Democrat Angela Alsobrooks boasts a wide 14-point lead over Republican former Gov. Larry Hogan in a new poll of the Maryland Senate race, with two weeks to go until Election Day.
Alsobrooks, the Prince George’s County executive, pulled in 54 percent support among likely Maryland voters, compared to Hogan’s 40 percent, according to a new survey from Emerson College Polling/DC News Now/The Hill. Another 6 percent were undecided. The new results mark a 5-point uptick in support for Alsobrooks since September, while support for Hogan dropped 2 points.

The GOP is only as strong as its candidates - our collective policies and beliefs are what they are and it would foolish to think all the Dims will agree with us and cross the aisle. That is not to write off Maryland but a victory for Alsobrook and in other blue states simply signals what we are up against now and far into the future - battle after battle and indefinite war. If we compromise, America as founded may well not survive in a recognizable manner both to the harm against our own descendants but elsewhere around the globe.

I never liked Hogan - thankfully I do not live in Maryland. His snarkiness towards Donald Trump is just stupid and he would not be a reliable Republican vote in the US Senate - see the likes of Romney, et al.

The only reason I will vote for Hogan is that if he won it would help Republicans to be he majority.I don't trust the man a far as I can throw his fat butt, ----but he did leave Maryland with a $1 Billion dollar surplus that Governor Moonbeam Moore has spent already.

Like No.2 says! I say that this guy Hogan is proudly anti-Trump and he’s paying the price. I presume that after he’s wiped out in the coming election, he'll go back to being a rainmaker in some law firm.

Aside from the fact that every Alsobrookes ad are complete lies, we're talking about Maryland here. A state more left of California or Oregon. In fact, Maryland makes those states look downright conservative. I've been wondering for months if voting for either would make any difference at all. With Alsobrookes, we'll have a leftist that will vote for anything anti American without any persuading from democrat leadership. With Hogan, we have the pure definition of the term RINO. In fact, some of Hogan's ads state he is an independent who will not vote with Republicans. The only reason to vote for Hogan is that perhaps he'll be pressured to vote for some Republican bills. Other than that, there really isn't any difference between these two. There's a reason Hogan became governor of Maryland. He ran as an anti-Trump candidate.

Go to Polymarket.com and check out how the betting markets are sizing up the Presidential election in Maryland. Trump has the same chance of winning there as Harris does in taking Montana. 1%.
Lucianne is getting really annoying with pop-unders and music playing garbage.
I feel like this acts like a 1990's porn site... from what I hear, of course.

I'm shocked! An old white Republican is going to lose to a leftist black female Democrat in Maryland? I guess being a super RINO is not enough.

Outside of the Baltimore-Washington corridor, most of Maryland is fairly conservative. Unfortunately, that area is swamped with GimmieDats, which is why Dems usually win non-local races. Hogan won the race for governor because his opponent was too bad even for Dems. His anti-Trump stances cost him his base.

Nothing would ever get me to vote for a Democrat. Some of them try to act normal to get elected and then they vote in lockstep with Dem leadership.

Hogan is a pompous RINO. He was on Fox News last night and was rather smug about distancing himself from Trump, although PDT graciously endorsed him.
Looks like Hogan will be a card-carrying member of the Bush/Chaney wing of the RINO party. May they all enjoy the suck.

If I lived in Maryland I'd vote for him, I suppose, but I'd send $$ to other races.
I wonder if I could find a box of Kleenex emblazoned with Trump's smiling mug. I'd send that to Hogan for his loser's tears election night.

The only benefit to Hogan winning is he would have been an "organization day Republican." He would have been a vote for the Republicans to run the Senate. Otherwise, he would be a disappointment. Looks like we will not have to deal with that. Being a severe Republican I would vote for him if I lived in Maryland.

You think he'd at least follow his neighbor Casey in highlighting Trump positions he supports.

Other than one less Republican to give the Republicans control of the Senate, I could give a crap about Hogan. If he were elected, he would just be a replacement for that lowely Romney.
