You love to see it.
President Trump on Thursday stripped security clearances of the employees at DNC law firm Perkins Coie.
Recall that Hillary Clinton and the DNC paid law firm Perkins Coie more than $1 million to hire oppo research firm Fusion GPS to peddle the bogus ‘Trump-Russia’ dossier during the 2016 election.
Former British spy Christopher Steele compiled over a dozen memos alleging the Russians had blackmail on Trump and that his associates were conspiring with the Kremlin to win the 2016 election.

Why should former cabinet officials and members of law firms have security clearances in the first place? What need do they have to know classified info?

#3, if they do any goverment work, file lawsuits against the government, represent government employees, etc., they most likely need some type of clearance (I would assume the level of clearance would depend on the law work being done). By pulling their clearances, they can no longer do this type of law work without trying to get their clearances back (good luck with that). I had to have a low level clearance for one of my IT contract jobs many years ago - it was a security thing at that time, not that I saw classified documents.

Make sure and remove that FBI Terminal in their building that allowed access to Federal classified databases.

Maybe there is reason, but I do not understand why security clearances are handed out like candy. Lawyers, ex-government employees, unelected representatives and the haters do not need access to confidential data.

Losing a security clearance for cause is a big, big deal. Perkins Coie will lose a significant income stream and that’ll leave a bloody gaping wound. They have proven themselves corrupt so it couldn’t happen too soon.

I'm glad to see this, but I'm still bothered by the man at the root of this, who will apparently evade justice: Mr Steele himself, who knew he was creating a vile pile of slander against another human being. I don't know if there are sufficient laws on the books to get him extradited from the UK to face trial, but it would serve the cause of justice for him to spend several years in a place like Supermax, where his life would be in danger every day from the other inmates. I see that as justice, considering the danger that PDJT has had to live through...
Perhaps Kier Starmer will find a way to extradite him... if he is interested in maintaining the "special relationship" ...

I'm so accustomed to reading about these powerful firms' latest skullduggery on behalf of the Democrat Party, that it seems inconceivable that they are being chastened in any way. Perkins Coie has more than 1,000 attorneys and makes hundreds of millions of dollars a year. Their business involving the government will take a hit, but I wonder if they'll just associate with lawyers who do have clearances and thereby manage to keep handling their big government cases. This is going to be interesting to watch.

Another aside--the article uses the words "Democratic Party", I am so pleased to see all of the posters here use the term "democrat party" since it is just the name of the party and not the description of the party which is fully not in favor of democratic policies, hence not democratic.

I'm with poster #2...why did this law firm have security clearance...it doesn't make sense....unless...someone who works at this firm was once a government employee and was hired by this law firm to feed them information...off with their clearance....and I suspect...their jobs...they have outlived their usefulness ...isn't this how Washington DC operates????...President Trump is in OUR White House...and all is right with the World....

I was delayed in receiving Secret security clearances for at least two jobs where they slow-walked the process so much that I went elsewhere. I guess the Top Secret clearance followed by several codewords that I held in the Navy was not good enough. It's mostly a joke these days anyway.
