As a lifelong Democrat, I never imagined I would watch my own party embarrass itself so thoroughly — and so publicly — as it did during Tuesday’s joint session of Congress. From obnoxious booing to childish protest signs to a sitting member of Congress having to be physically removed from the chamber, Democrats turned what should have been a solemn, dignified event into a bad reality show. And for what? To go viral on TikTok? To book a slot on MSNBC to brag about their “resistance”? Nothing was more disgraceful than when my colleagues refused to stand or clap when 13-year-old DJ Daniel, a brain-cancer survivor, was made an honorary Secret Service agent.

The author contends that the Democrat party used to be the party that cheered the underdog. And they did cheer - AT the underdog. Just like they cheered at lynchings, cross burnings, dog and fire hose attacks, slave whippings, retrieval of runaway slaves, the betrayal of Native Americans, etc. And now they cheer the mutilation of children and the abandonment of allies in the face of Islamic monsters. Their bitter ugly faces st the State of the Union says all anyone needs to know about the condition of their souls.

I grew up in a household that felt that FDR was godlike, so everyone in the household was democrat They lived through the great depression which influenced their thinking. So, I knew I should be a democrat. I voted democrat to include Jimmy Carter the first time.. Then there was the night that Carter gave a "fireside address" to the nation on our energy crisis, just like FDR was famous for. He even sat beside a fireplace and wore a sweater. He told us that we had an energy shortage and that we would have to turn down the thermostat and wear sweaters in our home during winter months. We also had to wait in long lines for our gasoline rationing. That "fireside chat" was my turning point as I felt that this is the USA, and not a third world nation. Our government should be able to supply the energy we needed, not to tell us we have to have to learn to live by lower standards. I reflected on the high interest on credit cards and mortgages, high unemployment, and low wages and decided to join the wave that brought Ronald Reagan to the White House. I started to pay attention to politics and realized that I was a conservative. I am glad that I was enlightened about the democrats decades ago--long before they became the bat-poop crazies they are today. Now I never cast a vote for a democrat, be they a candidate at the local, state, or national level. At 80 years of age, I plan to vote republican for the remainder of my life, but am concerned that I might start casting a vote for the democrat candidate when I am deceased.

As irritating as these cretins are to watch I’m personally hoping that they keep right on doing it. They’ve blatantly turned against the voters and tax payers to champion open borders, endless wars, transgender so-called rights over actual women, stopping wasteful fraudulent spending of our money, and a host of other issues. They are stubbornly taking the side of the 20%. People need to be reminded of this every day.

#10~ Outstanding post! The closing sentence was sheer delight Thank you! Can relate to growing up in a household that held FDR in high esteem but did make an exception when it came to voting for President Eisenhower. Personally, following graduation and exposure to the real world and politics, registered as a Republican. While disappointed with Republicans at times, it is the political party that far exceeds the essence of Democrats.

Air Force F-16 fighter jets scrambled Sunday to intercept aircraft that entered the airspace over President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida — the second time that’s happened in 48 hours, NORAD says. A civilian aircraft flew into the no-fly zone over the property at around 1:15 p.m. Sunday, according to a statement. The fighter jets fired flares to warn the pilots to move out of the area, the military said. The aircraft was then escorted out of the area.

A Palestinian activist who led the disruptive protests at both Columbia University and Barnard College has been arrested by ICE agents at his campus apartment, according to his lawyer. Mahmoud Khalil, who completed his graduate studies at Ivy League Columbia in December, also potentially faces having his visa revoked and his green card canceled following President Trump’s crackdown on unrest at colleges, attorney Amy Greer said Sunday. He was inside his university-owned apartment a few blocks from campus Saturday night when ICE agents entered the residence and took him into custody, Greer said.

The unveiling of the USAID’s scandalous misappropriation of money continues. This week, MSNBC tried to toss a lifesaver to Stacey Abrams, asking her to explain the $2 billion allotted to her pop-up nonprofit by the EPA when she lacked all experience for managing so much money. Didn’t work. In fact, her own words underscore that this was a Democrat party grift. She claimed it was to be used to buy energy-saving appliances for people who could not otherwise afford them. In other words, a new, more expensive remake of the Obama phone giveaway. Imagine how Stacey would allocate this pelf.

The concept of Zionism has received adverse publicity in the press of late, especially thanks to slogans by supposedly pro-Palestinian activists in the West vilifying Jews. These supposedly pro-Palestinian activists are actually just antisemites; they have never proposed a thing that would make Palestinian lives better. Anyhow these activists call Jews "Zionists" to avoid having themselves labelled as Jew-haters. Due to a fundamental clash of irreconcilable ethical religious principles – that of Torah versus Islamic Sharia – it appears that only Israel's overwhelming military strength, command of technology and will to protect its country from tyranny can deter the nation's Islamist enemies.

A nuclear-armed Iran poses an existential threat not only to the "Little Satan," Israel, and the "Great Satan," the US, but to all the oil-rich Gulf countries in the Middle East. But in recent years, especially since Donald Trump’s first presidential run, the paper’s shift from left-of-center to hard-left extremism has become obvious and overt. The paper has never endorsed a Republican presidential candidate in its history — boosting the likes of Jimmy Carter (twice!)

[Barnard's] radical "studies" departments are propaganda mills that teach students what to think rather than how to think. Consider, for example, the "Women's Gender and Sexuality Studies Department". Its website calls for students to "smash the white supremacist hetero-patriarchy." In other words, this women's studies department has little to do with scholarship, teaching or learning. It has everything to do with advocacy. That is true of many other specialized studies departments at Barnard. Signs at these protests call for "war" and "intifada".
