Executives at the Walt Disney Company are reportedly worried that soaring prices are alienating families from its theme parks, with internal surveys showing a decline in guests who are planning return visits to Walt Disney World and Disneyland. The price of attending a Disney park has skyrocketed in recent years, with the typical price of a four-day stay inside the park rising by $1000 between 2019 and 2024, a new study conducted by The Wall Street Journal showed. The vast majority of that increase — nearly 80 percent — comes from new charges for services that were once free.

I would not take my grandkids amongst the perverted employees, even with free admission.

One positive out of this; All the while we have been in the Magic Kingdom, we didn't see one homeless or a tent anywhere on Main Street, USA.

It isn't just the expensive fees but their ridiculous cultural positions. People go to amusement parks for fun not a freak show.

Having been to Disneyland in CA several times and the last time was a long time ago, I would really love to go to DisneyWorld and Universal Studios in FL. HOWEVER, hubby and I just can't afford it and it is just the 2 of us. Also as others have said, I would go for fun, and I am not pleased with Disney policies at this time.

Disney has badly strayed from Walt's vision of wholesome entertainment for families with children. I grew up watching Disney on TV every Sunday night and have been to Disneyland and Disneyworld as a child and a parent. I can still afford the parks and Disney's streaming service but I will never spend another dime on anything Disney. Both environments are perverted and I want nothing to do with Disney. Thank Heaven I never bought stock.

The whole Disney company went off the rails years ago. It is no longer the company that produced the original "Mickey Mouse Club," and the "Wonderful World of Color," for TV, and a slew of wonderful G-rated movies for children of all ages including "Thomasina," "The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh," "Greyfrier's Bobby," "Pollyanna," "The Parent Trap," "Swiss Family Robinson," to name a few.
The only way to register our disapproval is to quit supporting the dreck they produce now.

If I got free passes I wouldn't go. They go out of their way to cater to the most odious of our population. I have no desire to subject myself to that.

As you arrive at the Walt Disney park they start by screwing you for parking.
You proceed to the gate and they screw you at the gate.
They cut back on the rides so you spend the day in lines, and if you get hungry they screw you for something to eat or drink.
When you leave, tired from waiting in long lines and walking from one place to the other you are indeed well screwed.

The Disney of today is not the Disney of my childhood, the Disney of "the world is a carousel of colors". I have never been interested in visiting Disney World. There was a time when Disney's films were adventurous, funny, family entertainment, what you looked forward to watching on Sunday evenings, the wonderful world of color.

#8, The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh is my absolute favorite Disney film from my childhood. When Disney released it on DVD from their vault, I bought it right away. I have read that it is Disney,'s rarest and most sought after movie. The Miracle of the White Stallions, Almost Angels, Hans Brinker and the Silver Skates were also gems. These films incorporated history and didn't insult one's intelligence. Johnny Tremain as well.

Are they joking? They have been pricing out middle class families for almost 10 years now. Our last trip to WDW was in 2018 and the costs were horrible then. We would go annually due to being DVC members and we genuinely enjoyed the parks. But when the focus stopped being families and started being on DINKS (dual income, no kids) whether straight or gay and whales (that Star Wars hotel fiasco!), we knew it was a huge money grab and middle class families don't spend money like "pet parents", Saudi princes, or "happy gay couples." They have made their bed as far as we are concerned. Go broke!!
