The Long Shadow of Hillary Clinton

While one cannot blame all of the world’s problems on the former first lady and senator, much of the trouble in Ukraine is related to her actions. Volodymyr Zelensky was once a comedian. One of the hallmarks of great comedians is their ability to read the room. When my high school had a very ugly and contentious merger with its sister school (New Trier East and West), a traveling group from Second City came to perform. One of the comedians was asked about the merger, which had made its way into the local papers.

While Hillary's awfulness cannot be disputed, now she is a bug hiding under a log chewing on dead leaves. She has no power or influence except among those clinger ons who also have no power or influence. The KEY POINT that Trump took away from the meltdown meeting is that Zelensky CANNOT be a partner in any peace efforts. PERIOD. Even if he "says" he wants to make nice, he will almost certainly sabotage the process in some way. The process will require a lot of delicate negotiating and all Zelensky would have to do, and almost certainly would do, is throw a little snark and it will all come apart. To try to negotiate with Zelensky at the table, thug that he is, is pointless. Neither is Trump going to give Zelensky any more support. No money, no weapons, no "security guarantees, no political coverage, nada. Europe cannot do much without the US. Zelensky has put himself into a death spiral and my guess will be that a, "Zelensky is the problem", message will be quietly passed to Ukraine leadership behind the scenes. Maybe the Ukrainians will do something, maybe not. A year from now, Zelensky will be in exile somewhere and Ukraine will be defeated. They will crawl to the negotiating table and get crumbs, at best, and the war will be over. Europe will have little interest in funding rebuilding in Ukraine, since their own houses are in disarray. Trump will put together an aid package with significant restrictions. Ukraine will take a LONG time to recover. Putin will lick his wounds and bounce back as a 3rd tier player against a resurgent America. Europe will continue to degenerate and face significant internal turmoil.

Hillary has done much damage to this country. And she has gotten away with it. Media still runs to her every time she lets loose with one of her attacks. She has sold her soul for political power and now she has no power and is soul less.

Th Hildebeast sold her soul and will not face any penalties in this life. The one blessing is that this life will not last forever, and hers is likely quite short because of her advanced age. I would love to be a fly on the wall when the demons arrive for their payment.

When Bill Clinton was first elected I remember talking with a friend from Arkansas who is also a judge there. She told me that the Clinton’s are like an amoebic intestinal disease. They come on suddenly and turn your world upside down until they run their course. If they ever are completely eradicated the collateral damage can be significant and ongoing.

Hillary was like a fully-loaded B-52, leaving a long trail of destruction in her wake. One can only imagine the state of the world today if the Russia-Russia scheme had worked and she had won the 2016 election. Libya, Haiti, and a long trail of family enemies going all the way back to Arkansas are all notches on her size 48 belt. I believe her downfall was perpetrated by the soldiers who fought so well at Benghazi, Kris Paronto, John Tiegen, Tyrone Woods. Mark Geist and Glen Doherty who are unsung American heroes. All were supposed to die. The CIA presence there would have been successfully covered up and Obama and Hillary would have emerged squeaky clean. She escaped that crime and still maintains billions of misplaced dollars in the Clinton Foundation, which is now managed by her whelp of a daughter who has had more cosmetic surgery than Hillary has had. When this woman expires I will save for her half the contents of my bladder while saving the other half for that hollywood witch who perched herself on the AA gun in Hanoi and caused American POWs to be executed.

Censorship isn’t always loud. Sometimes, it moves in silence, disguised as diplomacy, business deals, or “cultural sensitivity.” It happens in places like China or Iran, until suddenly, it’s standing at your own front door, deciding what you can see, hear, and say. That’s exactly what is happening right now in the United States as the Chinese Communist Party wages an aggressive war, not with tanks or missiles, but with threats, pressure, and censorship, all aimed at silencing a dance performance.I know this because I’ve lived it. I was born in Iran, where history isn’t just rewritten, it’s erased.

It has been seven days of watching the press corps of this country continuing to lose its grip on the national narratives, and flailing as a result. It also makes things slightly difficult this week; deciding which outlets descended to the lowest depths was a bit of a challenge. But one did manage to distinguish itself--with the outlet's inner turmoil made public and many of its names becoming disposable. As I said, there were many, other outlets vying for inclusion. In recent remarks at a recent hearing at the Congressional Iran Human Rights and Democracy Caucus, the Iranian opposition leader Maryam Rajavi observed that “the situation of the Iranian society is explosive” and that Iran’s theocratic dictatorship “has never been so weak and fragile” since it was established in the wake of the 1979 revolution. Even as she offered his assessment to Congress, the White House was in the process of actively implementing a renewed strategy of “maximum pressure” on the Iranian regime, which promises to increase its fragility even further.

And yet, North Korea, that isolated Stalinist regime run by a stunted little gargoyle with bad hair from a long line of stunted little gargoyles with bad hair, has recently received the first group of tourists since the country was locked down during the COVID-19 panic.

National Security Advisor Mike Waltz appears on CNN to outline how the U.S. team no longer sees Volodymyr Zelenskyy as a man who can lead his nation to a place of peace. Waltz notes that at a certain point there are going to be negotiations and discussions about Ukraine territory that Zelenskyy is going to need to face with pragmatic honesty. However, at the current state of conflict Zelenskyy is intransigent toward any ceasefire agreement that does not include U.S. troops on the ground as a “security guarantee.”

The Jordanians and Lebanese, for their part, have not forgotten how Palestinians sparked civil wars in their countries in the 70s and 80s. [The Arab countries'] refusal to take in Palestinian prisoners probably arises from the fact that these countries actually do not care about the Palestinians and even consider them an ungrateful people and troublemakers. Many Arabs also seem to have lost faith in the Palestinians' ability to implement reform and end rampant financial and administrative corruption in their governing bodies in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

American liberals are, for the most part, completely unfamiliar with self-awareness and honesty. That's what makes the late New Yorker film critic Pauline Kael's somewhat infamous — and often misquoted — response to Richard Nixon's landslide victory in 1972 all the more stunning. In a speech shortly after the '72 election, Kael said, "I live in a rather special world. I only know one person who voted for Nixon. Where they are, I don't know. They're outside my ken." When I was just a lad, Kael perfectly described what I would begin referring to as the Coastal Media Bubble™ more than half a century later.

General Dan Caine — the newly nominated chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff — got tapped for his new position after becoming a favorite of President Donald Trump during a meeting with him in Iraq in 2018. Since that warzone meeting, Trump has repeatedly praised Caine, who served as the deputy commander of the special operations task force, which was then fighting the Islamic State. Trump called the three-star general “instrumental” in the “complete annihilation of the ISIS caliphate” in a Truth Social post Friday — harping on Caine’s reputation as a “warfighter.” Caine’s successful stint in Iraq, which lasted from 2018-2019, made a strong impression on the president,

Reading these headlines from The Wall Street Journal, "Trump’s Attack on Zelensky Signals New World Order Taking Shape," and MSNBC, "Trump and his MAGA subordinates are ushering in a new world order," you are supposed to believe Trump is destroying the world — again. The latest iteration of Trump’s transgressions is prompted by his administration’s direct negotiations with the Russians to end the war in Ukraine. Contrary to the foreign policy blob, ending the war in Ukraine would be a crucial step toward restoring global stability and would better position the United States to address the primary challenge to international order — China — which directly impacts U.S. interests.

The vote was almost entirely along party lines, with Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) being the lone GOP holdout: The Democrat proposals, let's be honest, were delaying tactics; they had essentially zero chance of inclusion in the GOP-controlled Senate. The budget resolution clears the path for $340 billion in spending--$175 billion is marked for border and immigration enforcement, while $150 billion would go to Pete Hegseth's Department of Defense.

The Biden presidency might have been the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the American people. A shocking investigation by the Heritage Foundation's Oversight Project has revealed that virtually every document bearing Joe Biden's signature during his presidency was signed by an autopen — except for one. What makes this revelation particularly damning is that the only document confirmed to have Biden's actual signature was his letter announcing his withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race. Let that sink in for a moment. Remember when House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) revealed his discussion with Biden when Biden couldn't recall signing the executive order halting LNG exports?

Cairo—The Hamas militant group on Thursday brushed off President Donald Trump’s latest threat and reiterated that it will only free the remaining Israeli hostages in exchange for a lasting ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. Hamas accused Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of trying to back out of the ceasefire agreement they reached in January. The agreement calls for negotiations over a second phase in which the hostages would be released in exchange for more Palestinian prisoners, a permanent ceasefire and an Israeli withdrawal from Gaza. Hamas spokesman Abdel-Latif al-Qanoua said the “best path to free the remaining Israeli hostages” is through negotiations on that phase, which were supposed to begin
