McDonald's has finally revealed why it does not have records to verify Vice President Kamala Harris' claim that she worked at one of its restaurants in the 1980s. In a memo emailed to McDonald's USA franchisees the corporation confirmed that while Harris had 'fond memories' of working at a location in Alameda County, 'we and our franchisees don't have records for all positions dating back to the early '80s.' A copy of the internal letter was posted by an anonymous McDonald's franchise on social media and confirmed by the Wall Street Journal.

Trump took a slight 47%-45% edge over Harris in a new Wall Street Journal poll — a four-point swing from an August survey in which she had a slight advantage over the 45th president.
Both polls included third-party candidates.
The most recent difference is still within the margin of error so Harris could actually be leading Trump, according to the Journal.

A hit piece published Tuesday in The Atlantic featured a claim from former President Donald Trump’s chief of staff John Kelly that Trump had praised Adolf Hitler’s generals.
The Atlantic’s editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg highlighted Kelly’s claims, which he alleges happened more than four years ago. It’s a recycled claim from a 2022 book by New York Times reporter Peter Baker and New Yorker reporter Susan Glasser, titled “The Divider: Trump in the White House.” The pair wrote in the book that Trump had asked Kelly, “Why can’t you be like the German generals?”

Female athletes worldwide have lost nearly 900 medals to transgender-identifying male competitors who have intruded into women’s sports. “The replacement of the female sports category with a mixed-sex category has resulted in an increasing number of female athletes losing opportunities, including medals, when competing against males,” the report said.
Titled “Violence against women and girls in sports,” the August study conducted by the United Nations found that by March 30, 2024, over 600 female athletes in more than 400 women’s division events across 29 different sports were defeated by transgender-identifying men. Male athletes have taken over 890 medals from female athletes, the report said.
