President Donald Trump says he will appoint Fox News host and former prosecutor Jeanine Pirro as interim U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia. Trump announced the pick in a post on Truth Social. The selection comes as Trump told reporters in the Oval Office Thursday that Ed Martin, who is currently serving as D.C.'s interim top prosecutor, would not be taking the position permanently after losing support among top Republicans in the Senate.

By rejecting Ed Martin, we now have proof there are GOP senators who are compromised - and may be on the DOJ's radar for various crimes committed. Don't be surprised if Pirro doesn't get confirmed either. Both party's want one of their DC insiders in that position. Trump must not bow down.

#4, #15: You should get used to Fox employees leaving the channel for greener pastures. Most of these people have little to nothing in common with the RINO Paul Ryan, who now runs the ship at Fox and whose last job seemed to be to take orders from Nancy Pelosi while he was Speaker. Fox's news reporters are still good, but after what happened to Tucker Carlson, their talking heads and news analysis people must all know that their heads might be served on platters to the left with little to no notice. It would be wise for all of them -- and yes that includes Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham -- to identify greener pastures of their own and migrate there.

Some 110 days after the inauguration of President Donald J. Trump, and we are still unwrapping wonderful, delightful and oh so loved Christmas packages. I must echo other posters, another great and brilliant move by Trump. If they, the deep state, democrats and scummy Tom Tillis's of the world thought Ed Martin was going to be a problem hang on to your hats ladies and gentlemen. Jeanine Pirro, just like Trump has reached the pinnacle of her career, is likely financially independent, so she has no fear about doing exactly what needs to be done. She ain't buckin' for some other gig. I just can't stop smiling with this brilliant appointment. Thank you again and again, Mr. President.

I enjoyed watching The Five when it was first on the air. Then they put Juan Williams on and I stopped watching for several yrs. When Juan finally left and Judge Jeanine was added I began watching again. Without the Judge I will probably not watch. Can't bear listening to Jessica Tarlov without Judge Jeanine putting her in her place. I also enjoy Dana Perino, very smart and Greg Gutfield, very funny. I disagree with much of Harold Ford's opinions but he is very likable. Judge Jeanine is a wonderful choice for US Attorney

All things considered, Jeanine Pirro is outstanding. My only misgiving is that she's 73 years old. I hope she still has the energy she needs to perform this intense job the way she needs to--and, I am confident--she desires to. I used to hear everyone say how terrific Rudy Giuliani would be as attorney general six years ago, or as Trump's lawyer four years ago. Turns out, Rudy was past his prime, was drinking too much, and needed lots of help from junior attorneys to keep him from stumbling into legal ditches.

President Donald Trump is confronting the dragon behind the panda mask with precision. It’s very obvious the prior reconnaissance, trade probes and tariff tests of ’17, ’18, ’19, are paying dividends. President Trump has cut off the transnational shipping lanes by globalizing the tariffs against China. Pope Leo XIV, the newly-elected leader of the Catholic Church, previously opposed the promotion of gender theory while serving as Bishop of Chiclayo in Peru. According to the New York Times, the Holy Father previously “opposed a government plan to add teachings on gender in schools.” “The promotion of gender ideology is confusing, because it seeks to create genders that don’t exist,” he told local news media at the time. The pope’s statements stand in line with his predecessor, Pope Francis, who repeatedly denounced gender ideology as an attack on children. In 2024, Pope Francis even referred to gender ideology as one of the ugliest ideologies of modern times, per the Vatican News.

On Monday President Donald Trump floated the idea that illegal aliens who voluntarily self-deport could be given a chance to come back legally, as though the only issue is mass illegal immigration. But this position represents a dangerous misdiagnosis of the real problem. It’s not that illegal immigration is a problem simply because it’s, well, illegal. Mass migration — whether legal or illegal — is national suicide. The sheer volume of foreign arrivals reshapes the country in ways no election can reverse and no bureaucratic process can fix. A nation isn’t just laws — a nation is its people, its culture, and its identity.

The new law, which will take effect on July 27, eliminates the long-standing confidentiality of the confessional, forcing Catholic leaders and lawmakers into a highly charged standoff over religious liberty and child protection.
