commander-in-chief. The insinuation, of course, was that such a move would harm “military readiness” and the country’s national security. In a statement to The Federalist, a Defense Department official said that, as of February, there are “approximately 4,200 Active-duty, Guard and Reserve service members currently serving diagnosed with gender dysphoria” throughout the armed forces. The total is roughly the same that was announced by the agency in February.

If you don’t care whether children come to class, you don’t care if they learn at all — and that’s what New York City’s regular public-school system has come to. Public-school teacher Mike Dowd’s damning column in Friday’s Post confirmed our worst fears about the sad state of the system. A third of students in Department of Education schools, more than 300,000, are chronically absent — and uncounted others miss much of the school day. Teachers aren’t allowed to penalize kids for skipping class thanks to “reforms” made in the name of “equity” under Mayor Bill de Blasio that have continued under Mayor Eric Adams.

It’s a sad day in America when the chief justice of the U.S. Supreme Court ignores the basic framework of the Constitution he’s supposed to interpret. That’s what happened on Wednesday, when Chief Justice John Roberts took it upon himself to subtly thumb his nose at President Trump and conservatives (snip) … the judiciary is a co-equal branch of government, separate from the others, with the authority to interpret the Constitution as law and strike down, obviously, acts of Congress or acts of the president. That innovation doesn’t work if … the judiciary’s not independent. Its job is to, obviously, decide cases, but in the course of that, check the excesses

Pope Leo XIV, the newly-elected leader of the Catholic Church, previously opposed the promotion of gender theory while serving as Bishop of Chiclayo in Peru. According to the New York Times, the Holy Father previously “opposed a government plan to add teachings on gender in schools.” “The promotion of gender ideology is confusing, because it seeks to create genders that don’t exist,” he told local news media at the time. The pope’s statements stand in line with his predecessor, Pope Francis, who repeatedly denounced gender ideology as an attack on children. In 2024, Pope Francis even referred to gender ideology as one of the ugliest ideologies of modern times, per the Vatican News.

The resolution itself involves the U.S. spending “trillions” on reparations for black Americans. We should be the ones who are shaping it,” Lee said, enraged that President Donald Trump ended many diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) measures with the “stroke of a pen.”

Nearly two dozen Tren de Aragua gangbangers in an ICE detention center in Texas have barricaded themselves and threatened to take hostages in a major uprising — days after migrants spelled out “SOS” in the prison yard. Members of the Venezuelan gang threatened to hold ICE officers captive and injure them on April 26 as they barricaded the doors of their unit with their cots, covered surveillance cameras, blocked windows, and flooded the unit by clogging the toilets, according to the Department of Homeland Security. The takeover attempt lasted “several hours,” with the detainees ignoring the orders of ICE agents.

The U.S. and China agreed earlier this week to lower their respective reciprocal tariffs for 90 days as they look to end a bruising trade war

California Governor Gavin Newsom said Wednesday he wants the state to stop enrolling more low-income illegal immigrants in a state-funded health care program, beginning next year. Under Newsom’s plan, the state would not end coverage for illegal immigrants who are already enrolled in Medi-Cal, the state’s Medicaid program. However, the state would begin charging adults with “unsatisfactory immigrant status” a monthly premium of $100 beginning in 2027. Newsom’s announcement comes after the governor previously said in March he was not considering rolling back health benefits for low-income illegal immigrants, even as the state contended with a $6.2 billion Medicaid shortfall.
