The Harry Potter franchise is one of the most iconic in cinematic history. The record-setting book series stole the hearts of many on the big screen from the years 2001-2011. A major part of its success was the cast of characters, specifically Harry, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley. Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint as Harry, Hermione, and Ron are examples of some of the best child actor casting ever in Hollywood. Yes, Warner Bros. Discovery officially announced on April 12 that a new Max Original is in the works, rebooting the Harry Potter franchise.

Comments:

This silly idea doesn't have a chance in Hogwarts of getting off the ground. I'm surprised that J.K. Rowling went along with it.

Hopefully they recast all the straight white people so it'll be as successful as Snow White.

Snape was described in the books as pale, sallow, with long, stringy, hair. So now he’s a black guy?

When the U.S. government first rolled out forgivable loans to small businesses in early April under the Paycheck Protection Program, loan officers at Bank of the West in Grapevine, Texas worked nights and weekends to process a tsunami of applications. But since those first few frantic weeks, demand has “just dried up,” said bank president Cindy Blankenship. On May 15 the bank stopped taking applications for PPP loans.

Why is Europe going through a heatwave? 15 replies

Why is it so hot? Partly, it’s just the luck of the weather. The jet stream – the west-to-east winds that play a big role in determining Europe’s weather – has been further north than usual for about two months. A stationary high-pressure weather system has left the UK and much of continental Europe sweltering. Iceland, by contrast, has been hit with clouds and storms that would normally come further south. “The current hot and dry spell in the UK is partly due a combination of North Atlantic ocean temperatures, climate change and the weather,” said Len Shaffrey, a professor of climate science at the University of Reading.

We all saw the rumblings of this for years. Democrats want to destroy the Second Amendment, create gun registries, and eventually confiscate firearms. It won’t happen in a couple of years, of course. This is the long game. Emboldened by their state-level victories in Vermont and Florida, in which the anti-gun Left was able to increase the age to purchase all firearms to 21. In Vermont, they even got Republican (and at the time pro-NRA) Gov. Phil Scott to sign off on magazine limits.

Michelle Obama is complaining again, and this time it’s about how “expensive” it was living in the White House while her husband was president. The 61-year-old former first lady discussed her woes during an appearance this week on “The Diary of a CEO” podcast. “How do you raise kids in the White House? It’s dangerous,” Obama said. “As the first black potential president, we knew there would be death threats … how would we afford it? Because it’s expensive to live in the White House, as many people don’t know.” “I mean, much is not covered,” she continued. “You’re paying for every food, every bit of food that you eat, you know,

In a shocking display of unchecked political hostility, a Maine high school teacher has openly called for the Secret Service to “take out” President Donald Trump and members of his administration. This dangerous rhetoric, which would be unthinkable if aimed at any other president, underscores the growing culture of violence and intolerance on the left. In a series of Facebook posts, JoAnna St. Germain, an English teacher at Waterville High School in Maine, wrote that she believes “Trump and every sycophant he has surrounded himself with needs to die.” She then compared the president to Adolf Hitler

Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson slammed "relentless attacks" on judges, adding that they are "designed to intimidate." Jackson didn't mention President Trump by name in her comments Thursday, but said she was addressing “the elephant in the room,” likely referring to calls for impeachment of judges by him and others amid blocks on Trump's policies, Politico reported. “The attacks are not random. They seem designed to intimidate those of us who serve in this critical capacity,” Jackson said at a judges’ conference in Puerto Rico. “The threats and harassment are attacks on our democracy, on our system of government.

A few days ago, a clip with Michelle Obama from her podcast 'IMO with Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson' raised a few eyebrows. Michelle says the following to an unseen individual: "You're being a role model for dealing with a child that's transgender... That warms my heart, particularly as a black man." Was this an inadvertent confession of what some have always claimed? But before the word 'scandal' could be pronounced, the community notes on X revealed the facts. Michelle Obama was talking to actor Marlon Wayans, and her following is the entire question: "And, you know, that warms my heart. Particularly as a Black man, um, you know,

Spring is in full throttle, with summer just around the corner. Around this time, events around me inevitably trigger the same two recurring questions, like clockwork, year after year after year. And the questions are these: Why do these teenage girls' parents let them leave the house dressed like NFL cheerleaders? Am I going to have to spend another summer weaving my car around rude bicyclists who think they own the road? It is this second question I'm currently pondering, as I witnessed earlier in the day some poor sap driving a car, stuck behind a gaggle of inconsiderate male bicyclists (the rude ones are always men),

The depraved deviant who allegedly raped a corpse on a Manhattan subway train for 30 minutes is an illegal immigrant who crossed into the US from Mexico at least five times before finally getting locked up over the sick act, The Post has exclusively learned. Felix Rojas, 44, unlawfully crossed the US-Mexico border “on several occasions” in the late 1990s before being caught by Border Patrol agents and voluntarily turning back, an ICE spokesperson revealed. But Rojas apparently crossed the border at least one more time and remained undetected by immigration authorities until NYPD cops arrested him Sunday night in connection to the shocking defilement of 37-year-old family man Jorge Gonzalez,

The calls for violence are growing louder and louder by the day. The agitators are calling for the assassination of public figures and elected officials; they are calling for acts of insurrection by federal and local law enforcement. These are actions that would very likely prompt a second civil war, but the agitators have no thought of that, or, on the few occasions when they register that possibility, seem somehow to think that their side would win. The people making these calls for violence are, of course, all members of the "progressive" left. Jonathan Turley recently penned an interesting piece on those people.

Washington — A federal judge ruled Friday that President Trump's executive order targeting the law firm Perkins Coie is unconstitutional and permanently blocked the administration from enforcing it. In a 102-page decision, U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell ruled in favor of the firm and said Mr. Trump's directive that sought to punish it sent the message that "lawyers must stick to the party line, or else." "Using the powers of the federal government to target lawyers for their representation of clients and avowed progressive employment policies in an overt attempt to suppress and punish certain viewpoints, however, is contrary to the Constitution, which requires that the government respond to dissenting
