On Wednesday, the Supreme Court heard arguments in U.S. v. Skrmetti, a pivotal case addressing state restrictions on controversial medical interventions, including puberty blockers and hormone treatments for minors with gender confusion. At the heart of the case is a Tennessee law banning these procedures for children, with the court’s decision likely to have far-reaching consequences. Will our country protect children from these barbaric and irreversible procedures or not?
As I previously reported, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson humiliated herself when she bizarrely tried to equate banning transgender procedures for minors with prohibiting interracial marriage. She began with a convoluted statement:

Jordan Neely’s father is suing Daniel Penny over his son’s chokehold death on a New York City subway car as the jury still deliberates whether to convict Penny of manslaughter.
The suit, filed in New York Supreme Court on Wednesday, accuses the Long Island Marine veteran of negligent contact, assault and battery that caused injuries and Neely’s death last year.
Neely’s father, Andre Zachary, “demands judgment awarding damages in a sum which exceeds the jurisdictional limits of all lower Courts which would otherwise have jurisdiction,” according to the lawsuit.

Jeff Bezos said he was 'optimistic' about President-elect Donald Trump's second term on Wednesday and even plans to 'help him' achieve their shared goals.
The Amazon founder was often seen as antagonistic toward Trump during his first go around in the White House.
However, Bezos expressed some excitement about potential regulatory cutbacks in the coming years. The video player is currently playing an ad.
'I'm actually very optimistic this time around,' Bezos said on stage during a wide-ranging interview at a conference in New York.
'He seems to have a lot of energy around reducing regulation. If I can help do that, I´m going to help him.'

Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) isn’t sold on Pete Hegseth as secretary of defense. The Iowa Republican had her meeting with President-elect Donald J. Trump’s nominee, appreciated his service—Hegseth is a decorated combat veteran—and said they had a frank discussion about the confirmation process. Mr. Hegseth is the target of a Brett Kavanaugh-like smear campaign, where allegations of sexual misconduct and heavy drinking are bubbling up on the pages of the fake news press. Yet, Ernst doesn’t seem keen on voting for his nomination. Instead, there are rumors that she’s trying to derail him to get the job for herself. She also supports the transgender nonsense to continue in the military,

Transgender activists broadcast their intrusive takeover of at least one women’s bathroom on Capitol Hill on December 5.
The transgender takeover marked an escalation by the mostly male movement in their campaign to demand access to spaces that are used by women to guard their sexual privacy and career opportunities in a diverse society. (X Video) The intrusions were done by two groups. One took over a bathroom in the Capitol Hill Visitor Center, and the other group occupied a bathroom in a hallway of a building used for the representatives’ offices.
The second group included Chelsea Manning, a former soldier who claimed transgender status after being convicted in 2013

“I hope Americans will understand why a father and a President would come to this decision,” President Biden wrote in the last line of his statement explaining his unconditional pardon of his son, Hunter Biden. In doing so, he actually went full circle: The very first line of his statement emphasized their father-son relationship as well: “Today I signed a pardon for my son Hunter.” So it was Biden’s open and close.
His PR team deliberately positioned it this way, of course. They had to: Hunter Biden isn’t a sympathetic character.

California’s fast food industry shed more than 6,000 jobs after Democratic lawmakers passed a bill mandating a $20 minimum wage for most fast food and counter service restaurants in the state, according to a new analysis of labor data.
U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data show that between September 2023, when California governor Gavin Newsom signed Assembly Bill 1228, and June 2024, Golden State fast food employment dropped from 570,909 jobs to 564,743. That’s a loss of 6,166 jobs, or 1.1 percent, according to an analysis by the nonprofit Employment Policies Institute.

CNN National Correspondent Lucy Kafanov has a rainbow flag emoji in her Twitter handle and was wearing rainbow gloves on Wednesday, but CNN Newsroom still thought she was an appropriate choice to send to the Supreme Court to cover oral arguments in U.S. v. Skrmetti, the case that seeks to answer whether Tennessee’s ban on so-called “gender-affirming care” violates the Constitution. In addition to some horrifically one-sided reporting, Kafanov also sought to shame Tennessee and its supporters by rolling out 10-year-olds who identify as transgender to claim that they are in danger of being murdered.
To anyone unaware of Kafanov's activist stance, she quickly made it clear which side s

Former Washington Post journalist Taylor Lorenz has sparked outrage after she appeared to support the murder of UnitedHelathcare CEO Brian Thompson.
Lorenz, once a rising star on the internet beat, issued a series of controversial posts on Bluesky shortly after Thompson was assassinated in midtown Manhattan on Wednesday.
'Woke up to see this spammed in my group chats,' Lorenz wrote alongside a celebratory image that read, 'CEO DOWN.'
'People have very justified hatred toward insurance company CEOs because these executives are responsible for an unfathomable amount of death and suffering,' she wrote on a different post.

Acting Secret Service director Ronald Rowe erupted into a screaming match against Rep. Pat Fallon after the Texas Republican ripped the protective agency’s failures that enabled two assassination attempts against former President Donald Trump. Fallon lambasted Rowe for waiting days before visiting the Butler, Pa., site where Trump was nearly killed on July 13 — and then presented a photo showing the acting director near the now-president-elect instead of his detail during the Republican’s visit to New York to mark the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Multiple women's golfers came forward to praise and celebrate the LPGA's rule change on Wednesday that bars post-pubescent males from competing against females in pro competition.
The organization said in a news release that male players who have gone through male puberty are barred from competing in the LPGA Tour, Epson Tour, Ladies European Tour and all other elite LPGA competitions. The new rule will go into effect for the 2025 season.
"Players assigned male at birth and who have gone through male puberty are not eligible to compete in the aforementioned events," the organization said. "The policies governing the LPGA’s recreational programs
