FIRST ON FOX: President Donald Trump's administration’s use of Elon Musk's DOGE to cut USAID spending is having a deep impact on the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS), according to internal U.N. emails shared with Fox News Digital. ...president of the U.N. Field Staff Union, Milan Victor Dawoh wrote that the USAID funding cut resulted in "approximately $30 million" having been "removed from the extra-budgetary (XB) resources, resulting in a significant reduction in staffing." [Snip] A U.N. source speaking on condition of anonymity said that in the midst of financial uncertainty, U.N. staff " are very fearful of their immediate future."

Wow, an opening for them to leave the US and set up housekeeping somewhere else. Too big, too expensive, too snooty, too useless. Can't remember the last time they did or said anything that was actually useful. Their original purpose was admirable but they did not or could not live up to their goals so it ended up just "show us the money" and don't worry what we do with it.

Inevitable outcome when the U.N. changed from an agent of peace, to a conduit for global welfare payments. Eventually you run out of other people's money.

The UN leeches better start packing their bags. The U.S. taxpayer is done paying their bills and being stabbed in the back.

I don't see the downside in reducing the number of useless people at the useless UN. The "liquidity crisis" looks much like a win for US Taxpayers.

Extra budgetary resources???
That sounds like the bribery, corruption, theft and cousin needs a no-show job "extra" budget on top of the standard bribery, corruption, eft, and cousin needs a no-show job normal budget.

While we might "have" to support our kids living in our basement, we do NOT have to support the UN who is continually attacking the US and continually following Leftists. If they want to support the Left, let the Left pay their bills for them. Oops, a problem, those on the Left are broke. Too bad. So sad.
We need and deserve the money more than the UN does.

It's Closing time! You don't have to go home but you can't stay here!
Why are we hosting the UN and paying for a lot of it. Many of the member Nations hate us, and have vowed to kill us and our allies as well as take over this Nation. LEAVE!

Guess we know where our tax dollars went. Boot the UN out of NY and turn the building into a homeless shelter for American citizens and veterans. I think the Trump Organization could have it up and running in a short time.

Yeah, probably 10 positions, with each pulling down $3 million in salary, limousine and driver, and other "perks."

Some suggested austerity measures: Haul their butts around in Chevys instead of limos. The members can bring their own hookers with them, those New York girls no doubt cost a fortune. African members can wear their tribal robes instead of Armani suits. Serve McDonalds in the dining room instead of steak and lobster. What do they actually do around the world? We have been getting reports of their blue-helmeted soldiers raping women all across Africa since the 1970s. Nearly every country there and across the Middle East is going through constant wars and revolutions. They obviously do no good for the world. Netanyahu will not let them into Gaza because he's smarter than that.

I hope before the next presidential election, the UN gets offended enough that they pick up and move. But you and I know they'll never do it. We could put that beautiful emerald green granite to better us. And perhaps the Turtles could come back to the Bay. (A little geographical humor for the punsters among us.)

Maybe Elon and staff could publish - on a weekly basis - a listing of all the ludicrous people, places and things that will no longer receive U.S. taxpayers' money. Initially, they'll have to publish a listing of all who have already been taken off the Christmas list. I get weary of family and friends telling me how DOGE will be responsible for libraries and universities and museums and all other good stuff being closed. Of course, the naysayers only watch or listen to fake media, or are people who were on the Christmas list and are no longer.

How sweet it is!!...the UN has been jerking US around for years...get them out of America and let them function somewhere in the Middle East...perhaps Iran would be a good destination for the corrupt UN politicians....they can operate on a slim budget paid for by the global oligarchs ...I love that idea...it's been a long time coming...and WE the people are finished with the hypocrasy and votes against US...WE don't need their permission to exist...WE are America....

Aw, shucks, you mean these hard-working traitors to the US have to pay for NY street hookers out of their own pockets? Perhaps they may have to pay for double parking in front of the strumpets' houses with their own money. Get out the Kleenex and send the UN trash back to Africa where it belongs. The UN membership will suddenly drop to a dozen members if that many.

The amount being talked about is $20 million or $30 million depending on who is talking. This is less than 1% of what the UN spends in a year. Yet the UN folks are talking like the loss of this small amount threatens the future existence of the UN. When asked to explain how this is such a disaster, they have given no details. The UN has given more than this amount to Hamas in Gaza.
