Disrupting communications is a military strategy that has been deployed during wars throughout history. It’s also what the federal government has done to rural Americans as part of its war on Elon Musk, a tech billionaire whose support of free speech has put him at odds with the Biden administration and other powerful Democrats. The decision to cut rural Americans off from broadband communications had already been strongly criticized as harmful, politically motivated, and completely without merit even before Category 4 Hurricane Helene wrought destruction last week in some of the most remote areas of Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina.

Trust Musk at your own peril. Musk is for Musk and no one else!

The Universal Service Fund has been around for thirty years and the fee is on every bill in the country. The Fund was enacted to insure Americans in rural sections of the country have quality communication and it also includes digital services. FCC is playing pure politics with the tax payers money and if Trump is elected here is another 3 letter organization that needs a enema

I trust Musk, just like the two stranded Astronauts at the space station. They certainly trust Elon, who could have done a rat move and asked for more money to bring them back. Who else could bring them back, Boeing, Russia, China, NASA? Nope. Only Elon Musk, and HIS company, who charges less and delivers a lot more. Emotional crybabies who have done much, much, less with their lives, hate Elon, because everywhere they turn they see his influence and his success. One poster has no idea about results vs spite.

The Universal Service Fund is a scam fund to use for reverse engineering of alien spacecraft. What else could it be since it has not accomplished anything observable.

#1, there has been a constant poisoning of people's minds about wealthy people. Yet, there are some very wealthy people who lives philanthropic lives. By the way, I think the poisoning comes from jealous people. Anyways, I would change up your opinion and it would look like this: "Trust Bill Gates at your own peril. Bill Gates is for Bill Gates and no one else!"
Just like righteous anger, it is what you do with it. A lot of people think anger is wrong. Yes, it is if you do wrong things with it. Anger is an indicator that something is wrong and not right. Please refer to the Bible where Jesus overturned the tables of the money changers. Well, I can say the same thing for wealth - it is what you do with it. . .

After thinking about it, there is one sentence I need to reword in my above comment. I made the comment "A lot of people think anger is wrong." I need to change it to a lot of people think even righteous anger is wrong.

Elon Musk is a successful businessman...he thinks out of the box...like President Trump...they came up the hard way...by their own wits...so I'm happy he's on our side...as to his future...we'll see what President Trump has in store for him....I hope it's being part of the administration...and all the swamp rats can kiss my grits...

Thanks to Elon and his own $44 billion, X (Twitter) is now one of the few remaining lifelines to free speech. As John Kerry confirmed the other day, the left sees the First Amendment as an obstacle.

Zigrid is correct, as usual.
And Elon will be an asset to DJT’s Great Team, even now.

Why I love and trust Elon Musk; he is a genius with more mind power than most countries AND he speaks to us on our level of understanding. What's not to love??

Very weird! How did y'all get "anger" "jealousy" and "hate" for Musk out of what I said? Personally, I don't give a flying flip about Musk one way or the other. All I said is that he's NOT trustworthy. That's it--nothing more, nothing less, and nothing else.
Oh, and if you don't believe me, hide and watch!

To update a well-known assertion by Adam Smith...
It is not from the benevolence of the The Starlink developer, the Twitter owner or the SpaceX rocket designer that we expect our communications, our un-censored speech and our space station rescues, but from their regard to their own self-interest. We address ourselves not to their humanity...

According to the article, the FCC, in 2020, awarded Elon Musk’s Starlink an $885.5 million award to provide 35 states with broadband access to 642,000 rural homes and businesses. In 2022, “the FCC’s politically motivated cancellation of the contract left rural Americans with no options.”
