An Ohio court has referred to county prosecutors a criminal case brought by a citizens’ group against the Republican presidential and vice presidential candidates over their comments about Haitian immigrants but rejected the group’s call to issue arrest warrants or misdemeanor summons. Springfield officials said in a statement Saturday that the Clark County municipal court found no probable cause to issue warrants or summons on misdemeanor charges against former president Donald Trump and his running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance. “The matter was then referred to the Clark County prosecutor’s office for further investigation,” city officials said.

Former first lady Melania Trump revealed that she is a staunch supporter of abortion rights in an excerpt released Wednesday from her forthcoming memoir--a day after her husband, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, vowed he would veto a federal abortion ban, should Congress pass one. [Snip] “It is imperative to guarantee that women have autonomy in deciding their preference of having children, based on their own convictions, free from any intervention or pressure from the government,” she wrote in her memoir, according to The Guardian, which received an advance copy.

Disrupting communications is a military strategy that has been deployed during wars throughout history. It’s also what the federal government has done to rural Americans as part of its war on Elon Musk, a tech billionaire whose support of free speech has put him at odds with the Biden administration and other powerful Democrats. The decision to cut rural Americans off from broadband communications had already been strongly criticized as harmful, politically motivated, and completely without merit even before Category 4 Hurricane Helene wrought destruction last week in some of the most remote areas of Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina.

With the United States facing arguably the “most important election since our Nation was founded,” more than 200 retired generals and admirals are endorsing former President Donald Trump for president. In a letter published Monday morning, Flag Officers 4 America issues a stinging indictment of the failed policies of President Joe Biden and his cackling vice president, Kamala Harris, the Democrats replacement standard bearer following the party’s silent coup in July. The endorsement is also a counter shot at the recent letter from Trump-hating former national security officials endorsing Harris. [Snip] “We must ask: ‘Is our national security stronger or weaker today than four years ago?’

As the death toll and devastation from Hurricane Helene soars in the southeast, both Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are being briefed by officials on Monday, as the destructive storm is smack in the middle of the White House race with just over five weeks until Election Day. [Snip] "I've come to Valdosta with large semi-trucks, many of them, filled with relief aid. A tanker truck filled up with gasoline, a couple of big tanker trucks filled up with gasoline, which they can't get now. And we'll be working to distribute it throughout the day," Trump highlighted.

Vice President Kamala Harris is fond of saying that Donald Trump is only in it for himself, not the American people. Well, this weekend we saw, in a picture-perfect example of psychological projection, Harris throwing a small business under the bus for her own supposed political gain. [Snip] But Trump's running mate graciously forgave the snub, while greeting fans in the parking lot, paying for the crowd's meals with a generous tip. The store released a statement saying he was welcome and that their employee had just been surprised by the cameras.

Former President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner encouraged the United States on Saturday evening to “tell Israel to finish the job,” in the aftermath of the news that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in an airstrike.[Snip]There is no going back for Israel. They cannot afford now to not finish the job and completely dismantle the arsenal that has been aimed at them. They will never get another chance.[Snip]Kushner added that within the “past six weeks” Israel had killed “as many terrorists on the US list of wanted terrorists” than the U.S. government had killed “in the last 20 years.”

Former First Lady Melania Trump believes her husband’s survival of two would-be assassination attempts in recent months are due to divine intervention. While sitting down for an exclusive interview with “Fox & Friends” this week, Melania said that Thomas Matthew Crooks’ and Ryan Routh’s failed plans to gun down her husband were “miracles.” “If you really think about it, July 13 was a miracle. Like that much and he could not be with us … I think something was watching over him. I think, it’s almost like the country really needs him,” she said.

Judges on a New York appeals court appeared open-minded and receptive to the possibility of reversing or reducing the $454 million civil fraud judgment in New York Attorney General Letitia James’ lawsuit against former President Trump. Trump appealed the civil fraud ruling that demanded he pay more than $450 million. The former president’s attorneys called New York Judge Arthur Engoron’s ruling "draconian, unlawful, and unconstitutional." [Snip] Trump's defense also brought in expert witnesses, including New York University accounting professor Eli Bartov, who reviewed the Trump financial statements at issue in the case and said he found no evidence of accounting fraud.

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio, WJW-TV [Cleveland, OH] - In the state of Ohio, private citizens have the ability to legally file criminal charges. Tuesday, a Haitian nonprofit called Haitian Bridge Alliance did just that, bringing criminal charges against former President Donald Trump and Ohio Sen. JD Vance [Snip] The bench memorandum and supporting affidavit filed at Clark County Municipal Court comes following unfounded claims from both men regarding the large immigrant population in Springfield, Ohio. The attorney for the organization says there is probable cause the two committed crimes and they want a judge to affirm that, file charges and issue arrest warrants for both men.
