Four months after losing the 2024 election to President Donald Trump, Harris led the competition in the survey in a mock 2028 Democratic primary and the results were not close. Harris, who has not announced any intention to seek another presidential nomination, led a pack of 19 candidates with the support of 36%. The Democrats are too busy being angry about President Trump to form a cogent strategy. They only pick Kommie-la because she's the most visible victim of TDS. The Republicans will have an open primary season in 2028 with DeSantis and possibly Vance as ambitious, capable candidates. They will eat her lunch and send her home with a wedgie.

#9 Had it not been for Ross Perot, Bush Sr. would have won in a land slide. Clinton got 43% of the popular vote. Every time you rue the day the Clintons rose to prominence in American political life you should thank Ross Perot and his oversized ears and ego for "Bill Clinton" not being a never guessed answer to a trivia night at a pizza restaurant. It was not that Clinton was that good. It was that Perot siphoned off at least 15% of the vote from Bush.

WASHINGTON — The dustup over the future of the Democratic Party and how lawmakers should blunt President Donald Trump’s grip on Washington showed little signs of abating this week, with Sen. John Fetterman, of Pennsylvania, still playing a central role. Former Democratic Congressman Conor Lamb, who finished second to Mr. Fetterman in the state’s 2022 Senate primary, accused the senator on Friday of “collaborating with — rather than fighting” the president and his Republican Party, which controls both chambers of Congress. Senate Democrats are bracing for a painful post-mortem as they try to avoid a September rerun of their latest government funding defeat. Chuck Schumer, the Senate minority leader, and nine of his members helped get a House GOP-authored government funding bill to the finish line, saying a vote to advance legislation they loathed was the least bad option.
